Fantastic views, clean, tidy, modern, good aircon!

We had checked in early in the morning knowing our apartment wouldn’t be ready until later in the afternoon, however when we turned up at the time given to be given access to the apartment, we were left waiting for over 45 minutes for our host to turn up. Also the advert on booking.com gives the impression the room has a balcony but this is incorrect information.

Very good location in Central Business District, restaurants and bars nearby. Short walk to V and A Waterfront. Excellent security in hotel including parking. Friendly staff.

This is not a reflection of the Urban Elephant itself, but an important point about the area. Although the hotel is based on a main street, appearing safe, we were scammed on the 3rd morning of our stay by three men on Bree Street dressed as friendly security guards. They said we needed special passes to visit the area due to demonstrations, and In the process, they stole our credit cards, be warned!

The apartment was great, fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful view They have a small gym that even if not well equipped was enough for a good training session The building is very safe, but we didn't feel completely safe walking to the waterfront from there. We were always bothered by someone during the walk.

The check in was pretty traumatic. I was informed that somebody would assist us for the parking, but when we arrived nobody was there. I parked quickly on the side of the road while my girlfriend went inside to get information about the parking but the guys inside didn't care at all and wanted to have all our information before letting us park. Meanwhile a very rude woman outside was pressing me and writing down my cars plate because I couldn't park there. So, a very stressful start They provide some water but I wouldn't suggest drinking it because it didn't taste or smell particularly good

Facilities were fantastic, and the room was perfect. Views from the balcony and from the rooftop pool were amazing with a full view of table mountain. Our host for Urban Elephant was lovely and very welcoming.

Although they made us feel safe and ensured the building was secure, I feel that the security staff could have been kinder and more welcoming on our arrival and during the check in process.

Everything, it was clean, safe and the pool and bar area was the cherry 🍒 on the cake. Fab place. Will use this apartment again. So central. South africa good location for Thursday and Sunday bree street, pedestrian nights.

It took a while, getting your fingerprint set up and the photo. But I understand why you use this system. Not that it worked very well. It kept rejecting my photo.

Apartment - well located, comfortable and had everything to feel like home. The kitchen os complete, very functional. Cherry on top - Hospitality expressed by a guy named Kudra. His warming reception was beyond expectations. He was also available all times to help in everything we needed.

Lovely apartment. Good location. We stayed in 2 sets of stay here as had a few days away and the reception stored our big luggage for us which was great. Very organised. Good pool area as an option too, great views. Would use again as great all round. Even a few good restaurants/bars on same road.

The place is located right in the heart of town and it's close to all the entertainment. The building is neat and clean, the staff is friendly. We forgot a card holder in the apparent we stayed in and we were notified even before we realized that it was missing. Smah made sure it was packed up handed it over to the courier herself and we managed to send it to Durban in no time. So even an experience that was supposed to be so unpleasant turned out not being so bad after all making our overall stay perfect. 🙂

The building does get quite busy at the reception area especially in the evenings and the face recognition camera sometimes requires you to scan twice before it authenticates, which can be a bit annoying but I did appreciate the tight security, I never felt unsafe.

The best location, nice apartment with all facilities, great pool with bar and the best view!! Warmly recommended!!
