Lovely decor, great staff, amazing location! Upgraded us to an incredible room looking over the park for my husbands birthday & also surprised us with a lovely gift in the room. Will most certainly be back to stay again!

My only tiny gripe is the price of breakfast if you don’t have it included in the room rate. £31 each for the hot buffet plus 12.5% service charge. We didn’t realise how expensive it would be until it too was too late. It was very good though, so next time we’ll ensure we book a rate which includes breakfast!

Location Service Comfort Breakfast Staff very friendly

One thing I didn’t like : my room had the breakfast included package What I didn’t like while I was having breakfast , the waiter would bring the cheque and they would place the tip inside the booklet and it was optional which I didn’t like even though breakfast was included I believe this action should be avoided because it makes the guests very uncomfortable

Brilliant location next to Kensington Palace and close to High Street Kensington tube station for access to the whole of London and Heathrow Airport. The higher floors have nicer rooms and some have excellent views over the park towards The Albert Hall. Worth asking for one of those. Breakfast is great with nice range of fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, pastries/croissants etc. Hot food OK but not worth the extra. Plenty of fresh juices and as much tea and coffee as you want. Staff at reception excellent and moved us up from floor 2 to floor 4 without a problem. Try floors 5_8 however.

The view from our room on floor 2 was terrible. However when we asked to be moved the view was a bit better from room 451. I think However that the even numbers on that floor would have been better.

The breakfast was good, hotel staff very nice. Location is excellent

The hotel toiletries in the room can be increased. Also many tourists from the Middle East would like a portable toilet hose to be installed

Overall the hotel is good but

I booked a room type Royal Deluxe for 4 nights (paid £1110) and they gave me a room called Royal double Deluxe with interconnected door and no privacy at all. You can hear the other guest conversation and even their phone alarm in the morning. I chose Royal Deluxe and paid more thinking I will get the bigger room with Sofa which was showing in the images, but i noticed later they are using two different rooms images in each category and the two rooms are different in size and restroom design. I reached the hotel front desk to confirm if i got the correct room and they were positive. I tried to get the bigger room but they told me I need to upgrade. So this is one of the things need to watch out for before booking the room in future.

I had carefully planned a memorable getaway for our silver wedding anniversary—a West End show, fine dining, and a stay in luxury accommodation. The Royal Garden Hotel and its exceptional staff ensured our experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the accommodation delivered on every promise of comfort and luxury, just as advertised and praised in other reviews - so I shan't repeat those details here. But what truly set this hotel apart was the personal touch. I had mentioned how special this occasion was for my wife and me, and when we entered our room, we were met with thoughtful, heartfelt surprises. These weren’t just standard gestures—they were thoughtfully chosen, bespoke details that made us feel genuinely celebrated. A special thank you to Henry, Ryan and Yasmina(?) for making our stay so memorable. The breakfast was exquisite—beautifully prepared, generously stocked, impressive variety—in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. The staff struck the perfect balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. I cannot recommend the Royal Garden Hotel highly enough. They made an already special occasion truly unforgettable.

There is nothing that could have been improved on.

Great views over gardens and palace. Comfortable nice size room with twin beds if travelling with friends. Clean bathroom with nice finishings. Excellent location - quiet park and surrounding streets but close to high street for easy shopping. We were visiting friends in Notting Hill before Christmas- nice festive atmosphere. Would stay again for short break.

Nothing of note.

Room was perfectly quiet - no noise whatsoever. Breakfast was well organized, quiet, spacious seating, coffee was good and buffet was more than adequate. Adequate number of lifts to room floors, never had to wait and lifts were fast. Housekeeping was excellent. Location of hotel is perfect for public transport, taxis, parks, shopping, sightseeing.

only one day, a waiter rather menacingly plonked a gratuity bill on everyone's table at breakfast. I felt very obliged to pay it but now wish I hadn't. Never saw that waiter again and this did not happen again during my week's stay.
