A quintessential Northumberland farmhouse home B N B, in stunning countryside. The room was huge, yet comfortable with classical furniture and a beautiful period feel, with all the modern touches. Breakfast was the best I have experienced anywhere. It actually surpassed what we were offered when staying in London at Horse Guards, in terms of the variety on the cooked breakfast menu and on the self serve buffet, and in terms of how delicious and beautifully prepared it was. The breakfast / dining room is like a home set in an Agatha Christie book. The host and overall welcome is warm and friendly.

The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. The shower was very efficient. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice. We arrived early, due to the weather and were able to access the room earlier than advertised.

There were cobwebs on the light fittings. There was mould behind the shutters for the main window, this was only found on the morning of departure. These things should have been dealt with before the room was let.

Wonderful spacious room with large comfortable beds and a garden view. Bathroom large and well stocked with shampoo etc. Friendly and helpful owner who supplied a fabulous breakfast with so much choice. The two evening meals we had were hot, tasty, promptly served and plenty on the plate. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely house and gardens in a well situated quiet and beautiful part of the country. We would recommend Rockmoor House to friends and family and we hope to return there again.

Very little not to like. Only one very small grouse. Our room was above or close to the food preparation area and so could be a little noisy in the morning while breakfast was being prepared but as we were awake by that time anyway so it was never a serious problem

We stayed here as we were at a wedding at Charlton Hall, only a 5 minute drive down the road and a lovely place! The room was lovely, clean and well presented. Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. Would really recommend staying here when in the area!

What a beautiful quaint B&B! The rooms were just amazing. When I stayed we had 3 rooms booked to attend a wedding near by. The breakfast was so enjoyable with everything you could imagine to eat. The rooms were spotless.

Beautiful house and very nicely furnished It's in a secluded location so nice and quiet. Lovely breakfast and a comfortable bed.

Nothing really to dislike really. There was a lovely bath in our ensuite room but be warned, the design with central taps means you need to be cautious with the very hot water.

Loved this place, lovely traditional property in quiet location but close to A1. Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Good selection of breakfast and eggs cooked to perfection. We will definitely stay here again.

Everything, the owner was really accommodating, the b%b was spotlessly clean, grounds were stunning and was only less than 2 mile from doxford barns wedding venue. Breakfast all homemade , beautiful

Beautiful grounds, everything was clean, facilities were plentiful, incredibly peaceful and the breakfast was superb!

There was nothing for us to dislike about this accomodation, the facilities or the staff, all was excellent

Excellent breakfast with prize-winning black pudding ! Our room was quite luxurious, and the location was in the middle of nature, thus quiet and far from any traffic.
