This intimate gorgeous cottage is in a great location just up from town with stunning views over the valley and to the mountains. Dieu Donne winery is right next door for wine tasting or catch the wine tram pink line and finish up there for an easy walk home after visiting a few others. Was a little too chilly for a swim in the pool but it would be wonderful in Summer. The included breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t speak more highly of Ryan who went above and beyond when friend’s forgot their passports in the safe!

The view is stunning, beautiful! The apartment really nice and well equipped.

The smell of fireplace when you entered the apartment. Looks like people before just had fire and the smell was horrible. The smell was almost gone the next day when I complained about it. Then if you stay in the cottage, you have to walk up 10 minutes with kids on the same road people are driving to go to the breakfast and swimmingpool, there are not a lot of cars driving that road, but still, they should do something about that. We prefered to have breakfast in town instead. Uber works in Franschhoek, but not at the cottage, so you first have to walk up the hill or drive the car to the parking lot and then call Uber. Especially if you are taking the winetram, you don’t want to drive your car later on… So yes, beautiful place, convenient mwah…

The hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Franschhoek. It was a very small boutique B&B. We pre-requested the Bleu room which they managed to fulfil and the room was perfect. Lovely and spacious, a huge comfy bed, separate sitting area, and large bathroom with walk-in shower and free standing bath. The room also had a little balcony (although not private) which went straight to the pool area. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill overlooking the Franschhoek Valley so the views from the pool area were stunning, especially the sunset where we bought a bottle of their Dieu Donne wine to enjoy. The breakfast was great, a mix of cereals, fruit and pastries to help yourself to along with a menu to order something fresh and hot. The quality of the food was really good. We also wanted to say thank you to the staff who really made out visit. One who prepared us some fresh passion fruits picked from the grounds and also sorted our complimentary laundry. Overall, we couldn't fault the hotel. Thank you, we hope to visit again! :)

For us it was the perfect place to be. At the Dieu Donné Winery, we stayed in one of the (5) double bed rooms they have. Spacious room. Bathroom with shower, bathtub and small terrace. Fridge. Coffee machine. Air con. Comfy bed. Our room was at ground level, hence had a second door to the side (‚easy access‘ to the pool). Amazing views. Very yummy breakfast ( very delicious croissants).

Remarks: the restaurant was closed, only platters available (during hours of wine tasting). You either need a car or be prepared/ willing to book a ‚taxi‘. The distance to the town centre is approx 2 km but with ~160m change in elevation.

Wow the view is just spectacular! The vineyard on villa 3 is right under your balcony. Very spacious and clean living room with kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The valley of Franschoek looks stunning once the sunset comes. The team is just amazing. They helped with fire, ordering food straight to appartement and made us feel relaxed throughout the stay.

You will feel cold during winter and early spring as the conditioners can work together. So if you occupy 2 rooms only one room can be warmed up. Bathroom is very cold. Even when we had fire set up for 4 hours the appartment was not fully warmed. Early morning was freezingly cold. Another thing to be aware of is the Uber taxi. Taxi did not come to the apartment as the location was not showing correctly to the driver. Make sure to set right location or ask team members to call it for you in advance.

A beautiful and very small boutique hotel. There are 2 houses that belong to Maison Montagne, and the house we stayed at had only 5 rooms. It was very quiet and private and you can walk up to Dieu Donne vineyard for a wine tasting and beautiful views. We will definitely come back.

We had the room Vert which was located on the lower level and has windows/ terrace to the back, where there is a wall and no view. The room was beautiful but I recommend to choose / request a room that has a view overlooking the vineyard and the pool area.

The house was lovely - large and clean, with great views over the valley and mountains around Franschhoek. Parking is next to the house. The location is very quiet. The house is around 1km outside of the centre of Franschhoek. During the day it is possible to walk into Franschhoek. In the evenings Uber taxis are readily available. There are USB sockets in the bedrooms for charge mobile phones.

The check in process was quick and efficient but the receptionist did not give us any information about the facilities available at the vineyard.

Distance from the village. We were offered a courtesy car to drop us in the village then asked for 160R payment on return which was 4x the cost of the Uber back. You are on a wine farm but cannot buy a glass of wine only a bottle. Breakfast was included but we were somewhat confused when presented with a price list when sat down to eat.

The staff were lovely and friendly, the setting is beautiful and tranquil and the shower was the best we've ever had in our lives! The bedroom and bathroom were both huge and decorated very nicely. Bed was super comfy. Lovely views over the vines from the pool (not heated but perfect for hot days). It was our anniversary when we were there and the staff left us a bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals on the bed which was very sweet.

Breakfast was good but not amazing, some elements like the croissants were delicious and other elements like the hollandaise sauce could be improved.

Such a beautiful property inside and out. Sadly we spent most of our stay in the pouring rain so weren't able to appreciate the amazing view until just before we were leaving and the clouds disappeared! The rooms were out of this world - spacious, tastefully decorated with lovely linen, a fridge, coffee machine and in our case, incredible views with a small balcony. As for the bathrooms - wow! Huge! We had a shower and a bath (with welcome small touches of a candle and bath salts), a heated towel rail and his and her basins. We could not fault the accommodation at all - it was perfect! The breakfasts were extremely tasty and cooked to order and the small cold buffet with croissants, fruit and cheese was a good accompaniment. We loved this guest house and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We found the staff to be a little bit aloof and at times, really hard to locate. They were friendly and helped with our requests however (and even did our laundry without being asked - amazing!).
