I was staying here as my husband was in the Freeman hospital so a ten minute walk took me to the bus stop which took me right outside the hospital in around 7 mins. The property was very clean and comfortable. A nice big bed which was comfortable and housekeeping came everyday to see if anything was needed. I love that it had a shower and a bath as a bath a night to relax after sitting in hospital all day and a shower in the morning for quickness is perfect. There was a Nisa shop literally a 2 minute walk which had all essentials to keep me going.

My only issue was the space you had to make any kind of food. There is a small hob, kettle and microwave with a mini fridge. It’s all in cases in what looks like an old sideboard which has been adapted and although it looks cute it’s defo not practice. The sink is tiny and you have to literally bend under the unit to get anything done. I had to live off sandwiches and micro meals as there just want comfortable space to cook anything other than that. I stayed for 8 days which was absolutely fine if you like to eat out.

We booked an apartment with a kitchen, i.e. equipped with a cooker allowing for self-catering, and here was an unpleasant surprise - only a microwave. The reception's reaction was immediate, the next day we changed the place (James - thank you). After a whole day of sightseeing we returned to another apartment - large, two-room, comfortable and with a two-burner induction hob. The reception made our lives much easier by moving our heavy luggage to the new apartment. Welcome coffee, tea, chocolate, cookies make every guest happy. It's a 15-minute walk from the aparthotel to the city centre. You can use the metro, there are three stations close to each other, but it doesn't count. The metro, on the other hand, is useful for trips around the area, a full-day ticket, Day Saver is Ł 5.90. The Aparthotel has seen its recent glory and urgently requires a facelift in the form of washing the upholstery and rugs and investing in better Wi-Fi.

Stay here everytime I'm visiting Newcastle it's good value for money, restaurants not badly priced and only a quick taxi ride into Newcastle.

There was so many stairs and with arthritis i did struggle however I forgot to mention this on my booking so I just got on with it, we had the attic room and the huge downside was that i wasn't tall enough to open the windows/ close the blinds. I stood on the bed to reach one of them but couldn't reach the other so got a lovely wake up call from the sun beaming through the window. It was also extremely warm and with only one window I was able to open this didn't help.

the room was clean and the space was really nice. the location is also perfect, very close to the city center, and located in a beautiful neighborhood.

the WiFi was not always working, and given that I was also working from the hotel that was not ideal. Additionally, we initially booked a studio apartment, as we hoped to have access to a kitchen. However, the kitchen only had a microwave and a drink refrigerator (instead of a real fridge). The staff were very kind to reassign us to a different apartment which had all the necessary appliances in the kitchen.

Location, style and amenities. It was great having a big, airy space with all we needed to be comfy. Weather went from hot and sunny back to normal cool spring and the comfort was consistent . We could also park our hire car in the hotel car park which was super useful and on this occasion it was included in our rate

Our room was at the top of the house which was made clear. Managed fine albeit with one of us a bit lame at the moment. But a fire alarm on the last morning meant a brisk trot down! Better marshaling of the evacuation would have helped: we’ve given feedback to the hotel which helpfully provides liaison to guests in these houses

Booked two nights in a studio which was compact but clean and reasonably comfortable, with a lovely bed and great shower. However, after the first night, there was an unexpected problem with the electrics in the studio and we were very promptly and efficiently moved to a larger one bedroomed apartment in the same staircase for our second night - absolutely stunning, spotlessly clean and really well equipped with temperature control/air conditioning. Warm welcome at reception in the adjacent hotel - staff were extremely helpful. Good location for visiting the university area and Jesmond.

Kitchenette in the studio could have been improved - dishwasher taking up loads of the available space when there was only enough room and equipment to make a sandwich/hot drink so a dishwasher wasn't needed. There was no toaster, and removing the dishwasher and replacing with an extra cupboard for a toaster and more crockery would have improved it.

The apartment was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable. The mini kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to make food(we didn't use it) worried that being at the top of the property it would be too warm but it was OK. Had everything you needed for a nice stay and free parking was a great touch.

The carpet and the couch had stains on so they could do with a deep clean. No welcome pack with WiFi code and didn't get any info on checking in. We could have gone back to the reception to ask but that could have been prevented with the above suggestions.

I love the fact that my apartment was on the ground floor with a door leading out to a patio area that accommodated my adorable Patterdale terrier, Sadie. The accommodation was very clean. It had everything from a fridge to a microwave etc etc and even a kitchen sink... A big thank you to the cleaning domestics. You are the people who keep the hotels open. Kind Regards Tracy Room 892.

The shower setting the smoke alarms off and evacuating people. Apparently this happens occasionally.

Basic but comfortable self-catering accommodation near Jesmond Metro, handy for Ouseburn where we were attending an event. We are repeat guests - this time we were in a second-floor one-bedroom apartment with a fold-out sofa bed in the living room. We had a full complement of pans and cutlery (it tends to vary). We made good use of the microwave/toaster/kettle and appreciated the free parking. Staff at the Holiday Inn were very welcoming and friendly as always.

The air conditioning in the living room didn't seem to be working properly; it was fine in other parts of the apartment.

The place is very easy to find and very near the metro. You can park in the holiday inn free of charge which is joined to the apartment. The accommodation is very modern. The shower is the most powerful I've ever had and was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious and the double bed was comfortable. You could not hear any noise outside of the apartment. There was welcome pack of water, biscuits, tea etc. there is a microwave and hope with small fridge etc. Nice size TVs. Overall definitely recommend staying but if your planning on using the sofa bed it's not comfortable or clean ( well not in 91/4 room anyway ) but apart from that it was all great including the very friendly staff!

The only snag was the sofa bed was filthy , stained and not very comfortable in 91/4 room. Definitely needs to be changed if a long term stay.
