Easy parking near main road but quiet despite that - nice layout , fantastic shower (wow!), liked the iron and small ironing board , greeted by host in a very open friendly manner , given an upgrade at no extra charge , good choice of TV programming , immaculate cleanliness and presentation , option of air con I used when the day heated up outside - it was great to enter the property which was cool anyway. Quality linen on the bed and good pillows. Loved the little chair and table outside which I would have used had it not been so hot. Unit felt quite private. And quiet with guests respectful especially after 10pm.

Bed too firm for my personal taste , WiFi did not connect so used my phone hotspot , nearly slipped in the shower as no non slip surface or grip on a wall , I have double knee joint replacements and felt a bit insecure at times but only with the first shower in fairness. Would have liked a few more food delivery places listed in the room manual which was excellent and comprehensive otherwise. Wardrobe small but served my needs and drawers capacious. Couch a little uncomfortable and had to use the chair with a pillow and 2 pillows behind me to relax properly.

The rooms are modern and very clean, and the manager was friendly and helpful. There is a reserved parking space for each room and a guest laundry, but no other services. The location is pretty good for Whangarei (easy to find, a short walk from the city centre). The weather was wintry, but my room had a heat pump, which worked well.

My room seemed cramped for the price (admittedly, it was called a Compact Studio), and there was nowhere to sit outside near my room, so I felt kind of shut in. I would rather have had a firm pocket-spring bed -- the soft bed was bad for my back -- but you don't seem to get good-quality beds in NZ accommodation. I got the impression that before COVID, this place used to provide more services (e.g., breakfast, and daily housekeeping instead of every other day) -- the room compendium needed updating.

The room was very clean and comfortable.

It was on a major road so getting into the and out of the property meet you could only enter if you were heading north and getting out you had very restricted view of the traffic and it also ment that you need to go North unless the trafic lights to the north of the property were red for traffic going south

Very welcoming and friendly. Good size milk offered in glass, not ridiculous, tiny plastic containers with 1 tsp of milk in them. Comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities and well appointed. Bathroom appeared remodelled, excellent water pressure. Location slightly out of town but quiet and relaxing.

Location was excellent. Staff were exceptional. The facility was beautiful for a motel. Cannot express how beautiful our stay was. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The rooms were so spacious and clean. Our family really enjoyed our short stay and are hoping to return one day.

Had obviously had a recent upgrade everything was beyond expectations Bed Prefect /Bathroom Perfect /Room condition Perfect/House keeping perfect it genuinely was well above expectations would have no trouble recommending credit when due I never write reviews but this was very very good and the shower was sensational well done you guys clearly reinvesting in you property and well done

Lovely clean room. Spacious. Loved the spa bath. Beds were comfy.

Toilet roll on holder got wet from splashes from bath but there wasn't really any other place for the roll holder to be positioned to be fair. Found a half drunk bottle of wine in the desk cupboard. Lucky an adult was one who found it and disposed of it.

A lovely clean studio apartment with everything required for a short stay. Very comfortable beds indeed. Friendly helpful staff. The Quay 5 mins away in car for great food.

A little noisy at night from passing traffic

Located centrally, owner was welcoming and friendly, the room was very clean and well kept. It was also amazing that they had an EV charger on site ( for a fee) but it was great that we didn't have to go elsewhere to charge.

Its the same every time I stay at BV Whangarei, never lets me down, great place, tidy, close to the CBD but slightly away from the busy town so I don't get stuck. Love this place :) Thanks Cindy & Team!
