Perfect location on the ground floor overlooking the tennis court and beyond that, the ocean. Close to the ferry for Magnetic Island and close to lots of restaurants, The Strand etc. We enjoyed using the tennis court and pool. Lovely sunsets over the ocean and the sunrise over Castle Hill. Beds were comfortable and good showers. Laundry was easy to use.

Apartment needs a re-vamp. Linen not in the best condition. Kitchen is outdated and lacking. It would be must better if it was stocked with more plates, glasses, cutlery etc so that you didn't have to constantly do dishes. Things like table runner and cushion covers were stained and need washing or replacement. These trivial things would really lift the apartment.

Whether from the balcony or the grounds, the scenery is picture-perfect. Excellent Location: Right on The Strand, close to cafés, restaurants, and the Magnetic Island ferry terminal – perfect for exploring Townsville on foot. Spacious, Well-Equipped Apartment: Large 2 bedroom unit with full kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and balconies – ideal for longer stays. Resort-Style Facilities: Saltwater pool, tennis court, spa, barbecue area, and beautifully maintained gardens add great value to the stay. Free Secure Undercover Parking with an elevator to the floor we stayed.

Internet Speed: While Wi-Fi is available, the connection speed was below expectations. Useless for streaming or video conferences. This was the main reason we could not give the accommodation a maximum rating. Improving the internet would significantly enhance the overall guest experience, particularly for those who need reliable access for work, streaming, weather updates, maps, communications, or even just planning the next day’s activities. The Wi-Fi was by far one of the worst we've experienced during our on going 60-day trip through Australia. While the kitchen is well equipped, a proper coffee machine was missing – something we would expect at this level of accommodation.

Fantastic Upper-Floor 3BD Apartment with Stunning views. Our stay in this upper-floor, three-bedroom apartment was nothing short of exceptional. The breathtaking views of the Strand and the island were a highlight—we could even spot turtles and fish in the ocean from our balcony. While we didn’t catch a glimpse of the resident crocodile, the scenery more than made up for it. At night, Castle Hill was lit up and a marvellous nighscape. The location is ideal, situated at the quieter end of the Strand. On previous visits, we stayed at the busier end and near the casino, but those areas proved to be quite noisy. This time, we truly appreciated the peace and serenity. While the nearby restaurants would have been within walking distance, they were unfortunately closed due to the weather event. The café next door at the Marina served excellent coffee and breakfasts, showcasing that signature North Queensland hospitality. A special mention goes to the outstanding management at Mariners, who handled the adverse weather conditions with professionalism and care. Despite torrential rain, flooding, and a delayed flight, they kindly accommodated our request for a late checkout. Their friendly and empathetic approach was truly appreciated, even though it wasn’t expected. We did make the last flight out of Townsville before the airport closed due to floodwaters. The apartment itself was cosy and equipped with all the comforts of home. Given the extreme weather event, we felt safe and secure—a wonderful place to be stranded. We are incredibly grateful for the experience and had a pleasant, restful stay. Highly recommend this accommodation! We will be back next year. Thank you from the Gold Coast gratefuls! :)

Nothing with the accommodation. Our stay was too short. The insane once in 100 year extreme weather event.

Perfect location, close to everything. The apartment was a good size with a beautiful sea breeze blowing in. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you could think of.

The apartment could have done with a little bit of a makeover. The undercover car park was too small for larger cars. Had to park in visitors space, which was fine as it was still on the property of the apartment. The ensuite was a bit of a squeeze, but overall you weren't sleeping in there.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything we needed. Very spacious with a beautiful view of the Strand. Tennis court was a lot of fun. Pool looked good but a bit cold to go in . We are looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to make use of it. Reception was fabulous...very friendly and accommodating. Location is fantastic. Can't wait to head back to Townsville in the future and staying here again. Thank you for making it a great weekend

A great family friendly complex with helpful, friendly staff. Our apartment (number 45) was a very good size, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the water, Castlehill and the Strand as well as views of the mariner from the bedrooms. We enjoyed the use of the pool, spa and tennis courts, which were all well kept. The kids also enjoyed the free WiFi. Located in a great central location, within walking distance or a short car ride to most things. Off street secure parking was also supplied. Afterhours check in was very easy, with no issues. This apartment is great value for money.

Overall quite pleased with all

The Laundry Bathroom requires some improvement. The shower in the bath is a health and safety concern especially for the elderly ( we 82,79,79,74.) more so the floor tiles slippery / dangerous when damp. Antique bath should be replaced with walk in shower and some sort of non slip matting on floor tiles (replace with more suitable flooring ( I actually slipped heavily ) The door on this room requires resecuring ( will not shut properly) Toilet seat has seen better days . We over come these concern had to use ensuite bathroom note always appropriate

In the apartment (37) we occupied the Queen Bed could be upgraded comparatively economically to considerably enhance the experience. The TV could do with a basic sound bar as the sets sound quality is very poor and boarders on annoying / unusable.

Great location! And a spacious apartment with comfortable beds. We arrived on a late flight and had to get our keys for the apartment from a lock-box at the entrance; the instructions we were sent were perfect and the late night access to the apartment was easy.

Our room lacked a safe and as international visitors we felt that we had to carry our passports with us.

From arriving at the place, all the way to leaving, customer service and administration was amazing! I was notified that we could check in from 12pm via text the day before our arrival which was exceptional. Beds and pillows were so comfortable! Couldn't rate highly enough how comfy they were. 2bdr apartment was spacious via the stairs, easy access into all facilities

Only let down was the lounge was a bit dated ans a bit stiff. And 1 warm blanket between 2 single beds to share in the rooms were the let downs. Other than that, all good from family of 4.
