We were greeted by the bright, bubbly and organized women at reception who had us checked in quickly and efficiently. The room was clean and comfy and was well equipped with everything we needed to self cater. It was terrific to have access to a laundry room so I could catch up with our washing with both washing machine and dryers available. You can also use the drying racks that are in the wardrobe. Felt like being at home with the big flat screen TV in our room. The location of the motel was great as it's beachfront. Parking was on premises right in front of our unit. We were not aware of any traffic noise whilst inside. We didn't swim in the well maintained pool but it did look inviting. There is a Coles supermarket within easy walking distance and lots of choice for cafes etc surrounding the motel.

So should you want a clean, comfortable, affordable stay at a terrific location on The Strand in Townsville with comfy bed, pillows, terrific staff we highly rate the Beach House Motel. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay here.

Location of it. Mostly central to where we plan our trip (by fluke, which never happens for us lol) The fact it is on the strand gave us opportunities to get out and about esp with kids to enjoy the weather without having to drive to get there. The restaurants and ice cream shop were within walking distance, and the supermarket was a 3 minute drive behind our accommodation. The price for the stay we had was affordable with its many payment options, which gave us more opportunities to enjoy other services or events in the area. The friendly staff was amazing, esp with their phone service. Always helpful and with beautiful smiles. Thanks, Adam and team, for the wonderful service. We much appreciated it.

The fact we had to leave. May need to plan our holiday a little longer next time.

Great location. Nice and close to cafes and restaurants, and the beach was across the road for easy morning and afternoon walks. It’s be a lettuce spot for those with kids, too - lots of playgrounds nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The beds were far too soft making them uncomfortable for us. Bathroom screens had holes in them, so we needed to close windows at night to stop mosquitoes coming in. Another guest kept smoking out the front so the room smelled of smoke when we first walked in, and we needed to keep the window shut for the duration of our stay.

Stayed 3 nights in a twin room and rebooked for our trip home. We where upgraded to the Self Contained Large Twin and it was fabulous. Will definitely be booking that room in the future. Very spacious and quiet. Comfy beds.

Carrying heavy bags up the stairs (we will pack an overnight bag next time). Also can be quite noisy at times with other guests doors slamming and guest smoking out the front of some units. (which can happen at any complex)

Love the rooms beautiful comfortable bed had the best sleep :) felt soo relaxed waking up with the view of the beach across from my room :) close to all the best food venues in the city :) the afternoons a lovely and cool strolling along the strand also the night life and the atmosphere was amazing :) the rooms are soo cool with the aircon on and the fan :) love it

That breakfast is not included that's not a big issue will still recommend staying there

Location was amazing, cross the street and you are at the beach. Clean room. Friendly staff, checking in and out was a piece of cake. We could even leave our backpacks at the reception for a couple of hours after we checked out before our connecting journey.

The kitchen includes a microwave instead of an oven, would have preferred it the other way around. But there was plenty of cookware which was nice.

The location was awesome, walking distance to restaurants, pubs and cafes. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean but did need a little maintenance to the wall around the top of the shower. Overall, this property was excellent for location, staff and cleanliness, I would recommend this property.

The toilet/bathroom was too close to the bed.

Great location on The Strand with coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance

We were a family of two adults and a two year old and a 3 month old and were put on the top floor with only stairs to get to our room (no lift). It was difficult trying to get all our luggage plus two prams and two babies up. Stayed for 3 nights so had to lug the prams up and down the stairs each day.

Fabulous location on the Strand opposite beach, close to hotels, restaurants Cafes, takeaway food outlets and 5 minutes walk from Coles, walk to public bus stop, 5 minutes by bus to ferry terminal for Magnetic Island. Older building but tastefully renovated, fully self contained, good size refrigerator (but they could update the electric hotplates), Pool too. Would go again..

We were there during the floods, and also due to having to be there away from home for the hospital. The staff were amazing and very accommodating to our needs ,,,, helped me with my bags and shopping moving in as I was a solo traveler with a little one just out of surgery. Great location,, helpful staff and the bed was comfy
