The level of automation (staff avoidance) was impressive. The hotel has no front desk and no staff readily available to help guests. I spoke with one lovely young woman who actually spoke to and assisted guests who had figured out how to get into the facility, and saw a handful of other service staff during my 3 day stay. In another hotel I likely would have interacted with more people. But Stay Koook seems to emphasize an automated rather than a personalized experience. The hotel is very close to the Bern Wankdorf station; that was a treat. The Bern Wakndorf station is about a 5 minute train ride from Bern Hauptbahnhof. The "Bern Ticket" available to guests is great and makes getting around town for sightseeing easy and cheap. The common area was welcoming, though guests from some countries did not put effort into keeping the common area clean for other guests. The rooms are very cleverly and thoughtfully designed, with the exception of the glass door to the bathroom. Every inch of space is used with purpose.

If there were instructions to clarify how exactly to go about checking in and getting into my room, I didn't see them. Once I got to the hotel I had to struggle with obscure online forms and apps to get into the building. Have all your passports, credit cards, etc. handy when you try to check into the hotel. I believe that Switzerland, like France, has a lot of rules about disposing of trash. I never did figure out how to dispose of empty glass bottles. My wife repeatedly ran into the glass door to the bathroom; this is a safety hazard.

The rooms were great ; common area great and the app was super easy use. The Hotel is a flat walk from rail line ..2 minutes ..and staton has a train it’s seems every 5 minutes to Bern..I also enjoyed the pizza evening and the excellent customer service ..

Nothing stands out

This was by far the best apartment experience I've had so far. The location is excellent – right next to Bern Wankdorf station, from where you can reach the city center by train in just 5 minutes. The apartment had everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It was clean, thoughtfully designed, and you could really see the attention to detail. One thing that took a bit of getting used to was that everything was controlled via a mobile app – the room key, elevator, parking access, etc. – but the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything clearly. There's also a grocery store and an underground garage in the same building, which made our stay even more convenient. Highly recommended!

The property was 10/10. Firstly, we met the host and they were friendly, kind and very accomodating of us. The facilities were amazing and rooms were perfect for our group. The communal space was available all hours too which was great for us.

We stayed at Stay KooooK Bern Wankdorf and had a mixed experience. The online check-in process was smooth and innovative — it was actually our first time trying a fully digital hotel system, which we found quite interesting. However, there was no staff on-site, and when we had to call for support, the communication felt a bit unfriendly, which left us with a slightly negative impression. The hotel is located near the train station, but it felt a bit far from the city center. Also, the hairdryer in the room didn’t work, which was a minor inconvenience. On the positive side, the interior design was excellent — modern, clean, and very well thought-out. We really liked the room and its overall aesthetic.

very smart design apartments very well use of space with the moving wall so you still have queen bed and full use of kitchen lots of storage coffee machine with pods and tea very clean easy to use check in great to be able to have a room slightly early game for entertainment too had everything you need chromecast on TV right above a coop and right by the station so you can get to everything you need

apartment needed an ironing board also there was only German and French channels on TV whereas all other places have had international channels. the chromecast was very useful though

We had stayed at the StayKook in Geneva and loved that we had a kitchen facility and fridge/freezer storage for food when we were travelling out daily for hikes. Great storage and HUGE bathroom. Although not a huge amount to do around the area, fantastic links with the trains and travel pass to back in Bern within 3mins! Very modern communal area with additional facilities in addition to fantastic facilities in the room.

Slight smell from the drains in the bathroom and saw a couple of silverfish bugs in there too. I know they’re harmless but didn’t expect to see them on the trip.

I've been staying at this hotel every other week for over a year now, and I've always found the staff to be incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient, especially with the nearby train station. The gym and kitchen facilities are great perks, and I appreciate the weekly evening snack party they organize. The storage lockers are a huge help, especially since I travel frequently.

The modern rooms can feel a bit small at times, though they are always well-equipped with everything you need. Occasionally, other guests might stop your washing machine or dryer in the common laundry area, so it's something to keep an eye on.

Clean, comfortable, tastefully done and thoughtfully furnished and stocked. Conveniently located next to the train and tram station / terminal just 10-15 mins’ away from the city centre. There’s also a Coop downstairs for groceries. The rec room / communal area is nice to hang out at, with coffee and tea-making facilities, free fruit, honey / jams / butter and bread in the mornings. There is also a pool table and games for young families. The hosts were friendly, super responsive and accommodating. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

There isn’t much of a view or anything to do around the hotel, but it has good access to public transport and isn’t that far from the city centre.

The room heating was not properly functioning. Room was getting over heated and at times over cooled.the temperature controller in room was not able to adjust as per our needs. Due to over heating, need to open window and let fresh air inorder to bring down the temperature.Toilet door is glass door without curtain. even u set room temp to 22 it wont set.. its always .. so u sweat when u wake up The room lighting wasn't bright.
