The location is great. A few blocks from Rua Santa Catarina (pedestrian street) and the famous Bolhao Market. Everything is walking distance, really. Just keep in mind that the whole city is like walking up and down a roller coaster (it can be hard on older people and clumsy people like myself; be careful with those sidewalks 🤣). We had a code to enter the building, which was practical. The room was huge and comfortable and we had a terrace. The room has a complete kitchenette, dining table and sofa. The best thing about this place? The host, Ursula. She was kind and helpful. She explained where the supermarket was and all the things we needed on arrival, and when my mom caught a bad cold I asked her if she had a small blanket and she gave me an extra duvet and let us check out one hour later. Thank you Ursula!

We had a wonderful stay at this ideally located and affordable property, thanks to the warm and welcoming staff. Ursula was attentive when we contacted her over the phone, ensuring all our needs were met, while Maria greeted us with a friendly and cooperative attitude upon our arrival. The two-bedroom family suite was spotless and fully equipped (fridge, microwave, utensils). The Wi-Fi connection was strong throughout our stay. As we stayed on the top floor during our visit in July, we were initially concerned about the heat. However, the air conditioning in each room worked perfectly, keeping us comfortable throughout our stay. The guidance we received on places to visit and the effort Maria put into helping with our luggage was remarkable. Thank you!

The apartment was under 5 minutes walk from Bolhao Metro station so it was very easy to get to and easy to find. The host messaged me on the day for an ETA which I thought was nice. I messaged upon arrival and Ursula gave me a door code to enter the building before coming down to the entrance to check me in and hand over the keys. She also gave me a handy map and marked the main sights for me and good walking routes to take. The apartment was lovely and spacious and had its own terrace area which I used a couple of times for lunch. I imagine that would be lovely in warmer weather. The bed was extremely comfortable - that’s usually an issue for me so this was a big bonus! Moments away from a busy shopping street, I felt safe as a lone female returning to the apartment, sometimes in the dark. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked well. I was disturbed a few times by prolonged heavy footsteps which I think came from the apartment upstairs, which I guess could be an issue in any apartment, but there was no major traffic or road noise and no late night bars / restaurants making a noise either so that was great. Although I was just on the first floor, its worth noting that there is a lift for easy access - this is possibly quite unusual so another big bonus if you are on higher floors. Wherever you stay in Porto, there will be lots of walking to the various sights and I think, on the whole, that Uma Formosa Apartments are in a great location. Fantastic all round.

My only small criticism would be that the lighting in the kitchen area was poor which made it difficult to see what you were doing and impossible to read cooking instructions on food without standing underneath the tiny wall light! A couple of under cabinet lights would solve this very easily. If you eat out a lot this won't bother you!

We absolutely loved our stay here!!!!! We only stayed for one night, but we would loved to stay more!! The room was very clean, the bathroom also very big and clean, everything seemed new. It is right in the center of Porto, great location, just some minutes away from the metro. What we also appreciate very much and was extremely useful for us was the fact that we could leave our luggages after the check out for free. Also, the room was ready before the official hour for the check in and we basically got an early check in. Very friendly staff, thank you for everything!

Not a complain, more as a suggestion for the host..maybe one more mirror in the room, as the only one was in the bathroom.

We had a fabulous stay at Uma Formosa apartments! The correspondence and responses before and during our stay were quick and to the point. We received a warm welcome and our host explained in detail and on a map our location in relation to the most important sights of Porto and how to reach them. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location was fabulous and close to restaurants and shopping. Bolhão market was in short walking distance and so was the metro. We had a fantastic time and will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Porto!

Only thing I can think of is that we had trouble getting the coffee maker to work correctly, but there were great cafes just down the street!

Location: 1 min walk to the train station, 2 min walk to the shopping/restaurant strip (including Cafe Majestic, Manteigara) Street was quiet outside and felt very safe. Look for the red door. Room: Very spacious and aesthetic. Had complete set of materials. I also loved having a balcony! Staff: Host was easy to reach via WA. He was ready on our arrival and even provided us a map of the city as well as recommendations. Hotel: There are elevators!

I would say that we had a wonderful time at UmaFormosa, a completely renovated building with a cosy style that respects the architecture of the city of Porto. The location is perfect for exploring the city centre and 5 minutes away from the metro station, so I would say ideal for getting around the city comfortably. The flat is equipped with every necessary comfort and the kitchen is very well stocked. Impeccable cleanliness and really attentive to every detail. Much appreciated the coffee maker with complimentary pods to make yourself a good cup of coffee upon waking up. A big praise to Ursula, who from the beginning was always very helpful and friendly in explaining the city and helping us with the organisation of our trip 🤩

A bright, spacious room with a new renovation, which could actually accommodate up to 4 people since the sofa folds out. The location is also excellent. A nice price.

The bathroom door couldn't be closed, there were only 2 coffee capsules for two people for two days, and no tea at all. There was also mold in the shower — minus 2 stars for that. Additionally, the soundproofing was so poor that we could hear every step from the neighbors upstairs. 🙈 Other than that, everything was fine.

The property was beautiful, clean, and included so many comfortable amenities. The location was amazing and was close to many great Francesinha restaurants. The host was extremely kind and accomodating. She met us upon our arrival to give our keys and even provided us with a very helpful map with attractions/beautiful spots to explore, as well as options for transportation. The actual room iteslf was amazing and totally exceeded my expectations. The value was great.

Modern, good location and spacious with a balcony. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom with excellent shower. Plenty of hanging/storage space. Kitchen had everything we needed as, apart from breakfast, we ate out. Very good microwave - idiot proof.

While there was a balcony the view around was not the best but this was made up for by the location.
