The location to the tube and a sweet little breakfast place on the corner (The Muffin Man) made this location very nice. All of the staff that we interacted with were incredibly helpful and accommodating....we didn't realize this hotel has no AC and there was a heat wave while we were there 2nd week of June....so we borrowed the office fan at night, returning it in the mornings. Without that fan, despite the super comfortable mattress, we would have slept terribly due to the heat. The room was well-appointed and we appreciated the fridge and microwave.

Our only complaint would be the lack of AC, and even further...the complete lack of ceiling fans in lieu of AC. I would likely not stay here again in the summer for this alone.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay – We'll Be Back! Our stay at CG Kensington was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were some of the kindest and most helpful people we've ever encountered in a hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us, and solved every small issue we had with genuine care and professionalism. The room was actually larger than it looked in the pictures, which was a lovely surprise, and everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The location couldn't have been better – everything we needed was within a 2-minute walk, including shops, restaurants, and most importantly, a tube station right next door, making it incredibly easy to get around London. We truly felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay, and there's no doubt that we’ll be coming back here for our next visit to London. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

Luxury double room no.14. Great en suite facilities, although shower pressure quite low. Nespresso coffee machine in room. Use of Netflix/BBC iPlayer etc. Great wardrobe for storage space. Excellent location - 5 mins from Kensington High Street tube station, plus 10 mins from Kensington Park & Holland Park for lovely walks. Plenty of bars and restaurants choices, plus M&S nearby

Very subtle hotel so difficult to find - no sign near front door. Basically street between Muffin Tea Shop and a Thai restaurant. No bedside reading lamps - just main ceiling light Narrow stairs could be an issue for ppl with mobility problems, so ask for a ground floor room

What a find. Great location to explore the area and very close to Tube and high street yet quiet. A lovely surprise to see some period features in the hotel such as stained glass and the beautiful staircase. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. All the staff so kind and helpful a credit to the business. Room so much larger than expected with all the facilities of a much higher starred hotel which was welcomed. Thank you for a restful stay.

The only difficulty experienced was the noise of the above guests when then came in and I think wore concrete shoes! However this did not detract from the stay and relatively short lived.

This small hotel was exactly as described. It was a 5 min walk to the High Street Kensington Tube (& bus stop) & a 15 min walk to Earl's Court Tube that connects directly to Heathrow terminals 2-5. The room was clean, and it did have a small fridge, electric kettle, coffee maker (pods), & microwave (though it may be hard to access if you are short; I am 5'8" and could just reach to set items in the center of the turntable). The TV appeared to have content available from several streaming services, though we only turned it on one evening and are not the most TV-savvy. The bathroom was small & clean with decent water pressure & no lack of hot water. I found the management responsive to messaging on the Booking.com app, and very forthright on what they could & could not accommodate. Oh, we had no car this trip and were glad. Parking would have been extremely difficult to find.

There is no lift, but the desk attendant took one of our suitcases up for us. We were on the 2nd floor (3rd if you're from the US) & there were some rooms on the half-floor landings (so fair amount of stairs). We stayed here all 8 nights of our trip, so we only had to get luggage up & then down once (so not a big deal). There are floors above ours (2, I think), so those with limited mobility might want to request a lower floor.

My husband and I spent two nights here. The location is fantastic, with 10-15 minute walks to two Tube stations and easy connections. There are lots of great restaurants in the area, including great places for breakfast. And of course all the shops on High Street Kensington. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleased and surprised by the refrigerator and microwave. We also put the coffee maker and tea kettle to good use. Finally, it had one of the best A/C systems of any hotel I've stayed in -- quiet and responsive. The hotel is on a quiet street, with very little noise, a definite plus in busy London.

We were completely satisfied and would return. However, travelers need to know that this is an older building with steep, narrow stairs. We travel with smaller suitcases and did not have any trouble. But if you travel with large ones, you may find the stairs challenging.

Amazing location and well-priced. Clean facilities and tucked away on a quiet street. It is within walking distance from the High Street Kensington Station. Great for singles traveling alone. The staff was lovely. There was a Keurig in the room. Other travelers should note that Google Maps took us directly to the location, but there is no sign on the outside of the building, so we were a bit confused when we arrived because it beautifully blends in with the other quaint houses on the street.

The location was perfect. The underground is just on the same road which 2 minutes away. Also, there is multiple bus stops just near the hotel which can easily accessed. Kensington park just near the hotel which you can get there by walking and access hyde park through it. The room has variable facilities including: safe, iron, hair dryer, coffee machine.

The space of the room limited. For me, it was more than enough as a solo traveller but i am not sure how it will be for a couple. One important point to mention, that there is no reception from 9pm-9am so you have to chick in before 9pm and if you lost or forget your card after 9pm, you will be in trouble. I didn’t face same problem but it made me panic.

Fantastic location, nice, clean rooms that even have a fridge, lovely staff (they accepted to store my rucksack both before check-in and after check-out, which was really nice of them). Great tea and coffee facilities with biscuits provided. The limited opening times of reception were not a problem for me even if you do have to keep it in mind, and I guess you get what you pay for – this hotel is really good value for the area.

A bigger sign at the door would have been a bonus, as I first walked past and had to check the street number to find the entrance.

Customer services and receptionists were great especially the male receptionist Denesh and Melissa. Denesh went beyond and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, happy and looked after. Was really happy with the service, the room was a good price range and in close proximity of the train station etc. The receptionist deserves recognition, as he really cares about his customers and showed great curtesy to my partner and I. He is positive, vibrant and very helpful with great manners. In hotels comfort, feeling welcomed and appreciated by staff members with a positive approach and kindness go a long way!

There is nothing I did not like about the hotel, I thought it was great. Maybe just updating and renewing the doors for the bathroom so they were quite odd to open and close.
