Great location, walk to everything, comfortable bed in a spacious, clean apartment. And having the sofa bed meant my friend and I each had our own bed. 👍
Unfortunately there are no flyscreens on the windows, which are sliding doors, which is a real problem in summertime! No ice cube trays for our G&Ts 😉 and it would be good if there was Netflix to chill out in the evening. A few more kitchen utensils would be appreciated.

This place was amazing! We were on the ground floor and the very last unit at the end so it felt very private. It was very spacious and well laid out. It was also very and modern and clean. Everything about this place was huge ... the shower ... the towels ... the bed .. the lounge area ... the outdoor space!!! The location was also fabulous - a short stroll up the road to have dinner and a sunset stroll back along the beach.
The only small thing - The lift was out of order - so we had to take our bags from parking area below up one level - but there was a ramp so it wasn't a drama. If you were staying on one of the upper floors it could be an issue as there would be some stairs involved.

The apartment felt very private with its own entrance off the side of the building. It was very quiet, and had options of roller blinds, shades and sheer curtains. The room was clearly very new and tastefully decorated. Loved that the TV was high up in the corner of the room, easy to watch in bed. Sufficient space to walk around furniture and small desk/kitchenette area. Good little fridge with chilled glasses, free milk, plus a kettle and tea/coffee. Good size wardrobe with hangers, ironing board and spare pillow. Bathroom was beautiful and clean. Loved the shower over bath, which turned out to be a spa bath - bonus! Lovely toiletries provided, as well as good hair dryer and bath sheet size towels (much better than ordinary size towels you get other places). Parking is in an underground car park, very handy during the warmer months. Wish I could have stayed a couple more nights!
The bed was a bit hard for my liking, but good size. Only other issue was poor ventilation of the room. Woke up to a very humid room and a lot of condensation on the glass (no window in the room). Had to sit with the door open for a bit in the morning to allow air in. There is an air- conditioner/ heater on the wall, but as it was a mild night, I didn't think I'd need it. Would recommend using it just to maintain comfort overnight.

The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. We stayed in a motel room so facilities were limited but that’s my fault for not booking an apartment. We were right in town which is full of great restaurants! Great location next to the beach. I would definitely stay again.
The bathroom was dated and the bath over the shower was quite rare to see. We’ve been travelling around Australia and most rooms and apartments have a walk in shower. That is fine for us but not great for anyone with mobility issues. The lift was also not working which would be a problem for anyone on the first floor. I say that because I’m an occupational therapist so I always consider what it might be like for someone with limited mobility!

Offered upgrade so plenty of space. No need to wash up just load the dishwasher and turn on when exiting. Very quiet. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Nice decor and furnishings.
Sliding doors had no netting so hesitant to open them. A lot of west facing windows heated up the rooms so had aircon on which didn’t get to bedroom. Not comfortable to sleep. Second night opened sliding door in bedroom and was good but lucky no insects. Had a fan or cooling gadget in bedroom but didn’t have instructions to use it. Found damp patch on bedroom floor had wet some clothes. Took several phone calls to explain we were reporting the problem for the next guest only

The room was large, spacious , private and easily accessible. The staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. I stayed the weekend for the GOTU100km race and the location was perfect. Easy short walk down the street to local cafes, restaurants and grocery store (foodworks). Just across the street from the main beach (and race start line). The hotel was also very easy to find when driving. Beds and pillows were extra comfortable and the apartment had all required facilities to also have a cozy night eating in if desired. The little patio (was on the east side) had fantastic sun from morning into the afternoon and was a lovely place to relax with a book. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
You could hear the neighbors/other guests moving around when outside in the walkways. Though all guests were very respectful and moved through these areas quickly. The parking spaces are a little tight, so be careful with big cars/vans. Though there is ample parking also right on the street which is somewhat even easier to drive in and out from.

Great location, very friendly helpful staff and magnificently appointed rooms. Very comfortable, bright without being intense and very hen we needed privacy from the world we had that too. Quiet, even though it was on the main road across from a magnificent beach. Thank you so much for looking after us so well. We will be back.
Needed a fly screen so we could open the doors and let in the fresh sea air. We needed to keep the bugs out and so we couldn’t open the magnificent glass sliding doors and windows. There was great air conditioning and everything was clean bright and we could feel the clean.

The location was great. The beach was just across the street, and there were bars, cafes, restaurants, and a grocery shop all within a 10-minute walk. There was plenty of parking space available in the underground garage. The room was clean, comfortable, and not too noisy. I cannot comment on the staff since we did not meet anyone during our stay, but check-in and check-out went smoothly.
The room was a bit small, which might have been an issue for a longer stay. The lift was not working, so we had to carry our suitcases upstairs.

We stayed for two nights in first floor apartment with large bedroom, kitchen/dining/ lounge room. Separate shower room - great hot shower and laundry room washing machine only. Balcony off bedroom and large roof terrace with seaview.(we weren’t expecting that). Excellent cooking facilities. Good WiFi and a/c. Good location for shops/ cafe/beach. Sadly dull wet day so did not go to beach.
There was no lift so had to carry luggage from basement car park up stairs. Reception only open 3 to 5pm to collect keys so if late collect from key box.

The Apollo at Apollo Bay sounds like a fantastic choice for a stay during a Great Ocean Road trip! With friendly staff, excellent service, and a convenient location surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, it seems like an ideal spot to relax. Being close to a calm beach and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket adds to its appeal. Plus, the chance to see wildlife at nearby spots like Wildlife Wonder or Kennett River Nature Walk is a great bonus. Its location about halfway along the Great Ocean Road makes it convenient for exploring the area without too much driving in one go.
The baby spiders in the room were an unexpected downside. Have to sweep the bed carefully before sleeping.
