The staff really make this place amazing. The place itself is nice, well maintained and has good amenities - a restaurant and 2 pools. The restaurant is lovely, and great for those nights you don't want to deal with the masses on the strip in Airlie. The free continental breakfast was well cooked and stocked with basics, but there are menu options if you wish to order & pay for something specific. Lovely coffee. The staff were awesome, very helpful and went above & beyond to ensure we were happy with everything. The room itself is large and comfortable. I enjoyed having access to the pool via patio on the ground floor. The location is about a 5-10 minute walk from the strip.

The glass gate didn't lock with a key, though, but we could see our room from the pool. Cleaning staff kept putting all their items in the carpark directly outside our room, and I had to move it out of the way so we could park there every time we returned.

First and foremost, the people working there made the difference! Shirelle in reception (if i spell it correctly - the smiley yound lady with the 3 kids in reception 😀) really kind, considerate, does everything possible to help you, gives solutions in any request. E.g. had to check out and leave my luggage super early, hotel was not busy, reception opens at 7am, but she came 10min earlier just to serve me, and opened also the breakfast for me to take a bite before i go to my half day cruise! When back, she also helped! Meabh also at the bar and restaurant service, always smiley and kind! And also taking care of the garden, when not busy, and making the rooms more beautiful with flowers! The hotel is just over the main bus/ boat station, 8min walk, has really clean and really spacious rooms. All is working properly. Even a small balcony that you can enjoy your coffee outside with a view. Road underneath not noisy. Bed and pillows really good quality - had a great sleep. Recycling in the room, towel only for make up -- loved these small details nowhere else in the world found! Amazing also the outside pool - did not use, but seems really artistic. Oh, and the restaurant has great food - grilled fish and chips was super tasty and well served. Wish I could stay longer!! (Not happens often in a stay, I would say, and I'm travelling quite a lot!). Felt taken care of and happy!

We loved the continental breakfast and the view to the water. Staff were very friendly. Car parking supplied close to our room.

First morning at continental breakfast the lady on duty made us uncomfortable to eat. Questioned my 10 yr old and husband on how much cereal was in their bowl. (We had only just arrived to breakfast). She needs to calm down. 🫶🏻 The lady was getting upset about quests eating the food. You could see her annoyance at restocking supplies. I’m sorry if there is a budget - but we personally did not over eat. There were a lot of guests on Sunday morning breakfast. I was dreading day 2 breakfast- but we had pleasant staff onwards. ☺️

Clean, well looked after, super friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble, and the grounds and pools were well maintained. The beds were so comfy, the room was spacious with an amazing view, and it was so handy having space to cook dinner rather than eat out every single night.

The laundry wasn't very well lit and was quite expensive. Some of the cleaning chemicals smelt a bit strong at check in but nothing an open door didn't fix :) the parking situation was also a bit random and sometimes hard to negotiate (narrow spaces, no numbers/allocated parks)

Location was good about 10minute walk to Main Street mostly flat or about 7 to 10 dollars in a taxi.Breakfast was included which was very nice it was a great way to start the day. All the staff from the restaurant to the staff on reception and the cleaning crew were all friendly,polite and very helpful it made the stay very enjoyable

Very easy to check, friendly service from both night and day staff. Easy to find park and find out room, on the ground floor. Room was big, bed was big to. With extra pillows and blanket in the wardrobe in the room., plenty of power outlets for phone chargers etc, coffee tea etc in the room.

Unfortunately the room next door and above us had very loud and noisy people staying in them, which made it difficult to sleep when people are so loud that the adjoining door to the next room does nothing to block the noise. Breakfast juice choice could have been better, as i cant have apple juice. The shampoo i used was something i forgot to bring with me so used the room supplied one, maybe upgrade or change the brand.

We bought dinner at the Palms Restaurant which is part of the Colonial Palms complex. It was absolutely delicious. I chose the rib eye fillet and it was cooked to perfection. The quantity and quality of the sides was great. The room was quite comfortable although the bed was a double, not a queen. There were two reasonably comfortable chairs and a small table in the room as well as a table and two chairs on the balcony. The bathroom was adequate.

As part of our booking a continental breakfast was included in the tariff. We had to catch the boat at the marina to travel to a Whitsunday island. We needed to depart the motel before the restaurant opened for breakfast. I enquired about having a breakfast box (e.g. just a croissant/muffin and small tub of yoghurt which would be served with the continental breakfast) but was told flatly that they do not have room service. I wasn't asking for room service, just a box to pick up at reception as we dropped our key. We have travelled to many countries and if we needed to depart before the breakfast session we have always received a breakfast box. As I stated it was included in the tariff. This was the disappointing part of our stay.

It was right next to the ferry for Hamilton Island. The restaurant was very good. It was on the edge of Airlie Beach. The staff were all lovely.

We had a big room on the corner but it wasn’t one of the nicer ones with the nice balconies. Outside our door was a bit of a dumping ground for old trolleys etc. It wasn’t awful but it was a bit soulless. Also the pillows were the worst ever-I never thought I would complain about a pillow! It’s also right on the road and a roundabout.

restaurant with breakfast onsite, continental breakfast included, restaurant great for dinner, p[rices okay and meals ok as well. Glutenfree bread was supplied if you asked for it. washing machine/dryer on the premises nice pool just outside the rooms clean, older facilities

however if you wanted a proper brewed coffee you had to pay for it. should have at least filtered coffee and herbal tea included in the continental breakfast not cheapy black tea bags and powered coffee, standard should be a slighly higher. re rooms, they should have a drying rack in the rooms if you dont want your clothes in the dryer or hang up your towels. was expecting more professional stuff sitting at reception not backpackers who dont even know the area.

In a perfect location, only a 10 minute walk into the main town where shops and restaurants are, had a great view of the marina. Room was very clean and comfortable, air con was great as it was very warm during our stay. The owners are lovely and helpful & great at the complimentary breakfast which we enjoyed every morning. Parking right outside is great and spaces are big and undercover. We didn’t use the pools but they looked beautiful.
