I loved the location in the heart of historic Guildford. The room was large and tastefully furnished, and the bathroom was pretty good, too (considering the limitations imposed by heritage requirements). The balcony afforded a taste of what lay beyond. The staff were unobtrusive but extremely helpful. The meals were typical pub fare, done well. Plentiful other options for breakfast, lunch and dinner were only a short stroll away, too.

I forgot to pack earplugs (rookie mistake when staying in a pub over the weekend) but I fixed that on the second night.

Excellent location in Guildford. Loved stepping out and walking down the main street to enjoy the cafes. Really enjoyed the pub itself. Great space inside and outside to eat, drink and relax. Bed was super comfy and no partner disturbance - kudos to the establishment for providing a memory foam bed. Parking was free and easy to find - either park in the side street just outside the apartments or around the back. Bathroom was awesome. Nice and modern and huge. 5 mins to get into Midland - brilliant.

Just needed a small table and 2 chairs to sit at. It gets a bit old sitting on the bed all the time.

It was absolutely beautiful. The room was generously sized, the bathroom was HUGE. We could have fit a whole extra bed in the bathroom lol. The curtains were lovely and blocked out the light well. The beds were SUPER COMFY. The restaurant and beer garden area are beautiful. It was just a really lovely stay. I will definitely stay there again.

We found someone else's knickers tucked under the curtains when we were packing away. But we just threw them in the bin lol.

The room was great, very neat and clean. The food was first class. Service was outstanding and staff were very nice. The night's entertainment was a live band "Fleetwood Mac "tribute band and my partner and I loved it. I would and will be recommending this accommodation to my family and friends and could not be happier I chose to stay at the Stirling Arms Hotel. I will definitely be booking a room there again.

We can not fault this organised and terrific accommodation. Two thumbs up

Beautiful old place with good energy and an old soul , the service was great and the Accomadation was nice the food was great and the discounts you receive at the bar were decent thanks .

The train line and the train tooting every time it passed something I’m not used too but this has no reflection on the establishment nor the owners it’s just one of those things if you think it’s going to be an issue grab some soft ear plugs as it’s a great place especially on a Friday the bar was cranking that was another thing but I like hearing happy crew enjoying themselves it has a great vibe again if noise is a reason for one too hate troll or diss an establishment maybe stay somewhere else but so close to the airport etc and on the edge of the big smoke it doesn’t get any better in my humble opinion .

Poor lighting at entrance to accommodation, doors in bedroom opening onto balcony not secure very loose. The rest was very good room clean bed comfortable fridge and microwave so handy rail station close by cost for ticket into town very reasonable. Was comfortable during my stay room was quiet staff excellent willing took my heavy up and down stairs. I really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel restaurant opens 7 days for meals 5 Star excellent variety, good value, well presented food. Steak cooked to perfection.

Poor ATD, such as replenishing toilet paper, tea and coffee. Bed wasn't made every day. No hanging space. We were there for 6 days to attend a wedding and had clothes that needed hanging. We asked got nothing got no answer. We bought something at Bunnings to enable us to look after our clothes.

Breakfast had to be purchased elsewhere lots of options close by, located centrally to my requirements, staff very friendly and helpful,down side traffic and train noise, Mabe not such an issue for people used to city noise, nice renovated ensuite room, comfortable bed good ensuite, was a problem with short power outages, overall good value for the price, I would stay again if necessary to be in that area.

The hotel was great, very comfortable beta and the facilities were great. The apartment was the perfect size to get ready in for my wedding. I had a small hord of people, and a possey of beauticians. It was much larger and roomier than we expected.

The only negative was the soundproofing. It did get a little loud hearing everyone upstairs; however, it's to be expected in a beautiful historic building.

Nice pub-style accommodation with ensuite, that has a great restaurant with fantastic food. We stayed on Mothers Day so the place was very busy and a little noisy, but not until very late. Staff were friendly. Price-point was good.
