The rooms are large, very comfortable and clean as are the public areas. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food and the staff were lovely, helpful and efficient. Nothing seemed to be any trouble. Reception staff were also professional and friendly as were all of the front of house staff. The sun deck is very clean and comfortable too.

The only negative thing is the location because although the hotel is technically on the V&A Waterfront, it is not really safe to walk there from the hotel due to the road layout so it’s really a short (10-15 minute) Uber ride away. On the plus side, Uber fares are very cheap.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, including helping us understand how we can get to V&A waterfront by the hotel provided shuttle or boat. The hotel was very clean and provided an incredible breakfast! We had a truly comfortable stay and will book here again when next in Cape Town

Slightly isolated from the main centre, but this is no concern as it's only a small walk away and the hotel also offers free bus or boat transfers if you prefer not to walk.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the room was huge, clean, with coffee machine and we got complementary coffee pods. The AC/heating was adjustable, window was openable, so no problems with too hot/too cold rooms. Breakfast was great, very varied. Restaurant is also very good. Little shop at the ground floor was helpful if we wanted something small to eat. The shuttle was very useful when we wanted to go to the waterfront. The consierge helped with booking very good programs. Everything was really exceptional.

The weather. September is not the best month to stay there.

Excellent location with free shuttle service to and from the Waterfront. Very friendly and very helpful staff: reception, concierge (Mr. Michael), and restaurant/lobby. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great value / cost.

The room’s fridge was not stocked (no free items, no items to purchase), and the water was not re-stocked daily (not a major issue but it stood out in an otherwise excellent experience) No late room service. If you are hungry after 10 pm then you are on your own. There is a 24 hrs shop at the ground floor, but the items are limited and mostly snacks. No food.

Excellent hotel, great value for money. Large and comfortable rooms, complete with little amenities like a couch, toiletries, hair dryer, iron, etc and very clean and nicely kept. The breakfast was rich and nutritious, complete with extras like to-order omelets and poached eggs. I am lactose intolerant so it was wonderful to be able to get lactose free drinks and food. The staff is superb, super helpful, polite and kind. The reception is always staffed with hospitable and well trained people. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable and cater to any needs we had. The wifi works very well and the rooms have large screen TVs. The shower was perfect, pressurized warm water. It was also important that we did not feel the effects of the scheduled power cuts that happen every day in Cape Town.

The hotel does not have anything next to it, eg no cafes or restaurants and although on the waterfront, it is actually in the loading zone of the docks so it is not an area you can walk in. I was a bit surprised by this because I thought it would be more central but you cannot walk anywhere from the hotel. To make up for this, however, the hotel offers free shuttle service from morning til 9 pm that takes you to the busy parts of the waterfront (V&A area). There is also free boat service which my family took and loved. Overall, the hotel takes great care of its guests.

This was our first stay in Cape Town and from start to finish the staff made us so very welcome. They were all so friendly, helpful and genuine it was a pleasure to be in their company. Ebraheim was especially lovely as were Jonathan and all of the waiting staff ( Nes, Oni and Bongi in particular). The location to the city and the waterfront was ideal. A nice walk along the waterways or use of the complimentary water taxi was perfect. The food in the hotel was outstanding! Breakfast was included and covered every option. The choices were excellent and the quality superb. The buffet was substantial and on top of this you could order off the menu. Everything we tried was fresh, hot and tasty, notably the Shaksuka. The beetroot bread was also a highlight. We ate numerous times in the restaurant in the evening as the standard was so high. The fish specials were exceptional and despite eating at the waterfront we wanted to keep coming back to the hotel as it was just so good. On top of this the prices were so reasonable it was crazy not to keep enjoying it. The rooms were spacious, had everything you need and were kept spotlessly clean. Just make sure you get a mountain view as the harbour is a working port. All in all a fantastic stay with outstanding staff and food. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant and bar were situated on the working harbour side rather than the prettier canal side.

Rooms were spacious & comfortable Staff were all polite & helpful Breakfast was excellent Food served during the day was good The canal boat travel to the waterfront was regular & fun. Also the shuttle bus service was good but not very frequent. During the day the walk along the canal to the waterfront takes around 20 minutes and is very pleasant. Rooms at the rear of the property have views over table mountain and signal hill

At night it is impossible to access the property except by road which is frustrating especially when you are very close!! Some gated access would be a good idea. Rooms at the front of the property have views over the container port and cruise ship port

Breakfast was fantastic and location with the canal taxi was great.

It would have been nice to have a shuttle that ran to the water front when the canal taxi was not.

The staff was really helpful and welcoming at the get go, they made us feel right at home. We had a room with a mountain view that absolutely blows your mind.... The rooms were clean, comfortable and of decent size. The location of the hotel was ideal for our purpose as it is a mere 10 to 15 min walk to the V&A. Ubers were easily accessible to and from the hotel with a comfortable and safe drop-off area. We also spent some time lazing around at the amazing pool area with a lovely view of the mountain to the one side and the harbor to the other. They offered a nice and fully stocked breakfast in the mornings that hit the spot and got us ready for the days activities.... Overal it was a great experience and will definitely visit again when visiting this part of Cape Town again.
