Clean, comfortable, spacious, lovely staff, great location, quiet

Competing for parking with those going to the day spa - or paying $10 for parking - feels a bit unfair. Had to park at a different hotel and walk across with heavy suitcases. Also feel that for a resort, it shouldn’t be up to you (when paying +$400 a night) to wash, dry and put away dishes. That should really come under the included housekeeping fees. This isn’t an air bnb with an external hired cleaner, it’s a resort/hotel. You’ll need to hire a towel at the hot springs or use your one towel from your room, which is a bit stingy honestly.

Lovely modern clean rooms and very comfortable bed. View of the other apartments and garden was good.

I am a coeliac and communicated this prior to booking for breakfast to see if GF could be catered for safely when talking to restaurant staff on arrival. The first morning the lady who greeted me was not forth coming with food being prepared separately out the back as a buffet is NOT safe for coeliac disease. Under sufferance she said they could prepare poached eggs on GF toast. Stated other coeliac guests had brought their own GF food in that morning. My toast came out with no eggs initially as they did not want other patrons to see I “had special treatment” . I calmly stated you need cater for dietary requirements especially when staff reassure you cater for GF. Poor service in dining area so went elsewhere on our second morning .

This was our 4th Time to the Deep Blue Hotel and Hot Springs... WE are never disappointed!!!! Staff were all very help full and friendly. We decided this time to pay extra for undercover parking and was so convenient, as never enough car spaces out the front of the hotel, cost was additional $10 per day We decided to eat Saturday night dinner at "Tides" the new Restaurant and were not disappointed with the food it was amazing; the dinner host was very polite and chatty about the new restaurant venture. WE stayed in Room 323 a spa suite which had an amazing seaside view, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean, water pressure and temperature was great in the shower and easy to adjust. The bath spa was very relaxing and had heaps of water jets We had the cheese & Fruit platter prior going to the Hot Springs, it was very delicious, worth getting as a prelude to the Hot springs. The Hot springs were surprisingly not that busy for a Saturday night, and although it was a cold Winters night, that hot spring water pools were amazingly warm and very relaxing. Overall, the Deep Blue Hotel did not disappoint again, we will be back

Honestly the wasn't anything not to like, If I had to choose something, the prices of the cocktails $25 I though was a little steep, but that didn't deter us from buying them.

Food in cafe was excellent value and well seasoned/tasty. Nice being connected to hot springs for ease of access. Bedding was comfortable (although summer quilt would have been nice) and the room was really clean. Really liked the view from the balcony to the ocean.

Wine list could improve and cocktail not great. Got charged for towels in hot springs because no information was provided before booking to say as a guest they were included...the refund has not processed ..yet... Hopefully coming soon.

We stayed for two nights in a Superior King room. There was a side view of the hot pools and the ocean. The bed was very comfortable (on the soft side for me but still extremely comfortable!), and the room and bathroom were spacious. Breakfast options were plentiful (hot and cold buffet breakfast) and we also had room service while we were there, which we were impressed with in terms of food quality. All staff we encountered were friendly but especially the staff in the day spa when we had massages, and the hot pools. Both the massages and the hot pools experience were amazing, and if you're staying here, I would highly recommend doing both. I think it was Olivia who did my massage and she was fab! The hot pools were even better than I expected, and they looked amazing from just the photos. The location is fantastic for the beach, and for the beautiful walk up to Pickering Point (would recommend this for sunset) with echidnas and penguin sightings.

It was such a good experience overall, so these are very minor points! The toilet roll is so thin. For some reason, the sheets didn't fit the bed, so the lower third of the bed (from our knees down) was just the exposed mattress. Also, the bathroom 'wall' is a foldback door. It does lock into place once closed, but we found this a bit odd.

i use a walker so first room closest to lift was appreciated i have a speech problem so lady on admission was immediately aware once i showed her my booking number and it wasn't an issue - se happened to be attending to someone else at checkout but made sure she acknowledged me and gave me a lovely smile - if you have seen the movie King the Land she is just the same as the main female character in that - absolutely wonderful and such a lovely gentle smile - ladies in cafe were also very helpful with order and trying to understand me - my husband forgets to help with "translating" my speech as he is used to it - so it is hard for other people to work out what i need.

no or limited signage to entry way - we tried 3 different entrances first and then went out at night and missed it again on return - it is not signed or lit well i don't use apps so maybe that was on there - maybe a map showing different entries on the wsay as well so it's easier to find could be attached to emails.

It was a last-minute booking for us, so we didn’t expect much and just wanted a place to stay. Overall, I didn’t have many complaints – we got our room, and it was clean and comfortable enough. However, it was a bit strange to find single beds in a twin-share room. For a room that costs $330 per night, you would expect at least queen beds, but not single one. We tried Water Sanctuary located in a hotel. Overall, it was a positive experience. It consists of 14 shallow bath tubs of different sizes, some of which are located in a man-made cave and feature waterfalls. The temperature of the water ranges between 37-41°C. There is also a cool plunge tub. The only negative aspect was that it was too crowded, and sometimes when you approached a tub, there were already 5-10 other people in it. If you just want to experience the effects of thermal water, you can visit a single tub located in the spa center. It will cost you twice as much less than going to Water Sanctuary, which has its 14 tubs, considering that the water is the same.

Noise from back yard. Our room (208) was facing to hotel back yard and there were sheds with pump equipment (or what ever equipment) which was a source of a constant noise and day and night. The closed windows did not help to stop the noise. Again, strange for this class hotel to know about this problem, but do nothing.

I love the location of this hotel. It is walking distance to all the parks, beautiful walks to the beaches and special attractions like Point Richie and the Flagstaff Hill. I also love the hot springs experience because it was amazing! I have been to other hot springs but so far this experience here at Deep Blue was the best (I like the fact it's not crowded and the sulphur on the water is not smelly like other places). I must mention all the staff at the spa, Cafe and the hotel are so professional and friendly and supportive. I had a few conversations with them and everytime they have been so nice and I felt welcome there. Thank you! The room was very comfortable and very clean. A bonus is having plenty of parking both undercover and outside. One amazing thing I notice is no matter where I went I can see the hotel from as far as 55min walk from there.

If I may suggest having a few softer flat pillows.

Best thing was of course, the hot springs. We stayed on the top floor and had nice cozy spacious rooms with a nice view. The kitchen was a complete kitchen and we had a choice of cooking our own food, which we didn't do though. But it was nice to have one.

The parking area was a bit tight but manageable for our Pajero. Smaller vehicles should have no problems. We paid for the parking during our stay. However, there was a few EV charging spots/facilities.

We liked being able to make our own breakfasts in the room. Easy to pop down to the dining room for a coffee or anything else. Great food there and lovely staff.

The lighting is too bright in the bedroom, with no reading lamps. A standing lamp near the table would be an improvement in the living room.
