The room was tidy, clean and nicely furnished. The lighting variety was wonderful and the bathroom/shower were amazing. The location was also very convenient - close to restaurants, pubs and the beautiful cathedral/train station. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. This is always appreciated when traveling internationally.

I don't recall requesting a quiet room, but if I had it definitely was not accommodated. The room was located at the top back corner, windows facing out to the courtyard where children play, people gather, and walk their dogs. I also felt the room was very cramped for a deluxe double.

Upon arrival, we received an unexpected room upgrade to a suite - lovely! Our room was stylish, and very comfortable in terms of size and furnishings. Loads of closet storage for clothing and personal items. Comfortable bed and bedding. The bathroom was very large and very easy for two people to share. Great shower, and a nice soaking tub (though we didn't use it), very nice bath products. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We did not have any meals at the property. Location is exceptional. Easy walk to everything, and even the walk from the train station with our two roller bags was very easy. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. We do not speak German, but everyone on staff spoke excellent English.

The only unfortunate part of our stay is that this particular room is located adjacent to a construction project for a new museum that will be ongoing through at least 2025 I would guess. Construction starts promptly at 7am and while the insulated windows are excellent for blocking noise, don't dare to open the draperies! The construction crew is looking directly inside the room. Also - there's a very popular tour group meeting point on the sidewalk just outside this room. Another privacy issue. Can't remember if we were room #8 or #9, but you might want to ask about this in advance.

The Legend Hotel in Cologne truly lived up to its name! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and the incredibly kind staff who surprised us with a free suite upgrade. Talk about value for money! The location couldn't have been better, with the magical Christmas markets right outside our doorstep. This made it so easy to pop in and out for some Glühwein and festive shopping. What really set this hotel apart from others we've stayed at in Europe was the attention to detail. They provided all the little things that make a big difference, like slippers, bottled water, and a full range of bathroom essentials. It's clear they've put a lot of thought into ensuring a comfortable stay for their guests. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Legend Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne. We can't wait to come back!

The location is perfect, right next to the Christmas markets. The welcome was warm and check in was effective. Due to over bookings we were upgraded which is great. The bed is comfortable and the decoration is stylish

Some small things that needed to be improved: the room was dusty, the bathroom sink was clogged, the make up mirror wouldn't light up, there was a lack of cushions on the bed... If you're watching tv, only one pillow isn't enough and there is also a need for hand towels vs hair towels. Last but not least, would have been great to have a fridge. Hope this helps. The huge added value of this hotel is the location.

The hotel is in a prime location making it easy to get around the old town and to the main attractions. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by along with the main shopping streets. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was large and clean.

The bed. With two mattresses pushed together for a large bed, the gap between them was uncomfortable as I am a slide sleeper and love to sleep in the middle of the bed. Rolling into the gap would wake me up throughout the night.

We arrived an hour earlier than the Check In time and were given a room upgrade. We got Room 10 and it wildly surpassed our expectations! Room with a View and what a view, overlooks the square where the Xmas markets were being held. It was lovely just to sit/stand by the many windows looking out to the folks enjoying themselves, looking in awe at the wonderful twinkling lights & smelling the gorgeous food & drinks!!

Breakfast - Expensive & Limited Bar - Pricey Nepresso Area - Needs Lighting

We were lucky enough to have a top floor room that had a massive balcony overlooking a large city square with multiple restaurants and pubs with locals and visitors milling about till late. Only about 5-6 blocks to Central station, Koln Cathedral and from the river and multiple restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Taxis would not go up the one block cobble stone dead end street to drop off or pick up, so had to drag luggage 1 block.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The room was really comfortable, incredibly central near the main squares and had great views. The technology in the room was fab, as was the shower gels (L'Occitane). What was so lovely, was hearing the beautiful chimes of the wonderful church next door.

The room was warm, but that is nit-picking and tbh, I just didn't take the time to work out the air con, so the fault is mine. The windows were great and were multi-dimension opening.

From the moment we got there right up to our departure - the friendliness and kindness from the staff was exceptional. Clay and the crew were very accommodating with our early arrival and late departure. I love the feel of the hotel and its location is very close to the train station and perfectly located to the shopping and site seeing. They gave us excellent recommendations for dinner and how to get around. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My ONLY complaint would be that for me the pillows were to soft. That's it.

The hotel was comfortable and everything was clean and ran well. People make the difference between one good hotel and another. Ingmar who was in the restaurant when we had breakfast and around reception too was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. He stood out and made sure we had what we wanted and gave helpful advice on directions. The location was excellent within easy walking distance of the station and close to the cathedral and centre.
