A very pleasant 3-day stay at Quest on Thorndon for the first time. The location is very convenient with Wellington Railway Station and the main bus terminal less than 10 mins walking distance. The studio room is spacious even with a double couch and very well equipped and maintained. Clean, modern and comfortable. The Toshiba air con runs smoothly and quietly. The bathroom’s ventilation system is not as loud as other hotels’ in Wellington. The TV offers great range of free movies. The mini bar is packed with coffee, hot chocolate and tea bags. Mini cookies and Nespreso are good choices too. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The only issue is that my iPhone 14 Pro couldn’t scan the TV for screen mirroring. Overall I highly recommend Quest on Thorndon.

It is a very convenient location, close to Wellington Station and the New World supermarket. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor facing east, so we enjoyed the view and it was relatively quiet. The room was functional, cleaned every day, and coffee, detergent, etc. were replenished, so it was comfortable.
We were told that it would be helpful if we could let them know our arrival time in advance, so we replied, but when we arrived, the front desk was empty and the entrance to the building was closed, so we had to talk to a staff member at the center via the intercom on the exterior wall to get instructions on how to get the key. We were told that staff were only on-site until 5pm on Sundays, but we felt that we should have been notified of this in advance.

The staff are exceptional from the front desk to house keeping. The location is easy to all city attractions, etc. Directly on bus route with the main train station merely 200m walk and CBD within 500m. The bedroom was very clean and tidy with generous amenities (towels, linens, coffee, tea, milk, sugar etc) TV simple to operate with free WiFi. Safe location and very much enjoyed the stay.
No fault of the hotel was the council roadworks between 7pm - 4am. It was exceptionally noisy during those hours and we lost two night's sleep The location is very convenient but noise from the train station and late night harbour loading did impact our ability to sleep.

We have stayed at this Quest facility on numerous occasions. It was appreciated that we were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment for our short stay. Located on the fringes of the city, it makes for easier access to all areas of Wellington. It was also convenient to be able to utilise the facilities of the adjacent gym. The room itself was spacious, modern, and clean, which appeared to have been recently updated. Additionally, the cooking facilities and utensils were more than adequate for self-catering.

Superb location especially if you’re attending anything at the stadium. Great value for money with room size and facilities. Their after hours check in process was well thought out and easy to follow, and they were happy for us to extend check out by an hour at no extra cost. Communication and helpfulness from staff 10/10. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.
Our room didn’t have a window that could be opened to let fresh air in so got a lil bit stuffy. Would have also liked some coasters/place mats in the room to help us protect the furniture. But minor complaints. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Location was convenient. It was an easy walk to the station, Parliament, Cathedral and shops. Only a 10 minute drive to catch the early morning ferry to the South Island. It was quiet, just what we needed to recover from jet lag . Able to catch up on sleep, do the washing, see the tourist sights. More homely than luxurious but the cooking facilities were good and we loved the Nespresso machine. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was great. Wellington is very walkable and hotel was in a good spot for much of what we wanted to see and do. Our apartment had an odd-shaped living area, which made it a little less usable, e.g. there was only one lounge chair and no sofa, so only 1 of us good relax comfortably at night. But, to balance that, the bedroom was very quiet, and the bed was really comfortable so we slept really well. Kitchen was basic but sufficient.
Odd shaped living area and lack of a couch to relax on.

This is the third time I've stayed here, so says something, right? Fully equipped rooms with cooking, dishwasher and washing machine is a great addition.
I found out the hard way they don't service rooms on Sundays, which to me is a little strange, and really annoyed me as we had stinking rubbish. A reduction in service would mean a reduction in rate right? Apparently not. Beds need replacement. Beds not as comfortable as previous years.

Conveniently located around the ferry terminals, railway station, and stadium, Quest on Thornton is a nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, with all necessities and amenities provided. If you are looking for resort type amenities, they wont be found in the immediate area. The staff were professional and courteous in spite of my very late check-in. I would highly recommend Quest on Thornton if you want to stay in the area.

Lovely clean bathroom. Large bed with view through window of city harbourside. Coffee machine was a wonderful touch. Card access to lift and room makes for added sense of security.
The fourth floor room 404. Husband is tall and this room has a lot of angles and unless you really look at where the desk is placed you will hit your head on the wall. Also not sure how you can use the chest of drawers unless you crawl in
