I liked how close the hostel was to the beach, public transit, and restaurants. I liked that the hostel provided a safe, quiet place for me to sleep and store my belongings while I was travelling.

There was some miscommunication between the hostel and I regarding my plans. I did not know that I had to check in with them regarding my specific travel plans. I was under the impression that as long as I paid for a certain time period then I would be reserved for that entire time period. I had left the country during my stay at this hostel but left some of my belongings there. I returned to the hostel but the staff thought that I had left for good, even though I paid for the entire time frame I would be there.

I stayed in a private room for a week, I enjoyed having my own space to settle as I had never travelled solo before. There were plenty of toilets and showers, the bed was comfy and room had everything that was needed. The included breakfast was also nice (I like cereal and toast)

Issue with staying in a private room was the lack of socialising and meeting new people so I struggled with meeting people. However, I met people on the group tours so it wasn’t really an issue

On the doorstep of everything you needed. Beach, sea, shops, restaurants, regular buses, etc. Breakfast was basic and that's all you need. It was cereals, or toast with selection of jams and coffee or tea. Cleaned well throughout.

As mentioned to the guy on check out when I handed the keys over. Stay was great, but it was just the closing of the doors as they slam shut. He said that he knows and will look into replacing the doors for quieter one's. Also one washing machine that isn't working and one dryer that does work. But they could do with 2 working washers and 2 dryers. The kitchen is just not suitable at busy times, you're dancing around people to get things. The newly main bathroom upstairs. It didn't get cleaned for about 4 days and the bin was overflowing. The lounge needs new sofas, one has a burnt arm rest.

The location was perfect, as it was within close proximity to the beaches and coastal walks and also to the bus stops. It is also close to places to buy food and groceries. It is actually a pleasant walk to Randwick as well.

This is tricky as it depends on other people staying at the place. Some other travellers are a bit irresponsible in how they leave the bathrooms, but mostly it was clean and tidy.

I would very much recommend this hostel as a budget stay in Sydney where you get complimentary breakfast as well. The rooms facilities were pretty good except that it was a bit small for 4 people to reside together. There was the laundry table and a big mirror just opposite to my room which came as an extra luxury for me. Talking about the location I would say its located a few meters from the Coogee beach and the bus stop too is located just outside the hostel from where you can board buses to different places. Once you step out of the hostel you will find a lot of good eateries and that too different varieties to grab and hence there's no worries about food. However, its located a little far away from the Sydney CBD as it takes around 40-45 minutes to reach Circular Quay(Opera House) via the light rail. So if someone wants to stay in a quiet place then the location is perfect to choose. Also its not very far from the international airport. Plus the kitchen in the hostel facilitated to cook and store food on our wish. The hygiene and cleanliness was properly maintained in the whole place. You can also dry your clothes out in the balcony. However, laundry is chargeable.

Staff was very kind. Everything was very clean. The location is so close to the beach, it is amazing. We enjoyed a small, family-like hostel with a nice kitchen and toast and cereals for breakfast. Cozy livingroom, Terrasse for breakfast. Stayed in a two bed room.

The rooftop pictures on the ad are taken from a Bar close to the beach. It is not the hostels rooftop and you can not see the beach from the hostel. There is no AC, but you can open the window. You might hear constant noise from the fridge through the window.

Location is great, right at all major bus stops and right on the beach front. Staff were very helpful and attentive to cleaning and caring for the hostel. Pam was a great help and a pleasure to deal with!

No AC makes sleeping difficult in the heat, although each room do have a fan. Laundry services could improve.

Super chic location, met so many charismatic travellers at the hostel, which is more for the refined traveller rather than your standard bogan hostel dwellers. This hostel ranks above others. In fact that’s selling it short - it’s really more like a bed and breakfast. Super helpful management, super lovely -provided us with great travel tips and overall made it a terrific stay for both me and my partner. Definitely recommend using the bikes to take a tour around the picturesque bay walk from Coogee to Bondi…absolutely breathtaking!

Couldn’t fault the place

I really enjoyed the location, staff were friendly and accommodating, rebooking without having to switch rooms was no hassle & the heater in the common room was very nice 🙂 24 hr access & pretty quiet, Coogee Beach is excellent 👌🏼

Sometimes the showers didn't run hot, although the hostel owner did ask if that was happening & seemed on the case.

I arrived late at night, and my keys were visibly placed near the reception. The hostel was easy to find, and the location was great. Coogie is one of my favourite beaches, so I'd happily go there anytime again

I didn't manage to unlock the room door with my key, luckily the roommates helped me out.
