We were upgraded to a two bedroom, two level apartment which was very nice as it was our wedding anniversary. We had a sunny balcony and a view of the gardens. There are lots of little touches and attention to detail in the accomodation, it reallly was very nice - fluffy towels and a great shower and everything you could need. We had a good soak in the mineral pool despite some young ones next door making a bit of noise. We didn't hear them after that - it was nice and quiet and it was good to have AC in the upstairs bedroom. We would defintely go back!

This can't be changed but the stairs were very narrow and a bit steep to the upstairs bedrooms. Apart from that slight inconvenience everything was excellent.

Such a cute little resort. I loved having a view of the water, especially during sunset. I also really loved the personal geothermal spa. I've been to geothermal pools and there's always a lot of people, or the pressure to be social. I loved how it was private for just my husband and I. They also really thought of everything. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels, AirBnB's, and regular bnb's. There is always something missing here or there, but not at this resort. I will definitely be a repeat visitor in the future.

We really liked the room , it felt homely and was very comfortable . Thought had gone into the furnishings and the outlook to the very pretty rose garden was great. The little touches like a vase of roses on the table were lovely. the light fittings were like something you would have in your own home much nicer than the standard motel . The furniture and carpet were good and the layout of the room well thought out. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure in the shower. The park right by the room was appreciated. Plenty of power points and USB outlets. Finally the private spa was just bliss.

A lovely one bed duplex apartment set in a pretty garden setting. we had a view of the lake from the upstairs balcony. there is a road in front of the apartments but as the buildings are set back it is less noisy than many others . There are apartments opposite but the Lake can be seen between these. The apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and was comfortable for our one night stay. the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The hot tub with is filled with water from the natural geothermal source. We enjoyed a walk around part of Lake Taupo. we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

For us there was nothing we did not like but it is a long walk or a short drive into the town centre for food etc.

It was exceptionally clean and comfortable despite the size. We did have three children though. Bbq was great and the kids loved the trampoline. Out of the previous 3 serviced apartments we stayed in leading up to this one, this is by far the cleanest. Bed was very comfy too.

Probably pushing a little small for a family of five to sit and eat inside but we easily made it work as there were extra chairs upstairs and quite a few garden seating options. This property is no more tired than any others around it.

The spa was amazing! Also cute gift left for us by the owners wife! Super sweet! Great night sleep! Aircon was great! The gentleman who checked me in was super accommodating and lovely! Cute little library i found at property. Easy parking, about a 5min drive to taupo town centre! Super safe area! Will be back for sure! Thank you! 😊🥰✨️

Nothing that we didn't really like to be honest. But if you need a full length mirror then that would be the only recommendation, me being me i love to see my outfit in full hahal! Otherwise great!

We recently spent 3 nights at the Phoenix Resort motel for a weekend away in Taupō. An older style motel with a lovely outlook to the garden and across to the lake. Our room was spacious and very clean, generous kitchen with kitchen facilities including dishwasher. The queen bed was comfortable with good quality linen, and we were kept very cosy with the heat pump. The hotelier was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had every thing we needed for our stay, with excellent recommendations for places to eat and also sights to see. The rooms have their own private thermal pool, and it was lovely. We would definitely stay here again when we come visit Taupō again. Thank for having us!

The only downside to our stay was our thermal pool had a slow leak from the plug. The owner wqs very apologetic and though not completely resolved he was quick to remedy this to a satisfactory outcome

The host was super friendly, facilities were everything you need, and the hot water private pool was excellent. Added bonus of free laundry, which was much needed after a couple of weeks of travelling. The rose gardens were a delight to sit back and relax in and cook dinner on the free BBQ. It's not 5 star, but management have put considerable effort into making their guests comfortable in a clean, user-friendly environment. I would definitely go back there again.

Car park is a bit tight.

Spa was mostly private, loved that it was outdoors. The view from the balcony was amazing, the entire place (bar the fence out the back) is well maintained, and the room, beds, and spa were clean. Greeted nicely on arrival and enjoyed the conversation as I was shown to our room. Gracious and courteous hosts. =)

* We felt a little rude playing quiet music in the spa for us to relax with, the people next door's spa possibly could hear it too which felt a bit awkward. We didn't want to ruin someone else's experience, but also wanted to enjoy our own experience. * There was no scouring pad for us to be able to clean off the kitchen tray properly, and the ice cube makers leaked into the freezer due to cracks in their structure. * Should be able to cast, or stream, to the TV's, but this is not possible here. We ended up watching our shows on our tablet instead of the big screen... trivial matter really, but it did impact on the enjoyment of the experience here.

The owner is very nice and friendly, going the extra mile just to make you feel welcome. The rose garden is just spectacular, and having breakfast outside becomes a must do.Very good communication even though we arrived later than normal hours. The rooms are clean and serviced every day.

Our room needed some refurbishing, and the kitchen is missing some utensils, but Bob was very responsive to cover the missing tools.
