Breakfast was varied and tasty - we had the continental but the food for the full breakfast looked great. Location was also good, as within walking distance of the Waterfront whilst slightly apart from all the hustle and bustle. I would like to mention the staff at Reception, who were outstanding in their willingness to help us, especially Lesley-Anne who was cheerful, efficient and friendly. It really made a difference to us as we had travelled a long way and needed assistance which was happily forthcoming. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and happy - happy staff, happy guests! We ate in the hotel dining room twice as the food was outstanding and not at all expensive. Drinks were also very reasonable.

Nothing at all. We were told that the hotel was under renovation but that it was nearly completed. This was a difficult situation as ongoing work meant minor inconveniences were met with from time to time, but again everyone was courteous, cheerful and accommodating. I can't say we didn't like it,, but it made our stay a bit quirky at times!!

Location is as good as it gets, very near V&A, enjoyed during new year festive too see the fireworks and some V&A stuff walking distance. If parking gets full we parked in the parking lot next door and reception just validates you parking. Bit further but scenic walk. V&A Area very secure especially this time of the season, constant patrols and surveillance.

When checking in there was a line too wait and rooms werent ready. Because they were still cleaning, wait took 30 minutes longer if you were not waiting at reception waiting for updates or getting the next available. As you can tell people where not happy as payments and bookings were done a while ago but honestly no need too take that out on hotel staff. I drove from JHB too cpt still kept a calm head no need for entitled international tourists too scream at workers at festive we all human.

The staff are amazing and could not make u feel more welcome. The hotel is nearing the end of a renovation; rooms are beautiful and although the restaurant and bar were not open more than offered alternatives for this. With excellent room service and cold food options, local restaurants on the door step. U did not hear any building work and our rooms were near to the reception area being worked on. A magnificent stay.

Nothing. We were made aware before our arrival of the renovation work and it did not impeded our visit at all. We cant wait by to come back when it is finished.

Great Location, we were aware that there would be no Breakfast or Pool availabilty due to ongoing building works during our stay. The Hotel had however made arrangements to use a reasturant around the corner to obtain a breakfast which we used. The building works dd not affect us at all which we had feared. We had an on going issue in our room with the air con unit which required Rodi the Maintenance Supervisor attended a number of times. Rodi was very throrough, friendly and proffesional in diagosing and determining the fault, a real asset to the hotel. There was a lot of Security Staff on durty Leading to and from the V&A from the hotel, this made us feel safe. Good Safe Parking in the Hotel Grounds.

Maintenance should do more routine inspections. Initially, on booking in, the aircon wasn't working, as well as the light in the entrance area (room) wasn't working. Maintenance man promised to fix the aircon the afternoon but didn't. Night shift man ended up fixing it. Toilet flushing mechanism (big flush) wasn't working. Hanger rail in cupboard needs to be tightened as the rail moves while trying to slide the hanger. . Rooms are tiny when compared to a nearby hotel that is much cheaper... however, the foyer at the other hotel wasn't as smart.

Very friendly and accommodating front desk personnel. Rooms have been newly furbished and have excellent lighting, spacious and comfortable beds. Location is excellent and parking easy.

The building is renovating so the usual bustle around this was evident. The breakfast area was not available, but the hotel gave ample warning for this, provided complementary tea, coffee and rusks as well as a vending machine with snacks. There was also a coffee shop a stone throw away for eats. I think the hotel handled the construction and guests very well

I like that the hotel was in a good area, close to most of the shops, especially V&A Waterfront and the hotel was very clean.

The hotel was under construction and the was a lot of noise, it was not comfortable at all.. I also didn't like that there was no bar fridge in the rooms..

Very well located within walking distance of both the V&A Waterfront and central Cape Town (Breë St and Bo-Kaap). Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Easy parking outside in gated car park.

The bar area is rather uninspiring. Was surprised to be asked to settle my R455 (£19) room tab a day before I checked out on the grounds that “such level of credit is not normally extended to our guests”. Nothing about this was mentioned at check in.

The location of the hotel is amazing, only a short walk to the waterfront and feels very safe. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection was great. Highly recommend staying here while in cape town.

It wasn’t that big of a deal but the door on the bathroom is glass, it is frosted but not all that sound proof. Overall its a great hotel and great value for the location so can easy overlook that.
