The property was very clean and tidy all the time. The bed was comfortable, also you get two duvet/comforters in 1 bed for a couples room (not a fan) The spa/sauna was amazing no need to book just be there between 1700H and 2100H.

Breakfast could be improved (not a lot of choices) One female (long black wavy hair) staff had a very unwelcoming aura and not very polite but the male manager was very nice and welcoming. I have observed another female staff member (very short hair) mocked one of the asian guest during check out and copied their face on their back. You guys need to review your ladies staff member since I do not have any uncomfortable comments about the place but the staff made our stay very unpleasant and we did not want to enter/exit at the reception during our stay we went through the back stairs instead for us not to have any encounter with the female staff.

The room was lovely. There was plenty of room for both of us and the view of the Matterhorn from the balcony was amazing. The location was perfect. Just on the outskirts of the town but only a 5 minute walk to the shops/supermarkets and close to the Matterhorn viewpoint which we went to each evening to see the view. When we had questions prior to the trip we got prompt email responses from staff which was great.

There isn't a 24 hour staff presence which was fine however when we realised late evening on our first day that our travel chargers didn't fit, there wasn't anyone around to ask where we could find a replacement which would have been helpful.

The location of the hotel is very good: 8 minutes walk from the train station. The view from the terrace was amazing as you could see the village and the Matterhorn (when weather allows). The penthouse was very accommodating, with plenty of space and with a lovely kitchenette. Although we ended up eating dinner at the restaurant of the hotel as the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. If my dog could rate the hotel she would also give the max of stars as she was always greeted with joy and lots of pets.

Small but nice rooms. Just have everything you need, despite limited space. Breakfast included was really good with local products. Good toiletries. We got a room with partial view to the Matterhorn which was nice. They have an interesting spa that unfortunately we could not use as we did not have clothes for it. Location is good. about 10 minutes to train station and main road. a bit on the hill but not to much to make you exhausted. I love Swiss water anyways, but their tap "filtered" water was so nice and cold, and it stayed nice and cold in my bottle the entire day! They also have sparkling water to serve yourself for free which is really really nice.

The rooms, although not big, feel spacious because of the thoughtful design and careful selection of furniture throughout the hotel. We felt extremely comfortable staying at Carina and would highly recommend this place. The dinner served at the hotel restaurant was so delicious and full of flavours. We love the sharing-plate concept where everyone gets to have a taste of the different dishes served. All staff at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. The ski rental place (Matterhorn Sport Riva) was just 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. We were given an extra 10% discount for being the guests of Hotel Carina. The Sunnega funicular station was just another 3 minutes walk from the rental place along the river.

The hotel is super clean and well maintained. Our room was located on the third floor and had an amazing view of the Matterhorn! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was basic but nice. The hotel also has a sauna which was great after a day in the cold. The bestttt thing however is the restaurant. We had dinner on our last night there and everything we tried was exceptional!! It’s a must try and worth the money! Kudus to the Chef! Our hearts were full!

nice room but missing a few stuff. no electric kettle in the room, if guest needs hot water, have to take it at the canteen below room slippers since guest need to assess the spa area no bathrobe given, so guest going down have to wear their own clothes. and in winter, i doubt any guest will pack slippers along so they have to wear their covered shoes to use spa facilities and wear them back which isnt the most comfortable

Room: Clean, bed was comfortable, cute decor, and got very warm. Location: Excellent, close to Zermatt train station, Gornergrat bahn, and Sunegga. Breakfast: Good with variety of options, liked the muesli and bread available. Other: Front desk polite and helpful. Very nice lobby area to sit and decompress after a long ski day. Water (still and sparkling) available all day was great. Ski storage was nice, especially warm boot room.

Coffee machine was so-so and free from 7-10am but after that had to pay. Offer d free tea and hot water all day—lipton brand, so better to just bring your own tea. Room was small and felt cramped at times. Felt a bit pricey however it is to be expected in Zermatt.

The common area including the dorms are excellent. Well designed and functional. Kind and thoughtful staff with one exception (see below). Thank you very much!!!!

Not everyone staying here are familiar with behaving considerately (being quiet, light management, cleaning up after oneself) in shared areas, like dorm and bathrooms. There was no attempt to impress consideration of newcomers this style of staying. Breakfast at 7 is IMO late in the mountains. Therefore some mountain lodges offer self service with no staff for early raisers. Specifically saying no to start breakfast when you arrive 6:40 AM and it is mostly ready indicates rules, or maybe attitude, are more important than guest service.
