The service was exceptional. This is a unique hotel where they really look after their guests. We have been fortunate to stay in some of the most amazing hotels around the world and this is probably one of the smallest, but for service levels it would be right at the top. In my opinion, the way to evaluate a special hotel is not just by its facilities,which in any case are excellent, but by the way they look after their guests when issues arise. I will give you a good example. Our airline left my wife's suitcase thousands of miles away.This contained all her clothes and essential unique medication that had to be placed in the hold and not in her hand luggage, due to its nature. They really helped to recover the suitcase whilst the airline customer services department did not appear to appreciate the urgency of the situation and showed a real indifference to their very stressed passenger's needs. This was even when travelling in business class! Not that it should make any difference whatever class you travel in. This is the 2nd time Iberia Airlines have lost a case in only two flights with them. A very good record by any standards!

Ideally, I would have liked a few less stairs, but this is a very old original property and the installation of an elevator would prove to be quite a challenge.But I believe even this, they will try to do in the near future, if it is at all possible.

We loved the aesthetic vibe and the gorgeous decor. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful providing great local restaurant and activity recommendations in the area. The breakfast provided was wonderful with so many great options and the woman that made my eggs was nothing short of a chef because my eggs were a work of art!

A few things in our room were broken (bed frame was broken at the foot end and outlet cover near the bed was hanging off the wall). There was a ton of tiny ants on the tables in the main dining area where we ate breakfast. And overall our room, bathroom and the main areas around the hotel could use a good thorough cleaning. It felt kind of dusty and our bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well as I found hair in the shower and the sinks weren’t cleaned well either. The carpet on the floor in the bedroom felt dusty and could’ve used a wash as well.

I had some issues with the room upon check-in, but management was able to re-accomodate me, even though I preferred the decor in the original room of choice. It was very humid, and humidifier was too noisy. Some things are dated and may need restoration or replacement.

The smell was phenomenal and the decor was beautiful. The people were nice and accommodated everything we needed. It was definitely a very intimate spot for couples.

When getting into the room there was a lot of stains on the bed sheets, pillow cases, chair, and the big couch.

A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the old walled city, walking distance to the clock tower, Central Park, pier and many great restaurants.

The staff and the facilities were beyond my expectations. Staff was very friendly and met every need... also the facilities were beautiful and clean. It was my first time in Cartegena and I booked this location on a whim... not only was every part of the hotel instagramable :D but it was spacious and gave you a modern luxurious feel with several pools, great chefs, and even a rooftop bar!

The only slight downside was the noise in the morning - coming from the outside. It wasn't terrible, but I am a very light sleeper and woke me up.

The location is perfect. The shabby boho chic design is delightful. The breakfast is fantastic- but most of all the staff - especially Richard at the pool bar upstairs.

Everything was very nice. Special thanks to Alfredo, the chef, who would bake fresh bread and cake every day for breakfast! We loved it!

The aesthetics of hotel are beautiful! Chef Alfredo was amazing. Literally walking distance to everything. Right across the main attractions but when inside it is super intimate and not rowdy.
