The staff was super friendly! We loved the receptionist who was so kind and so sweet to our kids, and who gave vouchers for complimentary mocktails at the bar! Breakfast was really nice, the room was comfortable.

The only thing we did not like was the noise. We stayed on the 5 the floor and since there was no air con we had to keep the windows open, and the noise from the street was really disturbing. Probably because of the narrow streets and tall buildings around that it was getting so much amplified. So many cars passing with loud music at nights and many people talking, shouting. We kept getting up and could not rest properly on none of the 3 nights.

Scandic Bergen city is located in the city center . It’s very conveniently located in the city center . Ideal base for traveling to nearby fjords and around the city , the central train station is walking distance about 15 min walk . The hotel has two buildings facing each other . The have updated one of the buildings , on the other building some rooms are upgraded. Walking distance to Floyen and Bryggen the main attraction of Bergen city . The staff provided excellent service and very helpful and friendly . We stayed for four nights . I was not satisfied with the first room and told Helena in front desk she was so nice to upgrade me in a higher floor suite with massive balcony ! The view from the balcony and the room was amazing , mountain and the city on one side , Port and the sea on the other side of the balcony ! Had an amazing stay . Very much thankful to Helena ! Other staff in the front desk Pia , Joakim were also very helpful and friendly . The breakfast was excellent . Would recommend this hotel in Bergen .

Breakfast was outstanding. Nothing like in the States. Bravo! Nice large foyer to rest in while waiting for room or just to take a break. Bar also available in the foyer. Modern room, well furnished. Free wifi. 10 min walk to Byggen area, central park, fjord cruises. Maps of city easily available. A refreshment stand with a cooler containing sandwiches, etc available in lobby. Easy storage of luggage after check after until leaving the city. Short walk to bus stop. Taxi call station in the lobby. Thank you!

Room was a bit small, but quite comfortable. It was a little far from the station, but quite close to the cruise terminal. Since it was raining, there was option to rent an umbrella which was nice. Breakfast was a good spread, expected a bit more protein options for vegetarians. Location was close to the wharf and the old town as well as the cable car. Weather didn't allow us to enjoy the outdoors much however.

The umbrella rental was compulsory for 48 hrs, even though we needed it for a few hours only. An option to rent for 24 hrs at a lesser price would have been better.

The hotel was well kept. The room is spacious. Able to open up both our lugagges. The toilet was wide and spacious too with a bathtub. There's a working desk and iron/ironing board in the room, and a mini fridge. There was no kettle but you can call to request for one. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast it was a wonderful spread. Location wise, is not the closest to town but it's a walkable 15mins to Bryggen and about 10mins to Bergen Station. 5mins walk to the nearest grocery store (Xtra). The bus stop for the airport express is only 3min walk away. You can always find food around the hotel within a few mins walk. The staff were nice and always catered to all our questions.

The walls were slightly thin so we could hear when the neighbouring rooms were slamming doors. The airflow/vent in our room wasn't working so it felt kind of stuffy but we were only staying for 2 nights so we didn't bother to ask for a change or room. There are some slight stains in the bathtub but we didn't mind.

Great location in a very beautiful and walkable city. Short walk to cruise ship terminal for a Norwegian coastal cruise with Havila Cruises. Very spacious lobby and dining room with an excellent breakfast. Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff at reception and registration. Unless you are on a very limited budget, stay away from the economy rooms. Rooms in the main building (of 2) are newer and larger.

Breakfast was excellent, a lot of choices, everything really tasty! Also the room was big and clean with everything necessary (hairdryer, soaps, ironing board, fridge). In the centre, nice area, close to the aquarium, Ice bar, city center, etc.

The windows were not well isolated, even when closed we heard all the noise: cars with horrible loud disturbing noises every evening around and after midnight, nearby pubs- screaming and shouting till very late not only during weekend but the whole week (we stayed there from wednesday to sunday), the sleep was disturbed every night.

We were provided with a second room when I complained about the room allocated to us: air conditioning outlet outside the room and a depressing view of dirty roofs. The room too was decorated in a series of depressing grey tones with grey bedding and grey carpet. Our second room was much better with a street view with mountains in the distance. The breakfast was good.

The staff here are amazing, and always welcoming. Ready to help In any way. The facilities are very good with everything you need. The bed was very very comfortable so were the pillows. This place is idea to explore bergen and the surrounding areas. The breakfast buffet had an amazing array of foods on offer. You will be spoilt for choice.

The initially allocated room was not particularly suitable. When raised with Reception the Staff were very helpful and an alternative room given with much better facilities i.e. larger, 2 comfortable chairs, more suitable/better shower, tea/coffee facilities etc. All's well that ends well which was due to helpful Staff. Very convenient for Hurtigruten Terminal.
