I underestimated the Eight Pence. The room was nicer and more comfortable than I expected. I knew it would be clean from the reviews. Our room had a large bathroom that could comfortably fit a small round dining table if anyone were so inclined., thats how large it was. The shower was similarly large enough to reenact the Albanese vs Dutton debate including a few audience members. We did not know it was there before arriving but there was a nice gazebo area with a gas barbecue and large table that could fit ten or so. The room had plates, glasses, and cutlery to use. Plenty of restaurant options, from Macca's to fine dining, within a couple blocks walk. Also chemist and shopping in that same area.

I thought the room rate here but also for similarly rated competitor properties were a bit higher than they should be.

room was very good and bed comfortable, location was perfect within walking distance of the town and beach etc, getting to the location was great as well, due to the street accommodation being away from the main road.

The water pressure in the shower for hot water was not great, despite turning the tap multiple times the pressure only stayed high for a couple of seconds before going back to a trickle. The fridge in the room was quite loud when it ran its cooling cycle, not a huge issue but did wake me up in the night a couple of times, before I got used to the cycle.

Great room, spacious, clean, comfy bed, dark at night, quiet - perfect for a good sleep! Room looked as if it had been upgraded recently, excellent bathroom, kitchenette with plates/cutlery etc. Couldn't fault it - the best value for money, and best room so far on our trip. Good location, a 5 minute walk got us into town and restaurants (must check out Lost Cat restaurant - fab). Easy check in, and very friendly and helpful reception staff.

clean and had everything we needed for a romantic stay away. Great spa bath, double shower, huge king bed. Also wonderful guest info folder and a great delivery service from a local restaurant which was delicious and reasonably priced ($70 for two great meals) came in proper crockery and piping hot. We were blown away by the service too, I don't know the managers name but she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

Good heating and facilities. Upgrade to a king bed was a bonus. Plenty of parking and ground floor room was easily accessible. Great location with a short walk across the road to the main shopping strip and cafe's.

Great location, and the rooms are clean. Grateful for a smart TV

The bottom sheet is not a fitted sheet, so it’s very annoying to have the sheet under you curl up during the night. We were constantly having to rearrange the sheets every time we rolled over. This was annoying. Instead of housekeeping making the beds, they just left clean towels, this level of service didn’t meet the price point, or expected service level.

The motel exceeded my expectations as it was such a reasonable cost. It was within walking distance of the main shopping strip in Warrnambool which included restaurants, pubs and fast food. The room was a lovely size, also the bathroom. Unlike other motels I have stayed in Eight Spence was accomodating for making a light meal with basic plates ect and cutlery. A microwave and kettle and toaster. Perfect for an overnight stay. Absolutely everything was meticulously clean . The hosts were very friendly with a warm greeting on arrival.

Everything was wonderful.

The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely set up. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. And easy book in and check out. Beds are comfy, spa was amazing (just took time to full up, so don't want to get in the spa in a hurry lol. Overall had a great time

My only real issue was the lighting in the room. - The blinds on the windows let in to much sun through the edge of the windows this made it hard to have a a afternoon nap or to sleep in the next morning. And a must remember to shut bathroom door or sun light will come in there also. - and just unsure about the lights in the bathroom, dunno if it was just my lack of having to do it lately or the lights made it very hard to apply make up as it was hard to tell if I was applying evenly or not. Ended up taking it off as was unsatisfied.

The room was comfortable, especially the beds. The layout is perfect for a family - we had my mother in one room and she felt a little awkward having to go through the main room to get to the bathroom, but this was a minor detail. Being a motel, the car park area is quite noisy in the early morning but nothing major. The lady at the reception was delightful when we checked in.

The internet was weak and sporadic.

So fresh looking and looks like it was recently painted so clean I couldn’t fault it, even the shower was spotless. The bed was so comfortable it’s the best I have ever slept in. I usually wake up with a sore back but not with this bed.

The car park area was odd had to park away from our room the stairs were a bit old and rail was lower than usual.
