The views are absolutely stunning. Book a room with a terrace / patio and you get to enjoy it 24/7. Our favourite was the breakfast picnic delivery, to be able to sit on the terrace together and leisurely eat breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are authentically decorated, so don't expect super modern finishes but they're comfortable and homely. We had a room that was set in the garden away from the main house and it was perfect for us. Great to be able to order drinks and snacks by the pool, or to your room, also very reasonably priced local produce. They could do with a WhatsApp number to order when you can't find staff, but not essential. As you're on holiday, sit back and relax. Two nice restaurants in town for dinner. About 11- 15 minutes walk.

Minor issue with our Aircon dripping. Staff had popped a bowl and towel underneath it, but we could still hear the drip at night. It wouldn't stop us staying again. They did try have it fixed while we were there, so they're proactive. The rooms could do with a small fridge - the town largely shuts down from 2:30-7:30pm daily and during that time there's limited options for food. So it would be nice to have somewhere to keep a few snacks. We travelled with a small baby, so it made more of a difference to us than it would to other travellers.

We loved everything about this hotel. Excellent location, very quiet and amazing views. The hotel has character, very quiet and the rooms perfectly adequate. The pool was great with amazing views and there were plenty of sun loungers to go around. The service was great, especially breakfast where they laid on a feast every morning for the 7 of us !! Lunch was quick and easy too and very well priced. There aren't too many places to eat locally but enough for a 3-4 day visit, with great local food at local prices. We were very happy with our stay and we will be going back I'm sure. A perfect place to lose yourself in peace and quiet for a few days - with the odd vineyard to visit too.

well, actually it’s not the format of Quinta. you will have only your room and that’s it. usually in quinta you have free access to all shared territory and the hosts are very welcoming and invite you to seat near the fire, take a breakfast in the building. feel this atmosphere. here - no. breakfast they bring to the room which is not good because of the smell, near the table in the building they put sign “only fir staff, don’t cross”🙈 there is the living room with fire which is so good in the automi but they alway keep the room with no fire and music. again like a silent hint: “we don’t welcome you here”. the staff never (!) smile to you. no hot pot for tea and no fridge in the room. And no shared ones. you must ask the staff but they not happy with it)))

Our room was right next to the pool so we heard the people there talking pretty loud inside the room, ants were a problem in the room, the toilet itself was too small & too low, no fan in the bathroom for hot air after a shower, no open restaurants around on sundays but their snack bar is open till 7pm

The place, the view, the staff and the environment was just a 10 / 10! The breakfasts were extremely generous and very good. I have a good appetite and the breakfast satisfied me very much. Every morning we had someone bringing our breakfast to our room😀! Not only the breakfast that is good, we happen to order 2 hamburger one night and they were also very good. The bed was very comfortable

Nothing, it was perfect!

We stayed for only one night but definitely would go back for a couple or more days. The view is amazing, the pool, the calmness, the room, staff… we went by train and they organized a taxi to get us on the station. There are nice tradicional restaurantes on the village only 10min walking from the property.

The view from the terrace is spectacular and the included breakfast was good quality/value considering there are limited options in the area. The pool also has a great view. Staff were friendly and provided good local recommendations for restaurants.

There is limited road parking. It may be difficult for some to carry luggage down to the property entrance if the driveway is full/unavailable for unloading. The rooms open to the same terrace- each room has its own chairs/table with divider between the others. This was not an issue at all, but if you are looking for a completely private balcony/terrace this is not that.

It was an amazing stay. All the property is like a little castle with an unbelievable view. Very quiet and clean. The ladies who work there are all very helpful and kind. Breakfast is really good, hot and cold choices and fresh orange juice.

There are no supermarkets nearby. Not a problem, just have to plan in advance.

We had a private room off to the side of the main house next to the pool. It was quaint and just perfect! The view was priceless. We were able to choose the breakfast brought to our private patio each morning and everything was delicious down to the fresh squeezed orange juice. We highly recommend this iconic villa in beautiful Duro Valley. Found a lovely quinta for wine tasting at St. Teresa winery just a short drive away.

Magnificent view from the room's private terrace. The terrace came with chairs and a table - which we used to sit and just take in the views. The room was large and comfortable - as was the bathroom. The pool was lovely - an infinity pool overlooking the river valley. The breakfast was delivered each morning fresh to our room - it was delicious and hearty. When we asked for more coffee it was provided the next day in our basket. We had a lovely time and I can't wait to return.
