We had such a lovely time at Cove Bay. The room, the view, the location, the staff, the breakfast. Everything was perfect and we will definitely remember our stay here for a long time.

The location was great for our travels. The check in was easy and the staff very friendly. Liked the USB ports in the room. Bathroom was spacious and terrific large towels.
Issue for us was the room was incredibly hot. We were on the front of the building on the second floor and the sun was on our side in the evening and the day had been hot. We could not raise the window because the pub door was below our window and people were standing outside to smoke and it was coming through the window! Made for an unpleasant night for sleep. Possibly providing a fan on unseasonably warm days, would make all the difference in the world.

Quite a little gem, hidden away overlooking the sea. We had a room with a beautiful sea view. It was incredibly comfortable, really nicely decorated and paid out. Spotlessly clean and housekeeping did a great job of replenishing tea, coffee, biscuits each day. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast, with lots of choice, with a sea view and the restaurant serves great food in the evenings with a large choice of freshly cooked dishes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There have been comments about noisy evenings in the hotel disturbing guests, but you have to accept that this small hotel is the hub of the community at Cove and it is obviously loved by the locals who use it for family gatherings, etc. Once you appreciate the role the hotel plays in the local area, then a bit of a party is a much more acceptable thing. We had three great night's sleep, comfy beds, great facilities. We will definitely return. Very easy to catch a bus into Aberdeen city centre too. Thanks for a great stay.
Some public areas, stair ways, etc were a little tired, a lot of corridors, but it is an old building.

Busy little hotel in a great location, 15 min drive away from the city. Our sea view room was a good size with a recliner sofa next to the window, breakfast was a nice bonus. We had food in the restaurant one night which was also really good and well worth it. If the weather is nice I recommend taking the short walk down the road to the harbour, we did one night during sunset, some nice views. If we ever come back to Cove Bay we'll know where to go.

The location of the hotel, and the Sea Views. The fact that it isn't to far from our relations home. And it's nice to have very friendly staff who bend over backwards to help you. The ample free parking behind the hotel, can't fault any of our stay which is why we are hoping to return later this year in October. You'd be hard pushed to find a better place to stay, Great Hotel, Good Parking Facilities, Great Breakfast and Evening meals Great Staff and Management, and Competitive Pricing. Keep doing what you do best, by keeping your high standards and practices, well done to all the staff and we wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2025
Pillows could be firmer, other than that it was a very pleasant stay. And we will be back.

Couldn't fault breakfast it was excellent, and waitresses were attentive and efficient through out. Like all the staff really.
When we arrived at the hotel and after checking in, having specified a time during booking online, we found the room very cold as the radiators were all cold, someone should have checked that the room was warm for guests arriving, The only other thing that let us down was the noise from the adjacent room when the shower was being used. Didn't think much of window that looks right into the restaurant and viewed from that side also it means having the curtain closed much of the time for privacy, would prefer another room location in the hotel.

Considering it is a 3-star hotel, it met all of our expectations. It is located in a charming historic building. The staff was very nice and helpful and the place felt clean. The room and bathroom were nicely updated. One needs to keep in mind that this is a traditional Scottish inn which means there is a bar and restaurant on the ground level and the reception is in the bar. It was not an issue for us but it I think it is good to have the understanding.
There were small things that could have been thought of. The TV was installed on the wall not in front of the bed but way to the side and did not have an arm that would allow for tilting it in the direction of the bed. We could not open the window all the way because of the oversized valance blocking it - a 4-inch one would have been just fine. We paid for the room with the view but it was a view of the parking lot with some see in the background. The restaurant served yummy food but the restaurant lacked the atmosphere ( a simple dimmer could improve the ambiance).

The room was very nice. It was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge. We stopped for a drink in the pub and the staff and locals were very friendly. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the view!
The only downside was that unless you were completely under the duvet, the room was freezing. We did stay during storm Amy, so I'm not sure if that made a difference. We were very grateful for the blanket on the top of the bed.

The food was outstanding 😄
The staff were very busy , we had a substantial wait for dinner . One member of staff was lovely and empathetic and the other was snappy and said they were busy basically what did I expect 'the steak takes time to cook'. The food was delicious Was also surprised to be be brought back from my room to settle the dinner bill. I was staying overnight and had paid for breakfast. The hotel also had my car reg and email. IIf they had asked for my credit card when taking my order or explained that the meal had to be paid on completing it would have been fine.. Communication is key.

Room was generally comfortable with an excellent view, although the desk was a little too small for comfortable working in the evening. The restaurant is award-winning and the two evening meals and breakfast's I enjoyed were superb.
The desk in the room was a little too small to work comfortably, i.e. it was difficult getting legs under the desk due to a small gap and Large chair and the limited depth of the desk made it difficult to work with laptop and documents. Additionally, I had problems with the WiFi, I kept getting messages about it being unsecured and had problems with speed.
