We had an awesome stay at Avenue Heights Motel! We stayed in a larger studio with a double and single bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a modern bathroom. The room was spotless and super comfortable – truly a home away from home. A real bonus was the guest laundry, which came in very handy. The hosts are absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night due to the weather, and they kindly let us keep the same room, which was much appreciated.

The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The beds was great.

We had issues finding the channels for TV. The receptionist tried to help but it was the son (who was out) who knew how to set it. Anyway, I had to figure out how to use the TV by myself. Simple instructions would have been helpful. Also, they could provide a dish rack and sponge for the dishes. There is no dishwasher, so I don't know how they expect guests to wash and dry dishes properly.

We stayed at Avenue Heights Whangarei for 2 nights. We found parking easy and the grounds tidy and clean, and the swimming pool also looked inviting. Our room was beautifully clean with a comfortable bed and bedding. The bathroom was lovely and clean, the shower had good pressure, found the kitchenette was well organized with very good quailty cooking utensils, etc. The location was perfect for us. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The price for accommodation was good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The location was a three minute ride into the centre or a fifteen minute walk so quite easy to get to. The hotel is next to a busy highway but the room was very quiet The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the two recliner seats wonderful. The unit was spotlessly cleaned each day.

The tv had Aljazera which is a good news channel but we would have liked Sky news. Would have been good if they had a vending machine for water and or soft drinks.

Great location, exceptional daily room service, friendly staff, comfortable and great accessible room. Was lovely to be able to stay somewhere with great wheelchair accessibility and to return to the room after a full on day at the NZ Maori National hockey tournament to find fresh towels, cleaned room and bed made. Free laundry facilities available. Welcoming staff who take pride in their motel. Also great to have a kitchen with everything easy to reach and accessible.

Rung them before booking it as we were late to arrive around 11pm but Staff was awesome and cooperative. Danny confirmed that they will be available to assist us even at 11 pm which was not their usual time to have the guests. The lady who was at the counter was very nice and friendly 😊 , she quickly gave us the keys and everything about our studio room was awesome. Thank you so much for such an incredible service! I highly recommend it to everyone. 😊

Excellent stay. Due to issues with the accommodation we had initially booked for our stay in Whangarei, we ended up in Avenue Heights. Friendly welcome from staff. Our room a one bed studio apartment was immaculate. Roomy, and very clean. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Laundry and swimming pool on site. Located a short stroll, 10 to 15 minutes from restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend

Excellent facilities, wonderful hosts. Helped the trip and business meetings go very smoothly as we were well rested and very comfortable in the surroundings. Danny and his wife were very friendly and helpful in all aspects of the stay. Will definitely stay here again and inform others of the high standards at Avenue Heights. Thanks again.

The location was great and convenient for local amenities and attractions. Danny and Nancy were great hosts, providing a clean and modern motel for us to stay in. We used the pool and parking was easy The bed was comfortable and the place was so clean. Free use of a washing machine made life easier too.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Amazing servicing of room, super clean. Really well provisioned unit. Loved the recliner chairs. Pool so inviting I took a dip twice.....a rare thing for me. Aircon was helpful as two of our days were very hot. Wifi worked well.

I can't think of a single thing that could be improved on. Will be my first choice accomodation when I return to Whangarei.
