We stayed at property in mid January 2025. New owners since November 2024, and they are doing everything they can to set a high standard in service. Sincere compliments to Kathy and Lily for their warm welcome, liaison throughout and standing on the curb to wave us goodbye when we departed. Kathy had even prepared a take away breakfast given our checkout was early in the morning. We had a grand connecting room on Level 5 at the rear of the hotel, which was good in size, quiet and with good clean amenities. The bed was firm and two different pillows provided per person to suit your preference. The breakfast room was nice decor, clean and food was of a good standard, with a nice range of options, and the ability to order additional cooked items from a menu. The Wifi in room and throughout hotel was very good. The location was ideal in the Old Quarter, a short walk to Train Street, Lake Kiem, sidewalk shopping and restaurants. Only a 2 minute walk to the night market, and Don Xuan market in the daytime.

The only disappointing issue (and its very small), was one evening we wanted to stay in and dine upstairs at their rooftop bar/pool, only to be told the Chef had gone for the day and we could not get any food at 7pm. Its not a big deal, it just meant we had to venture out for dinner.

My family and I were very happy with the hotel, beginning from the staff's excellent service (thank you Lily and this male trainee who were extremely friendly and proactive in rendering assistance to our queries), to the excellent breakfast and clean rooms, and central location. Perhaps the "pool" was rather misleading because it was more like a giant jacuzzi. Otherwise, it is a hotel we will certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Hanoi.

It's right in the middle of the Old Quarter about 4 blocks from Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff, especially Kathy & Jasmine, are extremely helpful and attentive. There are enough desk staff so that queries are answered pronto. The breakfast buffet is varied and substantial with eggs cooked to order. Rooms well soundproofed.

The roof top bar has just increased its beer price from 35K to 69K. Very high by Viet standards. There is no large lounge area where guests can mingle.

The location is convenient, the breakfast pho is delicious. Room is comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff generally are polite and helpful

One member of staff looked over my shoulder whilst I wrote this review, pressed "10" for a score on my phone without permission and told me that if the staff gets a rating less than 10 they'll get scolded. She watched over my screen like a hawk to make sure i give the score she wants on every metric. I've never had someone emotionally blackmail me for a review before (and grant themselves access to my phone while they're at it!) I'm only giving a 10 because of all the other great people that served us at the reception and breakfast. To the management: Please don't punish your staff for scores. This causes them to pressure customers into leaving inaccurate reviews. The behaviour by this one lady is unacceptable. Left a bad taste in an otherwise pleasant experience

What a fabulous hotel! Can highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of the Old Quarter. So close to all the sights and the action. The hotel itself is wonderful - clean spacious rooms, great breakfast, lovely little pool/spa and a great sky bar for sunset views across the city. All staff are amazingly helpful as well. Zoey on the tour desk helped us book a tour to Halong Bay which went very smoothly and a special shout out to Dave who went above and beyond to make our stay so special, even helping us navigate the streets of the old quarter with our suitcases to find our taxi when leaving! We were also very impressed with the grand connecting room we had for our family. It was the perfect set up for us and the kids! All in all, would definitely stay here again when back in Hanoi!

Thank you thank you! Zoey, Bryan and every single staff member were all so kind. I had requested a room so when we arrived exhausted at 7 am we could sleep. They only charged half a night and threw in breakfast for all of us. Every time you sit down in reception someone brings you a tropical juice. From here you can walk to the lake and markets, great street food close by. After the chaos of Hanoi, the rooftop pool is an oasis of calm My room was clean, large, with great aircon.the towels were tied up in ribbons and we were given combs and toothbrushes. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Each morning was different but featured both western and Vietnamese choices with exotic fruits and juices. The price : value ratio is extraordinary. This is a lot of hotel and service for a very reasonable price tag. I also had two massages the Four hands and the Vietnamese. Wow they were strong and I floated off the massage table, cured of jet lag Zoey helped us book a private transfer to Ninh Binh, texted to make sure we got there and even gave recommendations for restaurants and trips because this is her home town. Thank you . We felt like honoured guests and truly welcomed. Book with confidence. Would definitely come back.

Great location! The staff were all wonderful and tended to our every need. The breakfast was also great. Honestly, everything we needed. Great value for money.

AC system is centrally controlled, so we weren't able to turn it off when it got very cold at night. However, the staff were very helpful in turning on the heating and giving us more duvets the following day. The bathroom could use a bit of love (the glass shelf was a bit broken) and hot water took a very long time to come out. They should definitely vacuum better underneath the beds, there was a bit of trash and dust underneath ours.

We absolutely loved our stay at Solare de Monte. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and really comfortable - the perfect base for exploring Hanoi. The breakfast was honestly the best we had in our two weeks in Vietnam (and that’s saying something!). We booked our Halong Bay cruise through the hotel, and when it had to end early due to a typhoon, Zoey went above and beyond to help us. She kept us informed before anyone else even knew what was happening, organised our transfers back to Hanoi, and somehow found us a room even though the hotel was fully booked - she even had furniture moved and added an extra bed so our family could stay together. What could have been a really stressful situation was handled so smoothly, and we were so grateful, especially travelling with kids. We can’t recommend Solare de Monte enough - beautiful hotel, fantastic location, and truly wonderful staff who care about their guests.

This was our second time staying at Solare de Monte Hotel and Spa in Hanoi—and for good reason. We loved it so much the first time that coming back was an easy decision, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. The hotel is beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly located, but what truly makes it special is the incredible team. Harley was warm, professional, and always happy to help. Sam, the porter, was so kind and attentive—always greeting us with a smile and happy to assist. There was also a wonderful guy at the front desk whose name we unfortunately can’t remember, but his friendly and professional manner really stood out. And Zoey was just lovely and genuine, thoughtful, and always ready to assist. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, it was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety. We wholeheartedly recommend Solare de Monte Hotel and Spa to anyone visiting Hanoi. The warmth and care of the people here truly make it feel like a home away from home.

Solare De Monte is a wonderful hotel in Hanoi. We spent there 11 nights in total, in a very comfortable room (beds are great!). Breakfasts in the hotel are wonderful, wide range of dishes, from salty to sweet, also menu a’la carte like scrambled eggs, omelette, noodle soup and more. The swimming pool is also very nice (small but does the job!) together with sky bar make they whole stay a great one! But first of all, we love the staff! They are the best guys we could meet, very professional, always in good humor, willing to help. Dear hotel management - care about your employees because they are very precious ☺️
