We really enjoyed our stay at Townsville Motor Inn. The beds were large and very comfortable, and the continental breakfast was a nice touch — especially the fact that you could take as much as you needed. It made for a relaxed and convenient start to the day.

We arrived late in the evening and unfortunately didn’t receive any instructions on how to access our room. We had to call the contact number provided, but it took a long time before anyone answered. Also, we had booked two apartments, and it turned out that one had a hairdryer while the other didn’t — it would be great to have the same amenities in all rooms.

Among the various motels I've stayed in the past, this motel was truly wonderful. The pool and BBQ facilities on site were very clean, and they provided tongs, kitchen paper, and oil for BBQ free of charge. The room was spacious and well-designed, though it would have been perfect if it had been renovated like the room my friend stayed in. The staff were also very kind, ensuring a pleasant stay. A major highlight for me was the complimentary continental breakfast, including toast, cereals, milk, and bottled water, which was incredibly helpful for our family with kids, both economically and practically. This motel is definitely recommended.

We tried our luck with an early check in, but on arrival (we only just rocked up and just thought we try our luck with an early check in) our room was about to get cleaned. I assume the friendly manager or owner changed our room to a different one and we could check in straight away! Great service and a big thank you to the cleaning lady too! You went above and beyond and my mum told me it was nice to have a chat with you. Thank you very much as we had a great stay! We will be back for sure!

- Yes there was one thing I didn't like and that was the ashtray that was at the neighbours door. It stank and I personally think it should not be there at all. - Maybe some smaller pillows as the pillows I found were a bit on the high side, but the beds were super comfy and clean!

We stayed in a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 king singles. It was a very spacious layout, plenty of room to move around for 4 people. There is a 2 seater lounge, great little kitchenette, big sized fridge/freezer, which is helpful when travelling and you have cold items with you. The bathroom is lovely, with lots of room and an impressive size shower area. Foxtel is free and the TV is huge! The room was nice and dark, great for a sleep in if staying longer than 1 night. There is free breakfast included - you help yourself to items from reception (bread, condiments, yoghurt, cereal and little milks). The pool looks lovely, although we didn't get to try it. 10/10 score from us.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay here.

I like the idea that you can go to reception and choose what you want for breakfast the following day and take it back to your room. The room itself was clean and had a kettle, toaster, fridge, crockery and cutlery. It also had an ironing board, iron and hair dryer. If someone asked me what my stay was like, I will tell them that the staff and very friendly and the rooms were very clean. I travelled to Townsville by myself and met my daughter, son-in-law, grandson and son-in-law's mother there.

I really can't think of anything that I didn't like about my stay.

Complimentary free breakfast was good. Room was larger than expected recently updated and the bed was very comfortable. All facilities were very good.

All small things which would do not detract form its performance. Fridge door opened the wrong way. Information about the complimentary breakfast was not readily available. Even though the room had been recently updated the bathroom door was showing water damage which detracted from the effort that had gone in to make this room great.

The room we were given was comfortable and clean and having the continental breakfast included in the cost was a bonus. Very few places that we looked at in Townsville, that were within our budget, included breakfast. We liked how we could pick up our own breakfast the afternoon before and then make it when we were ready the next morning. I have orange juice every morning for breakfast so I was disappointed that that wasn’t available. Although, I will just bring my own next time. Having a variety of cereals and spreads e.g jam available was excellent. The area around the pool was also clean and tidy and a nice place to sit.

The only thing that I could fault was that at one point, when my husband and I were sitting outside at the table having afternoon tea, there were people around us smoking. Should definitely be a non-smoking area as we are non-smokers and were not happy breathing in secondary cigarette smoke.

The room looked like it had just been recently renovated. Money well spent if that's the case. Very classy. Will definitely recommend it to anyone to is looking for accommodation in Townsville

Price was a bit high, but due to the supercars being in town, everywhere was way overpriced. Not 100% convinced that the room we got was what I initially requested, but that would fall back on booking.com if there was a change, not the motel.

Our ground floor room was recently renovated, fresh, modern and clean, plenty of room. The continental breakfast which was included in the price of the room was great, Monte Carlo provides real milk in addition to long life, a good selection of spreads and yoghurt, varying types of bread, cereal, tea, coffee and sugar. The service was friendly and professional. Value for money can’t be beaten. We have stayed in both run down, ill equipped, and higher end hotels with less amenities all at a higher price tag. Monte Carlo comes out on top in all categories. The higher end places might have nicer soft furnishings but that’s about it. We come to Townsville quite regularly and think Monte Carlo will be our new home away from home.

Nothing we didn’t like, only small suggestion would be bedside tables, however this was easily navigated with the large bench across from the end of the bed for phone charging etc. If I had to be nit picky, updated blankets for the beds but if you’re only looking to keep warm it’s a non issue.

Lovely old building with tons of character on the outside inside wonderful modern rooms/units. Access cabin was large and well laid out.

Cleanliness was a little on the low side. Tile Floors had dirty smudges, toilet was not fully cleaned under seat, draws full of crumbs from toaster, conditioner was empty and fridge and freezer were both uncleaned from previous guests. Car parking for access rooms not at all easy to park or load/unload disabled guests.
