This hotel was luxury, clean, had comfortable beds and it was central to various site-seeing locations. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, especially Marianne, Baby Girl and Shabeer from the breakfast section, they served us with the most friendly attitude and biggest smiles on their faces every morning whilst we stayed there for 8 days. I would definitely love to go back. Great experience!

No issues with the property. Though, it would have been nice if the shuttle service they provided ran to and from a few more sites close by rather than just the V&A Waterfront.

The hotel was super clean and ideal for our family needs. Staff at reception were welcoming, and we had a smooth check-in. Our room had a great city view and was cleaned every day. Enjoyed the restaurant experiences with friendly staff all around the hotel. Invited family for dinner, and the chef and waiters met expectations. Breakfast was great. All workers served with a smile. The chefs by the egg station were amazing!

Our safe wasn't unlocked when we checked in and we needed to use it right away. We then left our valuables in the bags. We reported and got helped the next day because we were out all day.

We stayed for 8 nights. Upon check in after a Quick Look we were told there was no booking. I told reception to use the booking ref and I have proof of payment and then she found the booking. After a long day maybe check property. The longer we stayed the less housekeeping delivered. We had to call for extra toilet paper twice. We came back one evening and there were no towels in the room. One of the days after the room was cleaned the in room dining table was left in the room. I think that you need to continue to maintain standards .

The service from staff was great, they served delicious breakfast that catered for a toddler. The complimentary shuttle to and from the V&A Waterfront made our experience of Cape Town seamless. Our room had beautiful views of the Harbour and a bit of Signal Hill.

They did not offer buffet options for dinner, which made it difficult to find homestyle food for our family. It also made dinner monotonous, given that most restaurants offer toddlers chips and chicken strips. The interior of the hotel was also very cold. The aircon could be adjusted, especially since it is located in a shady part of the city.

The breakfast was so perfect and its the type of breakfast that one can associate with the Sun hotels. The staff was so good and I was welcomed with love and comfort. Thanks to the team.

I think the hotel can do much better with that carpet. It is very dirty and need to be replaced. The building on the outside needs maintenance and its not attractive. It can do better with maintenance. We talking about Cape Town which is a world class city. I think Southern Sun need to shape up especially because they are next to CTICC and also located in a world class city, therefore they ought to be world class. Please kindly inform people about parking which is not for free. On check out I was told I need to pay for parking and I refused because I was not told about it from the beginning.

The kids received their lovely welcome bags with snacks. And we received welcome treats in our room. They cleared our tables on time. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and attentive. The food was good. The restaurant and bar staff were attentive and friendly. They made my husband's birthday so special. The ladies sang beautifully for him and he received a complimentary slice of cake. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area. The pool towels are always refreshed and available.

The variety of breakfast sweet treats and breads could be improve a bit. And also the bacon was a bit on the dry side. However, I cannot fault anything.

Very nice facility, close to the Waterfront, but not on it. Our view was on the canals and towards the Waterfront, but also overlooking a busy street -- which was not too noisy at night. The room was small, but efficiently furnished, with comfortable beds. The pool was tiny -- and we did not use it. Breakfast was excellent, with several choices of hot and cold items, although rather crowded at times. The staff were friendly and efficient, although occasionally swamped with too many guests demanding their attention: we noticed that several fairly large groups arrived or checked out at times, which put pressure on the reception staff during those times. The free shuttle going to the V&A is fabulous. The driver made sure to return and do another trip if a pick-up was in such high demand that he could not take all the passengers at the same time. We also walked to the V&A during daytime hours, a short 15-minute trip on the canals, passing by some good restaurants and equipment rental stores. The walk would probably be safe after dark as well, but the hotel staff recommended against trying. Parking underground is affordable and safe, with in and out privileges.

We booked this hotel thinking we could walk to the Waterfront, but the staff advised against doing that at night. We still walked back and forth during the day and enjoyed the shuttle at night. The only time we had to drive or take an Uber was to have dinner at some of the nearby restaurants that were too far to be reached safely on foot and not far enough to be in the safe area at the Waterfront.

The facilities and people were fantastic, and is definitly a place to go back.

I think the breakfast can be improved by bringing in some vegetable options, i.e., salads and normal seasoning options like olive oil, salt and vineger. Although I am on top of the food chain, there is too much animal protein with little fibers but it come with the local culture of having a semi "irish breakfast". However, being the hotel international it should offer more options. In room dinning is fantastic 👌

Friendly staff. A really warm welcome when we arrived before check-in but managed to find us a room early so the kids could catch up on sleep. Hotel was quiet, comfy beds and free hourly shuttle to and from the Waterfront. The hotel helped arrange airport transfers which was very smooth and easy. Green Apple Tours are based in the same hotel and have a desk there and they were incredibly helpful with advice and providing drivers.

Breakfast was excellent, I enjoyed it everyday. there was this other lady who used to make us fried eggs and omelette in the morning, she was a darling always smiling and making us to feel so welcomed.

I was staying in Room 1051, I used a bath tub for bathing. for three consecutive days I had to was it myself before i can take a bath because the lady who was cleaning my room did not clean the tub. I reported it to the housekeeping but nothing was done, I was a bit disappointed.
