- The location is great - just a few meters from a tram stop, making it easy to explore the city. - Despite being in a peaceful, quiet area, it’s still conveniently close to the city center. - Staff were friendly and attentive, and the reception desk is open 24/7. - Breakfast was diverse and delicious. - Room, though compact, was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, except for a fridge, which was a small oversight.

- Room’s temperature couldn’t be adjusted, and it felt a bit cold at night, which was slightly uncomfortable and made us worry about catching a cold. - Ventilation system was noticeably loud for such a small space. - The TV’s voice assistance feature, which you cannot turn off, was a bit annoying, loudly announcing every button press, and without access to settings for guests. - Also, the TV was wall-mounted with no accessible HDMI port, so connecting personal devices wasn’t an option.

Very unique hotel catering to artists, added a delightful chic vibe. Staff was friendly and available to meet any issue we had. Room was cozy and comfortable. The discount for the nearby sauna was also a very welcome surprise.

Room was a tad warm, as the thermostat didn't seem to really do much to lower the temperature. The water pressure from the bidet was also very low to the point where it felt very ineffective. TV was kinda spotty in terms of picture quality, but we weren't really there for that. I was kinda disappointed that the breakfast cost so much when I already paid a high price for the hotel as is. Complimentary coffee at least would have been appreciated.

The breakfast was quite good and offered a nice variety, although it would have been nice to have a wider selection of fresh fruits — there was only watermelon available during my stay. The design of the hotel is stylish and modern, and the location is convenient.

One thing I hadn’t noticed when booking is that the rooms do not have their own mini-fridge or any working table, which would have been nice to have. Also, the hotel does not have its own free sauna. There is a partnership with the nearby Jätkäsaari sauna, and guests get a discount there, but it’s still a bit of a walk. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the check-in process in the evening was a bit slow — the same person working at the bar was also handling check-ins, which led to some delays.

Unique place with lots of artwork and very friendly staff. The room has blackout blind which is useful in summer. We liked the smart TV. Breakfast is excellent with local specialties. Tram stop is in front of the hotel and the metro is very close. The district with bays is interesting and beautiful.

Just to write something here... I missed a wardrobe or a shelf for clothes and a small fridge in the room. But I understand that space is limited. There is a small sofa that can be used for storage and there are hangers on the wall.

I love, that the TV is hidden behind a curtain! Very comfortable mattress and pillows on the bed (for me), good lighting from very mild to bright options (bathroom could use a milder night light option), good amount of hangers for clothes. And this time the artwork on the wall and throw-pillows was not so scary 😁. I also like that you can turn off the airconditioning for the night, as it is very loud and that there is a sofa-like sitting option in addition to the bed in the room. Breakfast is super, FAIRTRADE coffee, sugar and honey is super, service has been very good so far! And I love it is in walking distance from Tallink ferry harbour.

I very much love hotel AX and the rooms! But this time, I heard other room(s) flush their toilet(s), talking and maybe the housekeeping staff clean (or visitors use the bathroom and bang against things) as early as 08:20 on a Saturday morning, instead of enjoying a nice long sleep. One discomfort I do experience is working in the room with a laptop. But there are some tables in the lobby and below ground floor that have plugs near by.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. I am also the one who always reads the comments and I largely base it on that, because you can't get it any other way 🙃 We liked everything - the location, the atmosphere, the peace and quiet, the blankets, the pillows, the bed and the breakfast. And we are quite picky. The price-quality ratio is extremely good! 👌 I definitely recommend taking the breakfast - from hummus to brownies, from chia pudding to pickled onions. Loved it!

I was particularly impressed by the quiet location; while trams occasionally passed by, the noise was minimal and didn't disrupt the overall tranquility. The hotel boasts a modern design and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. Breakfast was a definite highlight, with a delicious spread to start the day. The bathroom amenities were also of great quality. For the quality and location, Hotel Ax offers exceptional value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Helsinki.

I think that the breakfast was exceptionally good and there were a lot of interesting options for vegan and non vegan food. I absolutely loved the LGBTQ friendly environment which me as a person being in the community I felt so safe. Also knowing that it is a sustainable hotel in having biodegradable and cleanliness of the hotel rooms and corridors makes the whole experience better

The idea of the standard king rooms having two single duvets on a double bed was kind of a surprise to me but this didn’t bother me once sleeping in the bed. It didn’t matter because the bed was too comfy!!

Loved the design and the weirdness - in a positive way - of the hotel. Very modern and futuristic, but yet very accommodating in terms of comfort, calm and quiet, and very warm.

To be very honest, I liked everything. The fact that there is no room service and that the food menu is limited - in options and timings as well - bothered me initially, but then I just understood that is managed like this and simply found other options. The staff were very very friendly - especially Heini, Sara and Bernie. They helped me with some things I needed in regards to food ordering, and also my plant based needs, which was very much appreciated. Although we stayed only 3-4 days, the staff managed to build a nice relation and remember me, which was very nice and sweet. I’ll definitely recommend the place to others when in Helsinki. And I hope to see Bernie again ☺️ he was very kind to me

I love the hotel style, all the details and the convenient but peaceful location - if you don't prefer to stay in the very heart of Helsinki. Breaky, staff, cleanliness, even the modern curtains in the room were great and I was very happy with the size of the room.

Ony few things I was missing: Gym, Iron and mini fridge - otherwise I think I would choose this hotel for my future visits. I understand you have ironing services and staff was very helpful with enquiries, they even took my little yougurt into common area fridge.
