The location is everything! We were a stone's throw from the Salamanca Market and Square and we were surrounded by endless food options, including a 3 minute walk to the piers and all their restaurants and cafes. The room was very spacious and the property had plenty of parking (for $15/night). It was a comfortable bed and the kitchen area was fully equipped if you didn't feel like taking advantage of the local hospitality.
On our first night we had to ask reception to send someone up as there was a rather unmissable brown stain on the floor near the toilet. Everything else was clean and it was taken care of very quickly but it did leave a slight mark on the first impression. About 3 nights into our 7 night stay, the (rather old) aircon stopped working hotel-wide. It was out for about 24-32 hours. Thankfully it wasn't that hot and staff did offer to send up a pedestal fan. I think despite it's remodelling the rooms felt a little outdated still, especially the bathroom (tub shower). All in all, location was great, staff were great and everything else was fine.

Loved the location of course, so close to everything at the wharf and waterfront area. Onsite parking, quiet, nice modern decor, spacious room with comfortable furnishings etc. all the staff members we encountered were very nice, helpful and professional.
No working air con during our stay unfortunately (which we were advised of beforehand and received complementary parking. The heater we were given didn’t really work that well on the last night when it was quite cold. Yes, staff did bring another heater when I rang about the issue which helped a lot. Lighting in bathroom quite poor with it being rather dark inside the shower area. No heating in there either and no exhaust fan, which was the worst issue as the entire room and mirror completely fogged up all the time. Also, there was mould on the tiles in the shower area (a common issue in most places now unfortunately, no matter how expensive or highly rated). No power points anywhere near the bed area either was a little annoying.

The breakfast was amazing each morning and this was because of Val. Her willingness to make sure everyone was happy and had exactly what they wanted was exceptional. Everyone should have walked away with a full tummy, had a pleasant chat and a couple of pastries tucked into their pockets for morning tea. The location of the accommodation is also spot on, right in the center of Salamanca. The rooms were large and the curtains had excellent block out. This Motel really ticked all the boxes we look for when we are staying away.
I was disappointed that the shower was over the bath.

We have stayed more than once at The Salamanca and the Salamanca Suites and have enjoyed our experience at both. We love the close proximity to the harbour and the Salamanca Markets and easy to get anywhere. The rooms are a great size and have fridge and all facilities.
The weather was hot when we stayed this time 32 degrees and unfortunately our bedroom was in a mezzanine or loft level and the air conditioning did not reach the upstairs area and the the stand alone fan was not efficient enough to combat the hot air.

They have hashbrown for breakfast. Pretty much next to salamanca market (saturday). Location is great. Parking downstairs. Staff was great upon check-in. Accidently left gaming mice in room and staff sent it via auspost. Massive room comparing to other accomdation. Price is also reasonable.
Possibly over charged for parking by a day - should clarify if they charge per night or per day (got charged for 3 days instead of 2 nights). Breakfast was good however, staff only put out limited food that made it look not appealing. Needed to ask for more food - not the feeling of buffet style. That being said, there wasnt a variety of food options as well.

The location was perfect, close to Salamanca Wharf, attractions and restaurants. The plaza view from our apartment was beautiful. Apartment very spacious with easy to use washer and dryer.
Couldn’t seem to find any aircon to cool the rooms, bedrooms too warm( Although they did provide fans) Very hard to check in to the parking building with our car. Had to drive from one side of the street to the other and then back again as the car wouldn’t fit in the allocated space.

Reception staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Bed was a bit firm for my personal preference. Had problems with the tv, some printed instructions would be helpful and it was malfunctioning and kept on automatically reverting to spoken text, the receptionist came up to try to sort it out. The premises are decorated nicely and very clean. The location is great for walking to everything and the spa and pool were a bonus. Access for anyone with a disability is good except for the pool and spa area which has a lot of stairs.

We are regular stayers at Salamanca Inn. The rooms are great, the heated tile floors particularly nice. Warm and comfortable. A great place to stay
For coffee, you get instant coffee. Thats all. There is a coffee Bodem and ground coffee in the fridge but you have to pay for that. It's frustrating that a service that so many locations provide for free is tied up in penny pinching. A pod coffee machine is missing.

Location was perfect.
I didn't like that children were allowed in the Cocktail Lounge. A family with young children arrived with a board game! while my partner and I were enjoying a cocktail. We left as soon as we finished the drink when we had planned to stay for much longer. Another couple also left. Personally, I don't believe that children need to be in every area of the hotel. Surely, a Cocktail Lounge implies an area for adults. Children get to be everywhere else! .. one would think that a Cocktail Lounge/Bar would be off limits. I am still upset about this because it happened again the next night with a different family.

Great hotel suite, suitable for our family of 5, spacious, lovely top floor.
The kids bunk bed was hazardous with raw screws at head bang height and very dodgy old metalwork (and I’ve seen a. lot of bunk beds). It needs replacing with a functionally safe basic modern one, not difficult to do. The hotel pool was close to the suite and the whole corridor smelt like a swimming pool.
