Hot breakfast in Bain Marie’s lukewarm every morning which was a pity. Choices were sufficient, cold continental section was excellent. When paying for breakfast at least keep it hotter.

We found that the hotel has renovated and un renovated bathrooms, we stayed on level 7 for 3 nights in a twin room with modern bathrooms, when we returned to stay another 5 nights a week later we were on level 2 with a bathroom with a shower over the bath and quite a step in and out for people, there were railings to support entry and exit, however comfort was compromised compared to renovated bathrooms.

Royal on the Park Hotel and Suites truly exceeded my expectations. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Brisbane CBD and just across from the beautiful Botanic Gardens. I absolutely loved the charm and history of the building; it has that rare character you don’t often find in modern hotels. The room was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and had everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I appreciated the added touch of a coffee machine for a great start to the morning. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. A real highlight was the complimentary drink voucher for the lounge bar each day — such a nice touch that made winding down in the evening a real pleasure.

The only downside was the lack of easily accessible power points or USB ports near the bed to charge my phone, but this was a small inconvenience in an otherwise flawless experience.

Booking.com (not royal on the parks fault) kept denying my debit card even though there were plenty of funds on it. They almost cancelled my reservation. Thankfully a call to the hotel and they were able to fix the issue. There were renovations going on in the hotel and you heard a tiny bit of noise during the day near lunchtime and we were heading out anyways so it did not bother us

Excellent location within Brisbane CBD, across from the Botanic Gardens and the Brisbane River with all its bridges, easy walk to fabulous restaurants and cafes, nearby ezimarts, Queen St Mall, South Bank with all the eateries, Museum, Art Gallery, Library, QPAC and Convention Centre, the new Star Casino with all its eateries and magnificent view. Easy drive into area from all directions. Room service, cafe/coffee shop, restaurant, pool, spa and gymnasium plus helpful, polite and patient staff. Totally amazing. Looking forward to staying there again.

The only thing we couldn't get was room for more than two people as each room is the same fabulous size and setup with an extremely comfortable King Bed or twin, desk, two chairs, tv, wardrobes, good size bathroom, so we booked two rooms. Great rates though so it didn't matter. I had free wifi and bathrobes with slippers in my package plus drink vouchers for each night I stayed and parking was $20 per day.

Had booked for one night with my family and decided to stay on in Brisbane for some extra nights. Rebooked the Royal as I really loved the location. The view over the park is incredible. I would agree with some of the other reviews that the hotel is maybe a little dated, but maybe that adds to the charm. No complimentary water in the room, but easy to access refills in restaurant and bar. I like that, saves on plastic waste. Breakfast offered is reasonable, but when busy it can take a while to replenish items. There are plenty of really good options for food within easy walking distance. Pool area is lovely, maybe too cold for some people, but I enjoyed it!

We book a 'Premium' room and enjoy the free drink vouchers and cookies. We also like the king size beds which are very comfortable in the rooms we stayed in. The air conditioning was already on in the room when we arrived and it was a welcome relief to have a cool temperature to greet us as it was a hot day for our travel to the hotel.

There honestly wasn't anything we could fault about the hotel. We were in a good position, overlooking the Botanic Gardens, also central location from which we were able to walk along to watch the Anzac Day parade and catch buses to the Tangalooma Ferry port to visit Moreton Island.

The location for the concert I attended that evening.

I have no complaints about the property, the only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast, when I arrived for breakfast there was no cutlery when I sat down to eat my breakfast, the food was cold, there were issues with both coffee machines, went to get toast only to find out there was no butter . When we were finished it took forever for our table to be cleared. When we went to check out we were told at reception that all that remained to be paid was our car park fee, we did not have a car, this was resolved. Would I still stay there ? Yes I would . I think we just caught them on a bad day.

A nice hotel with a great location at the south end of the CBD next to the botanic gardens. About a 20 min walk from Brisbane Central station. Definitely go for a room overlooking the park if you can, so you can wake up to trees and flying foxes out the window. Fairly quiet location considering its location in the city. Breakfast was quite expensive as an add-on but very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar small and well stocked. Definitely serves an older crowd (think middle aged or elderly couples) and business visitors, but that means it's nice and quiet.

Be careful with your bill if you booked through a third party website. There was a mistake on my bill where I was overcharged $55 due to a computer error - it was rectified quickly once I pointed it out, but it would be easy to miss.

Great location opposite the Botanic Gardens, can just walk out the front entrance and you're immediately surrounded by nature. Close to the CityCat terminal, which is really convenient and easy to use to get around. Check-in was very efficient, parking cost 20 AUD per day. Room was spacious, little Easter treat for my grandson which was a nice touch. Good quality bathroom toiletries, really comfy beds. Package included breakfast, great choice and quality. Decided to stay on in Brisbane for an extra couple of days so extended my stay here as I liked it so much! Some rooms have USB charging points, but chargers available at reception if needed.

The premium park view room was really good, and worth the little bit extra for us to enjoy the Botanical Gardens whilst inside. We didn't realise there would be a bidet and it was an excellent surprise extra! We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant where the service was fantastic, particularly Mae. Location is excellent too of course.

Not the greatest soundproofing of rooms but neighbours noise was at reasonable hours so no issue for us. Just a note- pool doesn't appear heated so may be a little cool in Autumn to Spring if the sun isn't out! And one other thing that isn't a complaint but perhaps good feedback: we loved the red cushy armchair, so comfy- BUT there was only one! So the other person has to sit in the upright dining chair to 'relax'! Two would be amazing.
