Our room on the 2nd Floor gave us a splendid view southwards over the River Duoro. The room itself, like the whole hotel, was a bit dated in its design, but perfectly comfortable, beds especially. The spread for breakfast was good and the one meal that we had in the restaurant was delicious and nicely presented. Regua is not a large town and this hotel is to the eastern end, near the bridges, but it is well situated to access the Railway Station (250 m), bus station (250m - but no timetables), car hire at Drivalia (450 m), river boat quays (500m) and the trendy tapas/wine bars and restaurants beyond the station (300m). Also not to be missed is Casa Mirim (Coffee and a Pastel de Nata for 2 euros), along the front!! Go on, have another!!

This hotel has a most lovely view if you have a river view room. The location is near to the train station, taxi rank and bus stop. The breakfast has a good choice and you can also get an evening meal here. The pool area is lovely and clean and there is a bar nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a snack bar attached to hotel which serves lovely food. We have used this hotel before and we will hopefully be back.

There were some new younger staff which were unsure what they were doing. One was manning the bar who seemed to dissappear when you were waiting to be served at the bar. Another young one at the downstairs bar near pool did not seem to know what drinks we were requesting and was not helpful.

This was one of the nicest places we stayed during our trip to Portugal. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a river view room which provided a spectacular view of the Duro. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony The staff was very friendly and helpful Patricia and Rafela made great suggestions for touring Quintas and even made reservations for us at these places. Paulo gave great recommendations for dinner and was very helpful Parking was on the property and free. The breakfast had many choices and tables provided a view of the river We would definitely stay here again

The staff were extremely helpful, and on site parking was available.Thank you to the reception staff on our arrival. Our room was situated at the front of the hotel, very close to the main road, so we could here traffic noise. The hotel is situated on the Douro River, with wonderful views from the rear of the hotel.We could imagine rooms on this side, would be much nicer, but at a premium.

Seven of us choice to have dinner in the hotel restaurant.The menu, and wine selection was varied and the quality when it arrived was good.... Our issue was we waited 1hr, 20mins before the food was served, even though only a few other people were dinning. The staff were appologetic,but it did dampen our evening.

Excelent location (as advertised!), near the river dock and the train station, with a fantastic view over the river itself. The breakfast had great variety and quality.

The hotel is a bit old fashioned and could use some renovations. For god's sake, remove the carpet from the rooms!

Staff service always with smiles, always helpful either to take care of issues in room or our help needed. Although the hotel is a bit aged, things are mostly operating quite well, and minor issues like leaking faucets, door hinges, etc. can occur. But they have been promptly resolved.

The hotel has not been able to provide general items like blankets. They have duvets but not a light comforter or blankets, which we need for a bit of comforting warmth for a comfortable sleep in a summer with air conditioning running.

We got the river view. Give up the King room, whatever, for the river view. Very quiet and the balcony view oh my. A little swim after long boat ride in pool. Great breakfast.

On the first day checking in, our lady was a little short with us. Happens! 2nd morning, she found our room available for one more night. Guess what, we stayed! We had lukewarm hot water first night. Next morning it was much better. The hotel is showing some age. Time for upgrade. Bedding was good, though

Loved the mid century vibe, the beautiful view of the Douro, the easy parking, and the great breakfast served in a lovely room. My husband said the shower was the best he’d had in any hotel, ever.

Beds were a tiny bit hard for my taste.

Excellent location with close access to the Duoro Valley. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and good restaurant for an evening meal. We had a river room with a nice balcony view of the Duoro River.
