The hotel was a perfect location for trams trains and buses. Everything we needed was in walking distance or close to transport. The staff were very friendly helping us with day trips and general information. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was large with amazing floor to ceiling windows. Also had black out curtains which was great at the end of a long day.

We paid extra for a room with a view into the square but unfortunately that's not what we got as the trees outside the room are extremely tall and have been photoshopped out of the hotel pictures. If you look carefully you can see this which is disappointing as we did pay extra. The rooms say the have a bidet but they don't (this wasn't an issue for us) The breakfast was mediocre but there are plenty of places around. Unfortunately the week we stayed there was something going on in the square and there was loud live music every night til midnight.

Super hotel! Clean ,excellent, helpful staff. room was large and clean ,with firm mattresses , a big bathroom and a nice balcony overlooking the square. Breakfast was outstanding and was includedin the price. Great lounge downstairs with really comfy chairs and neat antique furniiture throughout. Location was on Rossio square, geographic center of Lisbon and all the action. Many many resturants in easy walking distance. A short walk north to catch the Hop on Hop off buses - a must in visiting the castle etc.

Amazing location and value for money. Right beside Rossio Square, 1 minute walk to Metro and shops, location could not be better.

The hotel was very old and the facilities were poor. Breakfast was limited. If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is definitely not for you, but if you want a place to sleep and shower, this place is perfect.

Central location, with access to a metro station directly on the square the hotel is located on, and a big public transport hub on the next square to get to Belém or to LX factory, for example. Easy to get around the city from here, whether you want to walk or take the bus or the metro. It's an old building, with lots of old, well-kept furniture in the building and the rooms <3 The breakfast buffet is good, especially the juices and scrambled eggs. There's also a lot of different teas you can choose from. You get the same things every day, but we didn't mind. Plus, you get to eat in a really nice salon-like hall with windows and a small balcony overlooking the square, that can be used all day, so after breakfast as well. We didn't really have time to chill in the salon because we were out and about all day, but if you need a break in between, I would imagine it's quite nice. Our room was surprisingly big and had a balcony looking over the busy square. There was more than enough space for our stuff, and we loved the balcony and watching all the other tourists on the square. All in all, it's a great place to start discovering Lisboa after a good breakfast :)

Access to the city and shopping places

There are few steps going up before the elevator. Hard for Seniors to carry the luggage.

The hotel is excellent—not modern in style, but perfect for a comfortable stay of a few nights. The location is outstanding, a solid 10 out of 10. We booked a room with a square view, and it did not disappoint. Breakfast was gorgeous, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Lisbon.

People with disabilities may find it difficult to reach the elevators, as there are stairs that must be climbed first.

Upon arrival after a last minute booking the hotel had provided us with a free upgrade to the top level with the best view of the square, castle, etc. This was such a nice surprise and I would recommend that view to everyone. Breakfast was included and very nice. Front desk staff recommended and set up an excellent day tour that we really enjoyed.

Our AC unit made a noise and the shower curtain should be replaced.

The location is super - close to everything and very central. Rooms are good and depends on room category booked. Breakfast spread basic and could be improved - but the eggs and bacon made up for it. Have to give credit to all the staff - Tania, Vasco, Joao, Marco, Sandra, Isobel, Ruben, Catia and Carlo - who were very accommodating and went the extra length to help us out.

Elevator should go straight up / down to and from the room level and not stop at level 1 all the time. The long bath should have a rubber mat - to prevent a fall from a slippery bath tub.

Location (it’s truly the best!), excellent breakfast, wonderful staff, big room with balcony and very large bathroom! Seriously though- the location. it’s beautiful and also right in the center of all of Lisbon. the rossio train station is about 3 min walk (need this for Sintra), and the 28 tram is about a 5 min walk. the river is about a 7 min walk. it’s all here. Theres also an elevator which is great after all the hills too ;)

it’s a outdated, which you can see from the photos, but that’s inconsequential compared to the friendly staff, breakfast and phenomenal location.

Great location, friendly staff, good sized room, bath in bathroom, staff put a bottle of bubbly in our room for my birthday. Quite old fashioned but we liked it.

Shower was an attachment on the bath, to attach on wall the hook was too high to reach. No tea making facilities in the room. Quite noisy at night because of location. Booked a room facing the square but because of being on 2nd floor all we could see was the pigeons in the trees!
