Nice size clean bathroom very good shower. Small single room but comfortable, very clean. Great location for Puerta de sol Plaza Mayor, Plaza Santa Anna, very near the Metro two minutes away. Handy for all the bars, cafes shops etc very enjoyable stay.

Could be a problem for some third floor location and no lift.

Location was great, host friendly. Super value for money. Sink and tap for brushing teeth in the room itself so you didn't need to leave your room for minor wash up. Clean room. Closet racks etc and writing table was convenient. Small tv in room which was hard locked to low volume prevents disturbing others (just loud enough for most channels). Mini supermarket was just right across the street which was really convenient if you need something that you did not pack for.

You have to climb up 3.5 storeys to get there with no lift. Sound proofing was poor. Only 1 toilet shared between everyone, although actually i had no problem getting access but can imagine potential issues if it was busier (the were actually more, but reserved for host use it seemed). No fan inside the room, so if you wanted ventilation you would have to open the window - wasn't a problem in October but i imagine in winter or summer it might get stuffy.

Exceeded my expectations. Location is simply fantastic, 1 minute away from Plaza Mayor. I enjoyed the hostal and its facilities, everything is perfectly clean. Small room but cozy and has everything you need. Ancient building and its interiors style are a plus.

I checked in very late and understandably there was little room for conversation with the host, but it took me quite long time to understand how the keys would work to open the main entrance door (old manufacture).

Excellent location and a staff that is both friendly and helpful

The WiFi didn't work. Even after they tried hard to fix it, it stopped working again.

The property is very old which gives it great character. The staircase is superb and brings you back to the Spain of old. The staff are homely and friendly and the door lock is wonderful (you'll see when you get there!) The property is in the old town and slap bang in the center of things - lots of cafes, bars squares and people prominading. The atmosphere in this part of town is wonderful and you really get the buzz.

Location could not be better, price was very good, facilities were reflective of price. If location is the most important, this is the place. If you prefer comfort and a private bathroom this is not for you
