Fantastic staff, lovely breakfast. Lots of options such as spa, sauna, kayaking - we didn't have time to do so will have to come back. Great room with pool table, we played several times which was fun.

Bedding was quite hot, not keen on sleeping with sythentic covers - prefer natural fibres such as feather, cotton, wool. No cotton blankets available so we were given multipe sheets to use instead of a cotton blanket.

Our stay at this lodge was exceptional. The property is ideally located by the lake, offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. It features amenities like free kayaks, a jacuzzi, and a sauna, perfect for relaxation. The hotel is just a 10-minute drive from various restaurants, balancing convenience and tranquility. The hospitality of the caretakers, Sheryl and her husband, was outstanding, making us feel very welcome. The property was impeccably clean, and the English breakfast buffet was delicious!

Great location right onto the lake. Surprisingly we had the use of kayaks and jacuzzi on the shore line. After a day of sightseeing the jacuzzi was just what we needed. We had the use of a shared kitchen which meant we could top up with extra tea bags and also store some food items. The staff were outstanding and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. They even had Gluten free bread for my partner. Nice wide choice of breakfast options and fresh coffee.

We were not there very long, but long enough to enjoy the hot tub / sauna by the lake! The breakfast was amazing and there were not so many people in September, so we were able to have good conversation with the owner. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable.

The only thing was the motion sensor light by the hot tub. It is definitely needed for safety and I am nitpicking, just wish I could have turned it off and enjoyed the night sky.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The bed was incredibly soft, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and engaging, making for some enjoyable conversations. The bathtub was spacious, and the room was warm and cozy. Additionally, the view from the room was breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel!

The staff were friendly and the lodge was situated ideally on the edge of the lake. Our room was behind the lodge but we still had a lake view. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts were very accommodating.

The room facilities were quite dated and the property needed quite a bit of maintenance as in the grounds and driveway. I think there was only a couple managing the lodge so extra staff (which is had to find at the moment) would have helped. Better signing would also be good as it was quite hard to identify from the road.

One of the two best properties we have stayed in while we've been in New Zealand (20 to date). From the check in to checkout everything was perfect and Simon in particular went to great lengths to ensure we were totally satisfied. Rooms were well equipped, clean with comfortable beds, the breakfast was superb and the other facilities (sauna, hot tub and kayaks were in good condition. If I return to Rotorua I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

A stunning location in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rotorua. We loved this lodge. The staff and management were exceptional in ensuring we were comfortable during our stay. The breakfast was delicious!

Koura Lodge was located in such a gorgeous, peaceful spot on the lake. We were lucky to have perfect weather to enjoy the setting - plus having a sunset spa and sauna right by the lake was a big bonus. Our host was the most sweet and helpful lady, I adored her. The rooms were great, all the different breakfast options provided were simple and yet really tasty. My partner and I felt very well looked after.

We were upgraded to the 2 bedroom apartment, which was a great way to start off our stay. The apartment was beautifully clean and well appointed, with amazing views out to the lake. Breakfast the next morning was also a highlight! Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and welcoming - thank you!
