Arrived during a heatwave: there was a fan in the room which really helped. Room really clean and comfortable. Excellent fast shower ( apologies as some water escaped the bath). Breakfast; good assortment of cereals yoghurt etc and cooked items but we were surprised that things like mushroom and tomato were supplied as singles. My husband had tomatoes on toast and 2 slices of toast were served, but only 1 piece of tomato. Good location, nice walk to Church Island and the Straight

perhaps ask at breakfast how much of things are wanted; I was served a huge mound of scrambled egg; too much! But just 1 mushroom.

Lovely room with excellent facilities. Large comfy bed with quality pillows. Huge bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Excellent location with free parking. Perfect base to explore Anglesey.

Breakfast was ... ok. I prefer granary or at least thick toast, rather than budget supermarket thin-sliced bread. Service was slow and staff seemed slightly rushed and stressed. Lack of fresh glasses, every morning at least one of the juice carafes was empty, plus water empty, fruit almost gone etc. Having said that, the 'Sunday roast to share' was magnificent! :-)

The hotel is an older property and is well maintained. It is on a road, right by the Menai Bridge, which makes it super easy to find. We stayed here on the friday as we were doing the zip wire on the saturday. Upon arrival after a horrific journey up from Devon, we were greeted by friendly staff. The host/ manager(?) Was informative and efficient so we could get to our room ASAP. Once refreshed we came down to the bar, well stocked and clean. (Bonus points for Lees own lagers being delicious, by the way!) And a young lady, long auburn hair served us beuatifully three times before we made our way to the restaurant. The barrel ran out on our third drink and the young man brought our drink to us once all sorted, simple and a nice touch. In the restaurant we were served by David, who was attentive, well mannered and clearly enjoys his job and the people he serves, taking great pride in his work. The food. Oh my, the food. Deliciousness. Pure deliciousness. We had pie and chips with the side of veg, the pork belly and noodles and a side of the duck bon bons. It was all amazing, pure 10/10, clean plates all round. Well presented and we ate every morsel. Big thank you to the kitchen staff for that meal, it has set the bar for an excellent meal. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order, we had the full breakfast, again delicious, not a drop left, and the eggs benedict on hash browns instead of muffin, a menu item adapted at no stress and no surcharge and again, utterly delicious. The young lady who seated us and served us was very good too, very polite and very good at her job. Overall, its been a very worthwhile trip. The staff, without exception have been wonderful, the food has been glorious and if and when we come back this way again, we would without hesitation stay here again. Incredible value for money.

We had a lovely stay. Inside the pub is so welcoming and the decor is lovely. We especially liked eating in the restaurant area looking out over the gardens. The room was modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more, like the little nice touches of biscuits and toiletries. Plenty of hot Water in the bathroom and shower was nice and powerful. Staff were so wonderful, paying attention to our daughter, and were very polite throughout. The food in the restaurant was top quality and delicious. Breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh fruit and yogurts. Parking on site not an issue, we used the lower car park for a bit more room. There is an EV charger too with two charging points, and a handy Waitrose next door.

The initial look of the hotel put us off slightly - however once inside all worries vanished. Also, there was some night time noise (to be expected when staying at a pub!) we were on the top floor but our bathroom and bedroom window were above where the pub goers would smoke outside. Not too much of a problem but may be loud in the summer. All noise stopped at a reasonable hour.

Large spacious and clean room. Despite pub and restaurant on floor below little or no noise. Staff very friendly and helpful; even when they got things wrong.

Very prescribed (possibly too rich) menues that staff struggled with some aspects. Opting out of items in the breakfast were sometimes ignored while unwanted options still included. Staff unfamiliar with wine - ordered a specific white wine and a red was brought (perhaps a number labelling system would make it easier). Prior warning about the parking requirements would have been helpful.

For history buffs it was an ideal location, just a few yards walk from Telford’s famous bridge. Staff, without exception, were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was excellent. Sadly the Thomas Telford Centre across the road was closed on the day we were there.

As cyclists, the provision for the overnight storage of bikes was a little ad hoc - in with the bins in a rather crowded back yard but, it was locked up and the bikes were still there in the morning! For the price, our room was rather small.

Lovely room, huge bed, table and chairs in window area, which was great as we arrived late evening after the kitchen had closed so we had a takeaway, it was great to be able to sit and eat it comfortably. In fairness, a staff member rang us to advise us what time the kitchen closed to enable us to source food. Must be the fifth or sixth time we’ve stayed there, always lovely. Great breakfast as well. Location is ideal, right on the coastal path and cracking views across the Menai straits.

Nothing to not like, been here a number of times as everything is spot on. Stayed in a few hotels in the region and this one is the nicest.

We’ve stayed here at least a dozen times and always enjoy our stay. Extremely clean rooms which have all been recently updated. Staff are very welcoming and helpful and food is good value with a varied menu.

We stayed one night this visit but had difficulty getting to sleep as another room of visitors were playing loud music in their room. After speaking with manager he immediately approached the room and the noise stopped so great help.

Very good food and friendly, helpful management and staff. Dave Williams and Sean Mollyneux were especially good with my wife’s complex food allergies.

We were there during the recent heatwave, so our room was very warm at night, needing the fan on, which disturbed our sleep somewhat. The beds were very comfortable, and without the heat, we would have slept well.

Good location, rooms clean and helpful staff. Tea and coffee/biscuits supplied in rooms and nice toiletries for stay. Fan was particularly needed given the heatwave in UK!

Room 107 had too many chairs. (3 in total) making the room too difficult to move in. All pillows were quite dense .. and unsuitable for front or side sleepers. Would be nice for the extra one supplied to be lighter.
