Great location for a weekend in Melbourne. We got it for a good rate for two nights and loved our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant on the 25th floor was cool for a buffet breakfast and we enjoyed the pool / very well appointed gym. Also the room had a casting system to the TV that actually worked, which isn't always a guarantee!

The room, bed was comfy and the staff very helpful.

The bathroom door was broken and I jammed my fingers in it. When i told the staff at reception they were very apologetic and offered us breakfast on the house. The staff were very attentive.

Staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Location is close to Southern Cross so easily accessible to transport and amenities, including the Skybus terminal. Room is comfortable and modern, views of the city were pleasant. Indoor pool was much appreciated by our son. Breakfast was ample and varied, and the view from the top floor is a fantastic way to begin each day. Didn't make use of the gym however it adequate for a workout away from home.

Room was comfortable however not overly spacious - more of a launchpad for adventures and then to recover, rather than a place to settle in and relax for an extended period of time. Ideal for 2-3 nights.

The tv didn’t work fro Netflix or Amazon prime tk connect I tried for about 4 times over the afternoon and evening I called the staff around midnight to help and he restarted the tv I told him that my phone is connected He tried to connect his phone and said that it must be my phone but I repeated that my phone did the same thing when I connected but just won’t cast YouTube would work from my phone and my partners phone just not Netflix Was a bit frustrating that it would work and the evening/ overnight staff whilst trying to help came across like I was a bother and couldn’t be bothered

We chose Hyatt Centric Melbourne for its excellent location, perfect for our family. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always ready to fulfill any requests to make our stay more enjoyable. The only downside was that the rooms were slightly smaller than expected, but that's just a personal preference. The warm swimming pool was a great bonus, and having breakfast on the 25th floor with a stunning view was a highlight. While the breakfast options were limited, the food was delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Room & facilities were clean and nice, water temperature of the pool was perfect. Breakfast on 25th floor so the view was pretty good. Was good value for money and will consider stay again.

Housekeeping gave me two bottles of shampoo and no shower gel, so I have to ask the guest service to deliver me one. Not a very pleasant experience when I was about to take a shower. For the room service, sandwiches and burger taste great, however the fries taste like McDonald’s one which can be improved.

This is a very well-designed hotel. Every time I was in the room thinking that I wished something was there, it would be exactly where I would want it, from power points to a spot to put my case. The staff were lovely. There is also a great breakfast and a well-equipped gym for a hotel - it's spacious but also has natural light.

I wasn't very impressed with the soundproofing - I'm quite a sensitive sleeper, but even so the corridor noise was significant, as was being able to hear neighbouring rooms and the trains.

The Hyatt Centric is the cooler younger sibling of the Hyatt properties. It's fresh and airy with a more minimalistic aesthetic. The rooms have floorboards which give them a nice fresh feel, the bench which functions as a sheet and luggage rack is a great use of space. The bathroom is well-appointed, with a decent sized shower and solid water pressure. The hand-held shower head feature wins over a rain show head everytime for sure. Bathroom products and amenities are from Mr Smith and smell great. The lobby area offers a nice area to sit and chill away from the room and there is also a barista serving up coffees. Located between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane, it's about 200m from Southern Cross Station and the tram line is about 100m from the hotel.

Mobile service pretty poor in the hotel (barely one bar of service) but it does offer wifi. There's no sundries available for purchase in the lobby or vending machines so no late night snacks or drinks available unless bought off-site.

This place is luxe, in a modern groovy way. The amenities, staff, and rooms are impeccable. The way there is plenty of room for suitcases, fabulous water pressure, technologically advanced rooms, comfy robes, and a wonderful pool and gym. We attended the comedy show on the 6th floor on a whim and had the best time. And the location is situated close to the free trams and some great cafes and restaurants within a couple blocks walk. Will strongly recommend and return asap.

We loved the location of the property. The happy hours at the restaurant with magnificent views absolutely made our day. Comfy beds.

We were very disappointed with the breakfast on Sunday. There was a surcharge for Sunday but half the things that I was expecting at a buffet breakfast were missing. No hash browns or mushrooms. The coffee was terrible. Very basic for the price. We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday and the hotel made no effort to make it special. Not even a note saying Happy birthday, but what we did find in the room was a note for perhaps the previous guest (for Ms Emma) which suggests the room wasn’t inspected before we checked in.
