The welcome and service at FLH properties is always superb! This was our second experience, having enjoyed the Urbano Hotel in Lisbon so much a couple of years ago. Neither the AMAZING ALISON or BRILLIANT BEATRICE on reception here at Santa Catarina Suites could have done more to ensure that our 4-night stay was comfortable, enjoyable and memorable - from the welcome glass of port on arrival (and available daily in reception for guest enjoyment), to the 24/7 coffee, cake and other light refreshments constantly available, to the breakfast served every morning to our room on a little trolly by the hospitality staff, to the unhurried and knowledgable suggestions of where to go and what to do everyday, everything was exceptional. All of this, coupled with the accommodation in a such a grand and well cared for old building, complete with original features but also with modern touches and finishes, made our stay here ‘feeling like home’!

Nothing - but do be aware that due to the age and design of this property, there is no lift and there are lots of internal stairs to climb to reach all rooms. Probably not suitable for anyone with mobility concerns…

We had a terrific room at the top, quiet. You could see the sunset. 🤩 One can select own excellent breakfast and it's served in the room. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes nearby and also metro and bus stops. Location is perfect at the pedestrian shopping street. One can enjoy coffee, cake and fruit in a nice space on the second floor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything. 🙂 Cozy feeling.

Small minus is that there weren't good chairs in the room. Otherwise nothing comes to mind.

Truly welcoming, kind staff. Wonderful breakfast. Sparkling facilities. Very comfortable bed. Location was spectacular. Old building was stunning. I can’t recommend it enough!

There are quite a bit of stairs and the toilets in the room are not very private. So, come here if you are mobile and don’t mind an extra workout, and if you and your partner are comfortable using the restroom relatively in the open or you’re traveling alone. Not detractors for the right person, just wanted to make note!

The staff were fantastic. The location is located well as everything is located within walking distance. Loved that if I were in the hotel around 14:00, on lvl 2 there were afternoon snacks put out for guests. If you wanted something to do (activity or some place to eat) the staff were more than happy to help. The bed and pillows were very comfy.

After arriving at the hotel, I had to wait for the hot water for ages, but after that it was fine.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy. The breakfast was yummy. Loved the coffee stations on each floor and the complimentary cake and snacks in the afternoon. Same goes for the complimentary port. The front of house staff were really friendly, knowledgable and helpful. A big thank you to Beatrice for carrying my case up three flights of stairs. Alison and Luisa were both super helpful as well. The location is brilliant. Five minute walk to the metro station for the airport opposite Santa Caterina. All major attractions are easily walkable. I would definitely stay here again, and try other FLH hotels.

I'm not a fan of bathrooms with glass walls!

Perfect location. Comfortable bed . Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast delivered the room every morning was comprehensive and delicious! There are coffee/tea making facilities on each floor and the cookies and cakes are delicious.

There is no small fridge in the room although there is space for it - it’s nice to have a cold drink and a snack after a long day walking rather than having to buy it. Be aware that there is no lift - long climb to the higher floors - not a negative, but just be aware.

The Room was lovely. The staff was very welcoming and warm. The breakfast was okay. We loved the touch of offering cake in the afternoon.

As others have said there are no straps at this hotel which wasn't too much of a problem for us. The coffee in the morning should be improved, and the best on offer with breakfast was not good, felt frozen and baked in oven. There are hundreds of bakeries in Porto who make fresh bread everyday.

The small kitchens on each floor were great, and the cake every day at 17:00 was a nice touch. The location was excellent. While most of the staff were nice, Luise went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was great.

In our first room (#14) we woke up at 5AM to find a fairly large water leak in the corner, which started leaking while it rained overnight. It appeared that the water damage had been there for some time and hidden behind a fake decorative plant. Luise handled this very professionally and moved us to another room in short order once we told them. Other than this, our stay was fabulous.

Very nice and friendly staff and good breakfast! Cleanness and central location as well!

No privacy from the toilet... get the room together only if you are OK to hear literally everything. The room we stayed in didn't have a normal window (there's one on the ceiling that lets the light in) to outside (didn't know that when we booked - maybe it said on the detailed page).

Very small accommodation right next to front desk so it was a little noisy at night and we heard the phone ring around 4am from the lobby. Our room’s bathroom was separated from the bed by a thin piece of glass with sliding door so very little privacy in the room
