I really appreciate communication with the hotel reception staff. They were very nice and helpful. We have asked for a few things which were solved in a second. Hotel is really good, clean, well designed and the location is amazing. Everything is close.

There are few things - right next to hotel is a huge reconstruction going on which means that it is very loud. Bed was not comfortable. And it was very hot in the room. Heating cannot be regulated and it was on its maximum so we could not sleep at all.

Nice and quiet, especially considering bustling location on a main shopping street . The room was spotlessly clean. Short walk to Deak Ter metro station and airport shuttle bus and (as we discovered a bit late!) the river. Our room overlooked a courtyard and was on the sixth floor which I am guessing is a quieter room than some. Breakfast was busy and had a perfectly decent selection. Nice Italian restaurant next door.

The beds were very hard and the pillows not great (I did sleep like a log though after all the walking!). The shower in this room type was in the corner of a small bathroom with an inwards opening door. The shower itself was fabulous but - be warned!- accessing it if you are even a bit on the large side requires a certain level of contortionist activity! Anyone very overweight simply would not be able to get in. The aircon isn't on all year round. Luckily the window did open a bit but it was due to get very warm just after we left and I imagine the rooms get very hot. The aircon unit when switched on (to see if it worked!)was very noisy.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights, we arrived and were greeted by a very nice person at the reception who explained everything to us very well and also informed us that we had received a free upgrade. The room we got was very spacious, the bathroom was nice and clean but I didn't like the narrow bathtub. There was no Netflix on the TV but there were many other channels to choose from, the hotel's location was excellent, we enjoyed it very much. We didn't try it but we saw that there was also a gym that looked well equipped

Staff is great and welcoming, always willing to help from the check in time till the check out. Location is right in the center with walking distance to most of the interesting places. We got a daily free welcoming drink and sandwich at the hotel bar - was really good to start the evening with a glass of wine and small sandwich.

One day we came early back to the hotel to have noon rest and there were lots of noise from next building constructions. we could not have a rest.

Location is excellent if you like to be in the very center of Vaci Street, the main pedestrian only shopping street of Budapest. The Mercure City Center hotel also has very accommodating staff, that changed my room on the spot when they saw we were traveling with 5 large bags. They let us keep our big luggage securely for five days without any fee and gave us a reliable system of receipts. Every day, they made the room spotless and the cleaners were very kind. This hotel is amazing and I highly recommend it. It’s worth it for the place and the convenience of visiting Budapest.

I can’t think of anything negative, the hotel was superb in every aspect, and the staff was very courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The only drawback I can imagine is the uncertainty of finding a parking spot, but the city has plenty of trains, trams, buses, and cabs, so you can get around without a car.

Lovely, quiet and comfortable room with tea and coffee making facility. Would stay here again.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like except the attention to detail of cleaning of the small ledges around the room that needed dusting as did the towel rail. We were there for 6 nights and it was never wiped down. The rest of the cleaning was amazing.

Location was great, the breakfast was very nice and had GF baked goods when asked the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nice touch of bottled water and Madeline cookies. The staff was helpful and courteous.

Our room was too hot for sleeping, it took us several days to figure out how to balance the temperature. The bar was great but closed at 10pm. A bit early for europe.

Location.. couldn't get any better than this! The staff were amazing as well.

Major issue.. bathroom! The whole bathroom size is ok but In order to get into tiny shower cubicle you need to open the glass door and it just doesnt have much space. You need to wiggle in. If you are not the average sized person, you can definitely not open the glass door and squeeze into the shower!! The carpet looks dirty and old.

Location convenient to touring Budapest. Room was good size for Europe. Lock box in room. Bed was comfortable. Lounge area in reception area. Close to great dining options.

Hot room. Could open window only couple of inches but then there was a lot of street noise coming in.

The location was exceptionally convenient, allowing for easy access to shopping centers, the Budapest Wheel, and numerous nearby attractions.

In order to unwind, I scheduled a massage. The masseuse was quite pleasant, but the treatment room was situated next to the gym, and the noise from the ongoing workout on the other side of the door was not conducive to relaxation. I would advise relocating the treatment room to a more tranquil area of the hotel.
