Its was very clean and the breakfast was outstanding not charging extra for real coffees was a nice change. Definitely recommend the club rooms as making the most of the extras is worth it. The gym had enough to burn off the night before’s drinks. The biggest thing for me was every staff member was so polite and welcoming and the rooms were cleaned in a timely fashion. We didn’t drive or ride a motorcycle down so I can’t speak about the parking but next time we will probably find out as we will most definitely stay there again. The location just makes everything so easy and having stayed at many of the other hotels in Queenstown over the years this has become our favourite.

The breakfast was a bit of a farce. The hot buffet rarely had full trays in all six of the cooked options. The orange bottle was often empty, as were the other fruit and milk dispensers. The fruit and yoghurt station was often part empty. Ditto the cheese and cold meat station. Each morning I elected to prompt the staff that the bacon tray was empty and or the orange juice bottle was empty etc, I even had to point out that the tomato sauce / ketchup bowl was empty. I thought this was really poor for a “luxury brand” hotel.

We were slightly apprehensive booking the Sofitel as some of the previous ratings were not great. I honestly can say we had an exceptional experience. The staff were fantastic - very friendly and professional. The room was comfortable, quiet and had great views. The location cannot be beaten, it’s right in the middle of town. Great gym, fantastic spa, good breakfast. The inclusion of the minibar in the room package was a thoughtful touch. I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels in Queenstown and the Sofitel has been the best yet. We will definitely book again for our next trip.

Service was exceptional. Location was great. Breakfast was beautiful. Heated floors in bathroom and the robes made it feel even more luxurious.

Our room opened out onto a walkway so you couldn’t have curtains open if you were in the room. Meant to check if it was visible inside from the walkway but forgot. With curtains closed the room was always dark.

Loved the proximity and large room and bathroom. Restaurant Jevois in the hotel was outstanding.

Faced the back view but thats what we paid for. Because its a low rise building, there are no spectacular views of Queenstown but the position is so central, it didn't matter. I would have liked to be offered an opportunity to make a reservation at Jevois, since we were staying in the hotel. Instead we had to beg and ask multiple times until eventually they accommodated us.

The Sofitel brings some style and comfort to Queenstown centre. Just tucked in a quiet street off the main through route and away from the never ending queue outside Ferg Burgers, the Sofitel is peaceful but an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Coupled with the fact that it has good good restaurants and cafe within and an excellent steakhouse on the second floor. The bed was comfortable in a spacious room with an excellent bathroom with shower and bath. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful and the hotel decor gives you an immediate ambiance of style.

Staff were amazing, so attentive and helpful. They really went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. The room was very clean, well-appointed and spacious. Location was central, we walked to all of the sites. Breakfast was great, amazing service and heaps of delicious food options.

TV and spa bath plug were faulty. We paid for a balcony room but were given one with no balcony. The explanation given (after enquiring) was that we had been upgraded due to (lack of) availability.

Superb location, our daughter had previously stayed here & had the same great experience as we did. Found staff in all areas of Hotel great. We did have a problem with the first morning breakfast as in drink order not going through & eggs/bacon on both our orders being left off on the al la carte menu but the following morning staff were very attentive & apologetic regarding the previous morning breakfast that was served.

We had access to the Executive Lounge but we only used it once in our 4 day stay. Didn't like the room, absolutely no atmosphere what so ever. Snacks, Cocktails & beers are nothing to rave about, definitely needs a shake-up. Found bars in the area much better.

Large bedroom & bathroom, bath was fabulous. Breakfast was great. Location perfect.

Our room wasn’t ready at 2pm so we were offered same room on different floor. Not a huge issue. Asked for our car on departure & waited over 30 mins. Seemed to be a communication problem between staff.
