We managed to get a room last minute after I made a mistake booking a different hotel, in the evening of all times, and not only did they find us a room they upgraded us for free after a really stressful evening and it was really appreciated and made our trip so much better! I can't thank the staff enough.

I like the fact the staff don't bother you but the woman that got me kicked out did it before so that really wasn't cool considering she was meant to have lost her job. I liked the fact that it was quiet. Does that job for a budget hotel could be abit more cheaper especially if staying longer.

The staff that was rude and got me kicked out. People that don't look like paying guest entering the premises. Some of the people was smelly but sad there wasn't like restaurant available for budget friendly meals as it's city center and the prices for within the area could have gotten more business opportunities like paying customers even they aren't guest

All the bedding was white. The bed was very comfortable. The curtain blocked the light completely. Everything I could want was provided. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Suggestions: It would be useful to have arrows showing the way back to the lifts as the layout is quite complicated. (And possibly arrows for stairs back to reception.) There is a free city map with things to see and do which I found at Moor St station when leaving. It would be good to have copies of this at reception for guests new to Birmingham.

One of the main attractions in regards to the property is its location, it’s in central Birmingham, around amazing shops. If you walk out the hotel, it’s easy to get to the bullring, grand central and other great shops. Moreover the hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. In respect to the room, it was clean, the bathrooms are modern, the bed and pillows were comfortable and I had a nice view from the window. In comparison to other hotels the price is also cheaper than most!

The only downfall is the interior, it’s a bit old fashioned and outdated. However if you can look past that, it’s a great place to stay.

A large TV, lovely showers. I used to stay years before the refurb, but stopped because it wasn't up-to-date and noisy. Going back was a pleasant surprise as I went into a single bedroom. I was transported into what I can only say was a well-worth-the-money, professional and inviting room to spend the night. Not a room with a view as it's the 7th floor and in the centre, but this was made up by being minimal but effective.

The new shower was a little wobbly, but was discussed with housekeeping and reception, who noted and would be seen to by maintenance. Negative reviews that, back in the day, may have been valid, but you're in the centre of Birmingham, right near the nightlife, lots of people and near the station.

After reading reviews I wasn’t expecting much at all. But I can say it was very clean and you can’t get a better location. Staff were friendly, and it was a very comfortable stay. My room was on 2nd floor and near the lift, and even with that there wasn’t much noise from outside or in the corridor, although a couple of occasions late night revellers finding their room were slightly noisy. But nothing too bad.

I asked for fresh towels for the morning I was leaving and was told house keeping would bring it to my room but I never received them. A woman had one too many drinks in the town and couldn’t find her room so she was trying to open my door. I’m shining she was just on the wrong floor. Only one lift working for all 9 or so floors, so this took some time to reach my level. I just used the stairs as i was able too and only 2 floors up it was easy for me

After seeing the reviews not going to lie I was worried as I usually use a different hotel every trip here,but thought I would try it ad price was great.... we arrived Friday and checkin was easy plus payed a little charge foe early,room was on 7th floor. basic but that's all we needed room was very clean ,lovely bathroom with great shower,bed comfortable,stayed the 2 nights and no noise was heard from other guests,staff on reception were helpful. definitely will use this one going forward.
