The hostel was at a great location and very clean. The outside area was gorgeous and the morning breakfast was tasty although rather small. Almost all the staff were lovely, very accommodating and easy to get along with.

One of the staff members, Marc, made us feel very uncomfortable during our stay. On multiple occasions he made inappropriate or insulting jokes and comments toward us and a few other guests. It was to the point where we were hesitant to leave our room on the evenings he was working the front desk. All the other staff were amazing though and very kind and accommodating, this was only an issue with Marc. Also not a great indoor common room at this place which is often needed because of how much it rains on the island.

First off the hostel is located in the centre of town only a short stroll from the city monument The staff really go out of there way to help The lower half of the hostel there is louge and kitchen area This must best hostel I've stayed in for a long while The dorms have toilet and a shower and extra toilets and shower outside the dorms The place was absolutely spotless cleaned every day and bed Tidied up by cleaning staff great clean showers The beds have a light and little shelf and power source with really big lockers underneath The hostel run really good tours every day covering all places around the island The hostel has a restaurant next door where breakfast is served on rainy days There is an amazing garden with mini pool to chill out in The resident 2 duck are beautiful Every morning folks gather for breakfast served by staff which is a lovely touch Every day breakfast is different and filling Bread yogurt with fruit pancakes syrup coffee and a hot choice of breakfast like an omelette or eggs on toast really high standard of food Can't wait to revisit

The hostel has no faults which is extremely hard to find these days I recently stayed in a Raddison hotel and this hostel beat it hands down for quality

I had the warmest welcome I ever had to a Hotel/Hostel. The staff sets a beautiful family and friends atmosphere that helps you open up and connect to them and other guests and plan things together to explore this unique island. Incredible Breakfeast every morning, every day different and served - I was really surprised and looked forward to it every morning and again it set a beautiful setting to talk and get to know eachother. The staff is extremely helpful, involved and will help you arrange and plan for things you want to do. Can also really recommend the daily tours they offer.

The breakfast was included in price and was amazing 🤤 Was very tasty every single day. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. Adrian met me and explained everything about the place. I liked the house, beautiful garden. For a hot days there is a small Swimmingpool 😎 On the territory the cat and 2 ducks are living. There is cozy kitchen , with fridge, lokal tea and caffemachine . In the hall u can find a shelf with useful information about what u can do on the island. It’s almost central location. The rooms and bathrooms are clean . Towel is provided. U can ask for a hairdryer on the reception also. There is an option to rent a room if hostel format is not for u. Cool that in hostel they provide activities like every day hiking tours (30€), family dinners(20€), calm tourism (cards with tasks). In the same building is restaurant where u can have a good food or just go to have a drink in the evening. I really appreciated with the community of people there.

The curtains on the beds would be nice for more privacy. Also would be good to have a place for drying the clothes, because the weather on the island is unpredictable , some guys from my room catched the heavy rain and dryed clothes at every free place in the room 😬

I had seen a lot of information about this property on tik tok and it lived up to the hype It is fantastic value for money, great location and the inclusions are great. The breakfast is delicious and the family dinner is available from the restaurant next door and presents great value for money. But it is the staff and other travelers it attracts that makes it that much more special. The daily tours and ability to build connections with other travelers makes this hostel a dream, and is perfect for those traveling solo or in small groups

The room is small but comfortable. We really loved all the wooden furniture. The bed is comfy and the view of the garden from the balcony very pleasant. The building is old and refurbished with great taste, preserving the old and adding a touch of modernity. What we enjoyed most was the friendly atmosphere in the whole structure and the fact of meeting people from all over the place. We had new year's eve dinner at the hostel's restaurant and it was great. And we hung out with a bunch of the people we met that night and the following day. Breakfast is delicious.

The hosts (especially Helena and Adrian) were so welcoming. They were always greeting us with a smile and helpful tips on restaurants. Breakfast was very filling, with eggs and pancakes prepared creatively each morning. We rented a room with a private bath, which was very spacious and clean. The location was very convenient to the airport, restaurants, and historical sites. We walked into old town every day and often our restaurant choices were within walking distance as well. Complimentary yoga mats that we utilized in the spacious back garden.

We liked everything but the bathroom could use more hooks for wet items (we visited thermal springs 3x and often had wet suits and towels) and more shelf space near the sink would be convenient.

The staff was very sweet and helpfull. They were also organizing group tours. The room was bigger than I expected and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was tasty. The atmosphere was really friendly, actually, this accommodation played such a big role in my stay in São Miguel it honestly felt like 70% of the whole amazing experience.

The floor or the doors in the hallway were a bit noisy. I was afraid I might wake someone up in the morning.

Loved the breakfast, the garden, and how accommodating they were with luggage and use of the garden area before check in and after check out. They also called us a cheap taxi on our way out. Beautiful hostel, great private room! Eat at the restaurant downstairs, their food is incredible.

Don't go there if you need quiet indoors in the daytime. (lots of music blasting during the day while they clean, music in the garden during breakfast and you can hear people stepping on the stairs and exiting rooms quite loudly. But it's a hostel, and it was honestly the only negative thing I could find.

Great hostel!!! The vibe is amazing, very social & perfect for solo travellers. Very clean, with cool shared spaces, especially the beautiful garden to enjoy breakfast in the sun and meet cool people! Special credits to the staff, they are all so kind and fun, very welcoming and friendly - especially Luciaan (amazing receptionist!!!) and Romain (amazing tour guide!!!), both super attentive & hospitable. They also organise daily tours around the island, a cool way to explore and socialise! I highly recommend the “Ring of Fire” tour with Romain. Will for sure come back!
