The atmosphere of the hotel is chic and cozy. Decoration is modern, but warm. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of choices; fruits, eggs, yougurt, breads, pastries, etc. Personnel at reception is very sociable and willing to help, always with a smile. Room was good size and bed very comfortable. Lights were a little tricky to learn but reception was very helpful in showing us how to work them. Location is excellent, our “Neighbors” were the royal palace and old Town! Very walkable to point of interests. Excellent choice for a stay in Stockholm!

Only complaint was that our room,on the first floor, was above the hotel laundry, so everyday, at 6:00am we were awake by the laundry carts being loaded to the trucks!

We liked the Lydmar Hotel a lot. It is very comfortable (the bed especially), the staff are lovely and it's small enough that you get to know each other a bit, it's got a decent restaurant, breakfasts are good, and the location is great - looking out over water with ferry stops in view, the Gamla Stan is just over the nearby bridge, some great museums are nearby, and the more modern centre is just a short walk away

At this price it's surprising to get polyester bed sheets. The bedroom is a bit cluttered (does anyone really need 14 cushions?) and wardrobe space is tight (fine for a few days, but any longer and you'll be wondering where to put your clothes).

Just stayed for 2 nights. This hotel is exceptionally exquisite. Beautiful artwork and luxurious. Has homey feel. The service was awesome. I think i found my home i Stockholm after a long search. Well done guys. Everything is to the T. We stayed in the large king room. The views are also great. Its just a walk away from Palace and part of old town. I am so speechless on how perfect everything was. This was a gamble that paid off for me as I like it safe and usually choose common hotel chains but after going several reviews of hotels in Stockholm I took a leap. Beautiful 😍

Lydmar Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel where you can see different interior styles in the rooms and corridors each and every floor. The most sightseeing attractions are walkable distance, and you can reach to Djurgården in 20~30 minutes by taking a bus or tram. We upgraded our room to Medium King Room because we needed a bigger wardrobe. The room was clean & well-designed, and the bathroom was big enough. The bed and pillows were very comfy and warm even though it was below -10 sometimes during our stay. We'd love to give our special thanks to all the staff at the reception and the restaurant for their warm hospitality and kind help. "All of you made our trip much more delightful. Thank you!!"

It would be great if they could set up some more cabinets or wardrobes for longer stay travellers' convenience.

Lydmar Hotel is perfectly located - close top the old town, opposite the palace, at the terminal for many ferries etc. The staff were exceptional - from the wonderful greeting when we arrived around 1.00am, to all of the reception and restaurant staff, to the manager who greeted us on a number of occassions. The atmosphere was informal, relaxed and inviting. Our room was great, with large windows, plenty of room space and a walk-in-robe for our luggage/clothes.

location was excellent, although my bedroom was facing another hotel's bedrooms, so no view and felt a little lack of privacy. Pillows and bed linen were so comfy! Breakfast was very good. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The terrace outside was a perfect spot to enjoy a drink in the sun, with a view.

no sheers on the curtains so either had to block out light completely by closing curtains, or have people in the hotel room opposite be able to look in my room. No view. The room advertised spa and gym facilities, but they were actually shared facilities in the hotel next door which you had to pay for. Very little cupboard space.

The vibe of this hotel was really good. Modern without "trying too hard" and really felt like you were relaxing at your rich cool friends house instead of a hotel! The staff were excellent, everything was cosy and the room was large and fairly quiet. Really couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend to family or friends travelling to Stockholm in the future.

Nothing springs to mind. If you want a pool or spa there isn't one here but you are able to use a neighboring hotel's facilities, for us this wasn't a problem at all.

Breakfast was good but not outstanding by relevant comparisons. Ambience was quirky, comfortable and enjoyable. Room was comfortable and excellent. Staff were uniformly first class.

I wonder whether hotels such as the Lydmar ever get a totally objective 'mystery guest' to book in and then tell them what extra is needed. Everything was excellent and we greatly enjoyed our stay BUT, for example, power outlets and light switches should be where the resident(s) need to use them. Our room was beautiful appointed but lacked sufficient storage space. One rather strange experience was that the hotel did not supply tea-making facilities in rooms - something extraordinary to an Englishman and most unusual in my experience. The staff rapidly assembled a tea-making kit (well done them) but some form of fruity tee leaves does not compare with a straight-forward English breakfast tea bag for that early morning cuppa.

This is a luxury hotel. Everything about the place is luxury. The desk staff was warm and welcoming. The bartender actually could make a Manhattan... something that no one else in the Baltics could do. Breakfast was typical European buffet-- cold cuts, fruit with the addition of eggs and a couple of meats. Bread was delicious. The location was perfect!!! I loved the old elevator-- didn't understand why people used the modern one with this "old cage" with a circular staircase surrounding it. Great great hotel!! Location was great!!!

There isn't anything I didn't like.... maybe if it was free????

My girlfriend and I had our stay from March 7th to 10th. We were totally thrilled. The hotel is beautiful and very well located. The entire hotel and the rooms are lovingly and beautifully furnished. Every floor and every room looks different. The equipment is of a very high standard and the whole hotel and the rooms are very clean. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the employees and the quality of service. The service is very attentive but not intrusive. We had the very tasty breakfast every day. The restaurant for dinner is also recommended. The quality of the food is excellent. During our stay at the hotel I proposed to my girlfriend. For this purpose, I had organized a violinist to play a piece of music in our hotel room. The organization together with the hotel was excellent. Special requests are very welcome and implemented wonderfully. We would like to thank the entire Lydmar Hotel team for our wonderful stay with you. We will definitely come back
