Location, location and location, it’s right in centre of the most popular sites. The Buda castle is right across the Danube, via the window you can see the stunning night views of the Danube. Staffs are friendly, with the club access you can have all day lounge access with free drinks and snacks and breakfast. Nice spa, gym and swimming pool are well facilitated.

The washroom can be a little bigger especially the shower area

Wonderful location. But during the New Year holidays there was thick fog and all the beautiful photos from the window did not come together. It's a pity..Everything else exceeded expectations..The general manager of the hotel does a good job..Professionals work everywhere .High level of service in all restaurants and bars .Fresh food. Quick solution to all problems at the reception .beautiful well maintained spaces in the lounge lobby restaurant and hall Everything in the room is in good working order. Hot water and heat in the room. In general, I liked the New Year's Eve celebration and my stay in this hotel. Thank you.

Fantastic location on the Danube with a beautiful view of castle hill and the chain bridge, next to Vaci Ut. with all the shops and restaurants. Great breakfast. Powerful shower! Close to public transportation that's FREE to everyone over 65, even foreigners!

The location was amazing -- right by the chain bridge with easy walking distance to the castle. The breakfast buffet was really good too!

The InterContinental Budapest is a great hotel with very nice rooms, especially those overlooking the Danube. The gym is also a good amenity. The breakfast offers a nice variety of food, including eggs cooked to order. ​However, what truly makes this hotel stand out is its staff and their exceptional service. I was particularly impressed with Chief Concierge Gabor Sajtos, who went above and beyond to help secure transportation from the F-1 race when it was very difficult to arrange. ​Other examples of their excellent service included converting my unused dinner vouchers into a lunch, suggesting I use Bolt for a more economical taxi fare, and offering a complimentary late check-out. Because of the staff, I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Budapest

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at the InterContinental Budapest as a family with two kids. We booked the Grand Castle Suite with a riverside view and breakfast included. The room was spacious, spotless, and the view of the Danube was simply stunning. The location of the hotel is perfect, right by the river and just a short walk from Váci Street and many of the city’s main attractions. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service, especially from Ágnes and her team in the Club Lounge. Our son has a gluten sensitivity, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his needs. One evening, just before closing, they even stayed extra time to prepare a gluten-free cereal bowl just for him. Their kindness and attention to detail made a big difference in our stay. The Club Lounge itself was excellent, offering a delicious breakfast with fresh juices and made-to-order eggs. Since we booked a suite, we had access to the lounge throughout the day and enjoyed a great selection of snacks and drinks. The hotel has an indoor pool, which was a perfect midday break to cool off during the hot July weather. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We will definitely visit again!

Great location in the city centre, close to baths, restaurants, interesting places. Awsome view to Buda Castle and river. Very tasty breakfast with a plenty of choice and served coffee. Comfortable bed, clean and all room. Nice is coffee machine and kettler with coffee and tea in a room. Friendly staff, beautiful Christmas decoration in all hotel, nice restaurant and breakfast room.

Spa is poor, not clean, pool water was cold. There was a receptionist who doesn’t care that hotel guests go to see sauna and pool in winter clothes and shoes which they use outside, very disgusting. In the room there was a bit cold, air condition is too loud to be switched of during night. There is a poor soundproofing between the rooms, you can hear everything from the neighbours rooms. But the guests were very polite, so there was no problem with noise.

The location was top, right in the heart of the turistic zone. The room was large and had an amazing window to the Danube and the Buda castle. Parking was accessible and we had space also for our bikes.

In the mornings there was quite a lot of noise generated by the cleaning personnel working in nearby rooms. It is a problem common for many hotels, but I believe they should be more careful or start cleaning the rooms a little later. Also, in 2 of the days I tried to take a nap and set the DND sign outside. It was ignored in both days by the personnel and entered the room while I was asleep :)

The view from the room was the best!! The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast delicious. The location is amazing.

We didn’t have Hungarian money our first day, so we brought a big tip for breakfast staff the 2nd day, but the woman wouldn’t serve us. We ate at the hotel restaurant and left a tip when they took our card, and they didn’t bother to tell us they had already added a tip to our bill, which would have been honest. So, our Budapest experience even with this nice hotel and with one other experience with taxi (the one time we didn’t take Bolt) felt like being with wolves. (Says Jim’s wife-she wouldn’t stay here again.)

Staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was really good and not at all forced. Room was of a good size and the bathroom also sizeable. Stocks of the free tea and coffee were replenished daily. Wifi was good. It was nice to be able to access a swimming pool and sauna. The bar had a nice atmosphere and every night there was a pianist playing. Breakfast was also good - ample food and a nice range of foods Location is excellent, right on the river opposite the castle and only a 5 minute walk away from bars and restaurants This hotel was a treat for us, celebrating an anniversary so more than we would normally spend, but it did feel like a "treat" to be here.

I am being picky for the sake of something to write - in the room the plug sockets and charging ports were all on the opposite side to the bed, so could not charge phone next to bed - not the end of the world We also had no access to stairs, only lifts - I personally, for fitness reasons, like to walk up and down stairs, but we could not find them anywhere
