The Location is excellent, next to Interlaken Ost Train Station, Supermarket, Restaurants, Pharmacy...etc. so anything you need is just next to you. The staff are really helpful and kind. The Hostel is brand new, well designed from inside. The check in process was so easy and don't forget to ask about your guest card which will give you access for public transportation for free, casino for free and major discounts on many other attractions, experiences in Interlaken and nearby cities. The room was spacious enough and clean. The bed was comfortable. The Toilets were always available and clean same for shower. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent, and the breakfast was spectacular since you have a lot of variety and that's good point for the hostel. There is a big locker room where you can keep your luggage which is for free (most hostels charge you for keeping your luggage) so I appreciate it.

Nothing At All

First thing first, they provided the Interlaken day pass which saved us a lot. Somehow there is a bus and train station right outside the hostel. You can go to Grindelwald or Jungfrau mountain easily from here. The breakfast provided is bread, yogurt, cheese, meat, and a coffee machine. You only have to deposit 20CHF to get a hairdryer and deposit some amount which I forgot already can store your hand carry bag in a locked cabinet. The staff is freaking friendly, they always give the best suggestions to the travelers on where to go if current planning goes wrong. Superb stay.

If the hostel could provide a curtain for each bed would be the best. There the other travelers who wish to sleep earlier can just isolate themselves with the curtain and the other people wouldn't bother those who want to sleep earlier. Overall is nice!

I like the location within 3 mins walk from Interlaken ost train station, staff are friendly, allow us to store luggage before check in and after check out. Room was clean and comfortable.

Only 1 microwave at level 1 common kitchen we almost queue up for 1 hrs to heat up my dinner. Toilet light sensor are too fast to switch off the light during the midnight.

The location was just outside of the station, all travelling moving was very convenience. The stuffs are giving a nice help. We were leaving very early, the hostel provided take away breakfast for us, that was very appreciate. Keep the luggage’s before or after check in that was very value for us.

No any cup in the room, I don’t know how to brush the tooth without cup. If supply the paper cups which didn’t cost a lot. We are first time stay in the hostel, we don’t know the rule. No cups, no cattle, no fridge, sure it also no tea or coffee bags.

Some staff are very accommodating..the location is close to almost everything like groceries , stores, trains, bus, harderkum, boat rides , lots of places to eat.. breakfast was ok not much of choices..very clean in the rooms and upstairs common dining . That their is lockers provided and guest card..

1- no AC or electric fans 2- dirtiest bathroom in the lobby. Foodcourt downstairs is also dirty 3- prices of food downstairs is expensive 4- The idea that guest made to strip beds take out sheets, towels and trash ??, wherein we felt we paid for that services and we are on VACATION away from our daily routine.. I'm in the private room !!!

Staff at the reception is helpful and friendly. She gave me the travel information and took my 50th birthday an important thing. She gave me the hotel's refrigerator's space for my birthday cake as there isn't any refrigerator in the hotel room. She also helped me with taking photo with my birthday cake as she noticed that I traveled alone. The hotel gave me the excellent mountain, river and city view room as my request for my 50th birthday, I'm really appreciate that. I was really happy to stay there. I will stay here again on my next trip to Interlaken. The hotel is in the good location near the train station with the excellent view. There is also supermarkets and restaurants near the hotel. The hotel also has it's own restaurant and the food taste good.

It would be better if there is refrigerator, shower cap and hair dryer in the room. It would be better if the hotel use blackout curtains in the room. It was too bright to sleep. The breakfast time should be longer than 9.30 a.m. and should be more options.

The location was the best. The hostel is right next to Interlaken Ost, so it's easy to get to, and is very convenient for catching early morning trains to Lauterbrunnen/Grindlewald. There's also a bus stop and Coop market right in front of the train station. You can ask the hostel reception for an Interlaken guest pass, which will give you free bus travel. The Harder Kulm funicular is just a few minutes walk from the hotel as well. There aren't that many hotel options near Interlaken Ost, and of those this hostel is probably best value.

You have to lay down your own sheets and bedding. If your room doesn't have a bathroom attached, you have to pay to rent a towel. Laundry is also 5CHF each for washer/dryer, so it's 10CHF to do a load. The laundry room also closes after 10pm, which can be inconvenient.

Interlaken Youth Hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. The hostel was clean, well-organized, and conveniently located right next to the train station. The breakfast was excellent and gave me the energy I needed for a full day of exploring. The free city transportation pass was also a huge plus, making it easy to get around. I stayed in a 4-bed room, but I ended up having it all to myself, which was a nice bonus. The hostel provides hair dryers at reception for free with a 10 CHF deposit, and the lockers in the room were spacious enough to store my carry-on backpack. There’s also a convenient luggage storage option for those who want to explore after checkout. The staff was very friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I would happily stay here again.

Felt like 10m from the train station. We could see the hostel from the station. Across the road was also Coops which is like a supermarket so great for cheaper food and drinks. Hostel was set up great felt like a normal hotel, very flash. Breakfast had a huge selection. Lots of tables and chairs to sit at outside to enjoy the beautiful location. It made Interlaken affordable. Toilets and showers a short walk from rooms on each level. Small camp kitchen with kettle and microwave

No air conditioning, room was quite muggy being September. Bottom sheet which everyone has is scratchy fabric. Rooms are very small, I noticed one room of boys left their hiking boots and smelly socks outside their door, clever.

Right next to Interlaken ost station. You can store your luggage before and after checkout. Room has good size lockers that work with your room key. There was also a separate area for hanging coats as well as shelves for storing toiletries near a common sink in the room. I liked that there was a partitioning sliding door. Good size room. Many young families were present. Lounge available with kettle and microwave. Good meal options at the restaurant.. They customised my meal on my request. I stayed one night and got an upper bunk. Found difficult to climb up and down on the slim ladder. knocked my knees quite a lot. I had another booking in the same hostel after a couple of days so I requested the receptionist for lower bunk . Also, staff honoured my request to reserve lower bunk. On returning, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Note on a Lower bed that it was reserved for me.

Electric plug on my bed had Loose connection so it did not charge my phone. Other plugs in the room was being used by other girls in the dorm so I had to use plugs at the living area. The ladder in the bunk bed isn’t comfortable. The slim ladder lacks sufficient foot print and handle to climb against.
