I like the place, the location was near to Woollies, KFC, MacDonalds, which was very convenient for the family. the room was huge, clean and with comfortable beds. the view was incredible; we loved the paddock site and watching the sun set from the BBQ area near the pool. Awesome breaky and delicious pizzas. loved the house wine.... staff members were super friendly, easy check in and out. Car parked right in front of our room,, wow,,,will definitely be back in Summer.

We all enjoyed our stay..... there was nothing we didn't like.

The bed / pillows were very comfortable and lovely and clean, and the room has a lot of space. The air con was excellent. It's a much older hotel but it's nice and in a good location to Maitland or Newcastle. Meals are of a good quality.

I think the management should start to look at maintenance of curtains and bathrooms. I am a repeat customer and have mentioned these issues before. The rooms need updated Wi-Fi and USB connections to bring it up to business level accommodation. The restaurant does nice meals, but again the lower level of the restaurants ceiling has bad leaks during the rain, and it is a slip hazard for customers and staff alike. as per wed night.

Location was good and check in easy. Rooms large, comfy bed, and good aircon. No traffic noise even though near a busy road and plenty of large parking spaces.

Restaurant service could have been a bit more welcoming so we brought food for 2nd night but no bowls or larger plates supplied in the room so not easy to bring food back to the room to eat. Lounge was old and in very bad condition for sitting on but the room had a couple of good dining chairs as well.

Excellent disabled facilities. The cripples room was the closest to both reception and the restaurant. Lovely meal at the restaurant. I had a taste of the steak and it's one of the best ever. Poor waitress. Her first night so she was still finding her feet. The open fire was also lovely but it needed stoking. Due to ridiculous OH & S regs we couldn't do it. I don't think she'd ever seen an open fire before. She came over with a gas lighter!! We had to instruct her to pick up the poker but she still had no idea. She put some kindling on but it just burned off and didn't heat the redgum. She then offered to put the "Yellow Pages" on!!! A pity she didn't do Scouts or Guides.

The size of the room was excellent! There was a front entrance that you can access from the parking lot and then a back entrance too that provided easy access to the swimming pool area. Small kitchen area (no cooking equipment) where you could sit at the table if you preferred. Nice TV available for use and comfortable beds and the rocking chair was very comfortable! I did not wake up once after I fell asleep. I would definitely stay here again The staff os also very accomodating and friendly

This hotel is fantastic for anyone doing the crazy drive from Melbourne to Brisbane! The rooms are spacious with a hot shower, comfortable bed, and local TV stations. The room has basic toiletries, an iron, and a fridge/freezer (to keep snacks fresh for day 2 of driving). It is quiet and dark, perfect for a good night's sleep. The check in process is beyond simple and checking out is also as simple as dropping the keys in the box near reception.

I have stayed here a couple of times but never tried the restaurant food. Not a lot of vegetarian options if that is your preference.

Olde Worlde charm in the main building / restaurant / bar. Room was very spacious, clean and adequately equipped. Restaurant and breakfast food was very good.

Nothing major but noted attention to small details was lacking, eg the cutlery were not matching sets (room and restaurant), the cups in the room were all different, the refrigerator door needed to be pushed hard to close. All minor issues but attention to these sort of things would create a better impression.

The room was quiet and comfortable and met our needs for an overnight stay. It is on the highway and close to fast food outlets. Parking as great at the door and the room was pleasantly large.

Whilst the surfaces in the room were clean, the remained (curtains, lamps, upper edges and surfaces were quite dusty and dirty. The resort in generally (rooms, restaurant and grounds) had the potential to be first class but has been run down over the past decade or so leaving it as a cheap motel facility.

It was a beautiful motel to stay in, room were comfortable and you were able to walk around the property.The staff were very helpful and happy to make your stay more enjoyable, the restaurant foiod was fantastic, big servings at a reasonable price..

The soap holder in the bathroom was too far away from the sink.

Position was very convenient being off the highway, room size was a huge surprise, the bed was very comfortable and luxurious. The very convenient on-site restaurant had a very good selection for dinner and breakfast which was thoroughly enjoyed. The surprising decor and architecture was special inside as well as in the gardens. A beautiful place.

Just a couple of aesthetics need to be addressed and it would be perfect. (Apparently already being addressed)
