Everything was immaculate. The room was a little on the small side but had everything we needed (apart from tea/coffee making facilities). There was even a view of the lake from the terrace outside our room. After arriving very late because of transport issues, we were met by a very kind and helpful lady who not only arranged for us to park our car, she also arranged for bar to stay open to serve us drinks, even though it officially had closed. There was also a very kind man who took our luggage in for us. The buffet style breakfast had just about everything anyone could want.

It would have been nice to have drinks making facilities in our room. But it was only a minor issue

The hotel is situated in a great location, 5 min walking distance from the train station. The room was renovated and the breakfast was nice. When I arrived the room was not ready yet but I was invited to use the swimming pool until until the official check in time, When I did the check out, I was also allowed to use the pool and all the facilities of the hotel during the day. The breakfast had some variety of options and good quality. The restaurant situated in the gardens of the hotel is also a recommended option for a nice meal.

Very clean and comfortable room, and the view on the lake is beautiful! Also, there is a park with palm trees and a tropical feeling, and the pool is really nice. The restaurant is also in the park in a quiet atmosphere with good food. The lady at the welcome desk was very nice and accomodated our request, thank you so much, we had a great time here!

The room itself is a bit simple, and we would have appreciated a kettle with some tea and a coffee machine in the room. Additonnally, some of the staff was slightly cold to us, we were waiting for 20min at the bar to be served when finally a waitress told us that we had to sit at one of the table in order to have our drinks. No big deal, but some more courtesy and smiles would have been appreciated.

We have stayed at many hotels throughout Europe, and the Continental Parkhotel was one of our favorites. It has a beautiful, quiet elegance to it, the rooms and views are lovely, quite a large bathroom & shower for Europe, which we loved! Spacious room & fantastic views. The free breakfast was extensive & delicious and the breakfast room was lovely, all glass with views of the lake and property. And the property itself is worth a stroll, plus don’t miss the evenings (or happy hours!) in the hotel bar/lounge (quite lovely) or the fantastic hotel restaurant. The food was amazing. I can’t say enough about the the hotel, but truly the staff shined the brightest down to each & every one we came into contact with, from Immanuela & Roberta at the Fri t desk that assisted with special requests, to the two bartenders, breakfast room & restaurant staff, housekeeping, everyone is so welcoming. I cannot wait to return & would highly recommend!!!!

Having stayed in many 5* hotels in Switzerland, none have come close to the hospitality and enjoyment that we experienced here. A classic hotel with comfort and attention that harks back to the 'good old days' of Swiss hotels, from the breakfast to the pool, to the bar and ending at the restaurant. The helpful and friendly staff made it all possible - and everything was done in understated style.

It's a 3* hotel, so don’t expect a coffee machine or toiletries in the room. I liked it all.

Exceptional hotel - great location and amazing staff. Rooms were of a very high standard (we had a lake view room). Happy hour was always well attended - but could always find a seat and relax with a cocktail (or two). The pool area was extremely well maintained. Breakfast - again great choice and definitely value for money. The staff were all so very welcoming - always ready to talk and help with any questions. We drove from the UK and once parked we made use of the free Ticino ticket that gave free travel on local trains and buses. We did venture into Milan for the day - this we had to pay for, but was well worth it. The train station is very close - but there was no noise during the night and even when sat on the balcony during the day after a while I didn’t really notice them. If you are planning on staying in Lugano then this family run hotel is definitely the place to stay !

The location and the view over the garden. The friendly staff and their willingness to assist. This was experienced with reception, the person in the bar and the cleaning staff.

No coffee in the room. For me this is important and is enjoyed when waking up. I had to wait until going down to breakfast to get coffee, and there had to wait a long time to get any. Either have this available in the rooms or self service in the dining room so could be got on arrival. This is a big one for me.

The best hotel I have stayed at in years!! Staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and informative. Room well-appointed and very comfortable, with excellent air-con, comfy beds and w-fi. Balcony with fantastic views over the town and lake. Excellent pool which was just the right temperature. Separate but nearby children's play area for families. Great breakfasts and lovely restaurant for evening dining - the outside area surrounded by tall palm trees was lovely. Nice bar. The hotel has its own vineyard on site and its own distillery too. Lovely shaded gardens surround the hotel. Just 5 minutes level walk from the station.

Very nice ambiance in common areas, pool, etc. The rooms are as in the pictures. Strong shower, AC worked perfectly (I was doubtful given other comments here), and plenty of options in the breakfast. The pool area and bar are also nice: drinks came with free snacks, which was a nice detail. We also got contacted by email in advance as to get free city pass to use public transport, which was quite convenient (including the funicular that takes you to the city center in what?.. 5/10 minutes.

Wifi didn’t work sometimes. Didn’t try further and just switched to mobile data. Maybe worth to know for some.

Fantastic staff, good breakfast range, restaurant serving delicious evening meals, happy hour half price drinks, view of the lake, lovely fin de siècle building, modern well equiped, spacious rooms, excellent location with free funicular to the town and proximity to station. The grounds are spacious and beautifully looked after and there is a large swimming pool.

Unreliable wifi with no obvious explanation. First floor room had buildings in front obscuring some of the lake. Ask for third floor if booking lake room. The hotel is literally next door to railway lines and heavy goods trains are very noisy and run during the night causing interrupted sleep. Perhaps upper floors would be less affected or even the garden rooms.
